  1. Im looking for a new muffler for my 2001-2002 YZ125... i have a 2002 frame and body with a 2001 Engine and Trans.... All plastics have to be 2002 Mechanics (from what i understand) have to be 2001 Im wanting to know if this Pro Circuit pipe [PYO5250] will fit or if i can make it my 2001 engine?
  2. I currently have an 03’ klx 125 and it is difficult to wheelie, I have to lean really far back and pull up as hard as I can. I had a xr100 that would easily wheelie in 2nd gear without hardly any leaning or pulling. Is it a sprocket/gearing issue? I only do trails.

So ive got an 81 tt250 that i got, and the exhaust rocker arm was broken, so i tore into it, and the camshaft and other rocker are shithoused, the bearings are fine, so im not too worried, Ive cleaned out the motor to the best of my abilities, but now i need to find a cam shaft... (Part #99999-01446-00) i cannot find one anywhere online.... Can someone tell me what i can use instead... Help please @Nig
  4. Hi there! I recently bought an 86 xt350. It ran on full choke. I went about cleaning the carbs on it and the secondary carb had the main jet stripped out. So I tried an impact driver, and cracked the carb body. Turns out it's kinda hard to find a replacement. I have 3 questions. 1. Would anyone like to sell me a secondary carb for xt350 2. Has anybody tried a secondary carb delete. If so how did you go about accomplishing it and what size carb did you use. 3. Does another carb fit in its place. The xt600 appears to have similar carb set up Thanks for any help/advice given ?
  5. I found an old ASV clutch lever in my dad's old motocross gear. I assume it is for a 05-10 KX250F. It was still in the box and looked brand new. I have a 15 YZ250FX and was wondering if the lever could fit on my bike. The ASV clutch lever has a hot start lever on it, my bike does not. If I can't fit the lever on my bike it will give it to one of my friends. One has an 07 YZ250f and the other has a 12 KX250f. If I can fit the lever on my bike could i do anything with the hot start lever or will it just have to hang there?
  6. I have an rm250 2 stroke My crank case is badly damaged and I have tried to find parts for it. I have looked up rm250 crank case even on Google images and typed in 2006 2007 2008 and I still can't find a single picture to match my crank case on the whole of the internet. I found one frank case that looked the same but had minor differences from a 2001-2006 bike. I appears that after 2006 changes were made to the crank case design. But I can not find a single picture of a later crank case on the internet to confirm this I will post some pictures as to why I want a new/good condition one and the differences I can't confirm exist on any other crank case I can find anywhere. As you can see on the pictures there is some slight differences. The cases in the pictures were listed to fit 2001-2006. The other pictures are of my engine. Which does not match with a single picture I can find has another else stripped a later engine and found the case to be the same as mine? Any help much appreciated thanks guys I'm at my whits end with this one.
  7. I'm struggling (been struggling) on rebuilding my very first bike (2002 yz125 with a 2001 yz125 engine and trans.) I been watching every video imaginable on YouTube and looking at ever diagram available online for reassembly but I'm still having a hard time.... I'm so anxious to ride and learn how to ride but I'm nervous and scared and more concerned about learning what parts are what and how they work and how they go together before I even attempt to start her up.... I had ridden this bike for 30mins and the piston seized up (I think it was running too lean) and I replaced the piston and rings and installed the new one but I have not attempted to start the bike I figured since I had to replace the piston I might as well go thru everything and make sure there is nothing else damaged or waiting to fail on me and cost me even more money I don't have in the near future... However I'm not as educated about mechanics as I wish I was and I'm lost and frustrated with this process of rebuilding..... If I record a little video of my bike and exactly what problems I'm having with this would anyone here be supportive, kind, able and willing to give me their time, knowledge and wisdom and/or advice as to what I need and what to do so I can turn my dream into reality rather than reliving a nightmare everyday? Please and thank you to all who may have the time to spare and educate an eager learner and for sharing their wisdom with me. If anyone will help me please send me a link so I can send a video recording of my bike and where I'm at with it please and thank you all again!   11. So I need to thoroughly clean a few aluminum engine parts, but after they're cleaned I will be repainting them anyway. I read that Purple Power leaves the metal blackened, but would that be an issue for me since I am not going to polish it? Simply asking because Purple Power is only about $5 a gallon, while Simple Green is like $20. Edit: If Purple Power is used, can the metal still be cleaned and re-polished? Or does the degreaser leave a tint that can not be polished to chrome?
  12. Need magnetic drain bolt for my 2012 WR450, actually I suppose I need two, since there are two drain bolts. Having a very hard time finding one that fits 2012. All the fitments are for 2003-2011, 2016-2019. Are the drain bolts actually a different size on those years? I'm not paying $44 a pop for the GYTR magnetic drain bolts. Also I am in CANADA, so my options are limited. Hoping to get an ebay Chinese knock off but don't know the size and none of them have my bike year listed as a fit

  14. First post. Been lurking for a while here. My first 4 stroke, rode two strokes all my life. Ive had this bike since new in 15 and trail rode it pretty hard the last few years, always kept up maintaining filter and oil and valve checks. Well i was in a hurry and managed to put the oil filter in backwards one morning and after developing a loud knock i had it in the shop, they scoped it and the tech said theres was definitely some scoring on the cylinder wall and there might be some play in the rod bearing. I decided to just take it home and take it apart myself. I got the head off and im currently waiting for a flywheel puller that i ordered so i can finish taking the cylinder out. From what i can see with the piston down, the cylinder looks fine to me. I dont see or feel and chips, scratches, scoring none of it. I can see the original cross hatching or honing marks in it but nothing I would consider damaged. Im gonna take the cylinder into a couple shops and see what they say about it. So I have a few questions for you guys. 1. How can i check the rod bearing without splitting cases. Simple as pushing on the rod to see if theres any play there? 2. I 99% trail ride the bike, wanting to start racing our local GP series and maybe a hare scramble or something like that. Are there any parts you guys recommend i put in there while its apart? Heavier flywheel, different gearing? anything like that? From what ive been seeing a lot of the aftermarket parts are barely any more $$ than OEM and if it tames the 450 a little for the woods thats a huge plus for me. 3. I cant find any information on getting the cases back together after doing the repairs, they just bolt back together? Crank needs to be pressed back in? I dont have to do the old oven freezer bullshit do i? Bike is bone stock right now. Im also looking for suggestions on pistons and rings. Currently looking at either OEM or cylinder works.   15. Hello everyone, Does anyone know how much a dealership makes on OEM parts??? I recently had a catastrophic engine failure requiring a complete engine rebuild for my 450 thumper. The parts total (mostly OEM) is roughly $2500 after the service manager gave a 20% discount. He mentioned he would consider a price match if I found parts cheaper. And I did, 10% cheaper! Now he tells me how disappointed he is that his discount wasn't enough, and he is reluctantly going to do it, but its unfair and he is barely making any money on those parts. My estimate is $3,700 total. With a total that large, aren't they making enough profit on parts even with that additional 10% discount, plus the labor charge?
  16. Hey I got a 2000 KX250 and the subframe is absolutely annihilated and needs to be replaced. Finding one in my area has been a pain and online haven’t had any better luck. Is there another bike that’s compatible that I could use or an aftermarket one I could get? Anything helps at this point
  17. I have a 2011 TE 310 Dual Sport. Bought it last year used. Excellent bike. Love it.. BUT: is 2011 pre KTM where if something breaks I'm not going to be able to get parts?? I already can't get a starter for it.. It kicks easy but what if it's some engine issue?? Sell it while it's perfect?? Please advise.
  18. Hey there. So I decided to take apart the carb on my 2016 Drz400sm. Now I am not that mechanically inclined but I enjoy tinkering. However whislt putting it all back together I found a piece on my garage floor that I don't know where it belongs. Mistakes were made (mainly not taking pictures before) but I'm not even 100% sure it's off the bike really. Any help would be appreciated. I believe it's off the left side of the bike somewhere. Ive Recently Started A Top To Bottom Resto On An 03 Honda 400EX And Ive Pulled A List Of Parts Together That I Need To Replace...My Question Is, Does Anyone Know Of Any Reputable Websites/People That Sell In Good Shape Parts Outside Of Your Mainstream Websites? i.e. Partzilla, Rocky Mountain ATV, etc.. As Of Right Now The One Main Part Im Looking For Is A Complete Tip To Tail Wiring Harness For The Machine And Am Only Able To Find It In Most Cases In Sections Like On Ebay. I Understand There Is A Risk With Buying Electrical Harnesses Used, But The Price Of A New One Genuine OEM Is Just Far To High For My Taste...Any Responses Will Be Extremely Appreciated!! Thanks In Advance
