I told my wife I was buying a bike with everything I wanted on it when it's new, so I ordered this on Beta's BYOB at $12,000 total, in July '14 and received it Sept '14, a great deal for what's in the bike, I was surprised she was good with that. The bike has been reliable and has me riding faster than ever.-

As this bike comes stock, it is neither a good road bike, nor a good dirt bike. You can make it better at either one at the sacrafice of the other. I wanted a trail bike to explore the national forests around where I live. The problem is they are closed to off highway vehicles except for small designated areas. The beauty of this bike, is that after a few mods, (tires, sprockets, armor) I have a pretty legit dirtbike with a license plate. Where I live (California) you can no longer convert a dirt bike to be street legel. Its cheap to insure and I can still ride it around town and short trips on the freeway. One negetive you always hear about the drz is that its heavy - true if your lil guy;-) -
I'm curious to know about these pivot pegz, im practically sold on them, right now im in a cast because I cased a jump and hurt my achilles tendon. I had bad ankles for years now. So I started reading on pegs, because mine, on my 2007 crf450 are abnormally small. I was just about to purchase some TUSK pegs which I had before and they're ok, because I found them a little big. I can find these a little hard to shift. Then I started looking into these pivot pegz which sounds great. However no one reported anything when jumping with them. I'm trying to picture myself jumping with a peg that swivels... Has anyone tried these here? I don't do trail riding and im sure they would be great for that. Do they swivel on the landings? Do they make your ankle come down harder when landing? That's really the question that makes me or breaks me on these. 160-180$ is pretty much the top dollar i wanted to spend, but obviously would rather spend less. any input here would help.

I'm going to change my pegs and wonder what you've all tried so far. I'm interested in Pivot Pegs, has anybody found a source for ones that fit the CRF250L?
