So I have started fixing up my 81 XR100 I saved from my uncles Junkyard (old lady cleaning out her garage and wanted to get rid of it). I have it up and running but it needs a few things... My question is WILL the number plates from a 81 or 82 XR80 fit on my XR100? I have contacted Honda and not much help from them... I then tried Maier plastics and they have the plastic panels for the XR80 81-83 but that's it and they are not sure they will cross over. They told me to order the xr80 panels and see if they will work and IF i dont scratch them i can return them. Ebay, Craigslist, amazon are a no go. even contacted vintage bike shops in the EU and they had ONE XL side plate but it had just sold... ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE APPRECIATED! THANKS!

In search of used head and cams for rmz 250, 2008. I'm not sure other years except 07 & 09. If more please let me know. I am in mid 40s and have had a ktm250 stolen then a kx250 stolen and after buying a basket case kx250f and spending a year slowly putting together so I would have a bike again, I rode it to mailbox and parked in garage until I could rebuild carb. This was at lake house and I came home one evening to find it stolen while they left the r1, tig , arctic cat, seadoos, boats, utv, guns, etc. Now, I'm not hanging up the towel. I bought a seized rmz250 and found a broken piston and ruined cylinder with bent intake valves and broken guides. No journal damage but cams have a line cut around them but no lobe damage. Does the groove in the shaft require replacement and if so, anyone have a set in serviceable condition i could purchase. Also, I bought valves, guides, seals and will need seats cut and everything else installed. Intake only. I figure that even with parts I might get a better deal buying a used one. If not, who will do a non race job at a low reasonable cost for a bike that will see a max of 5 hours a year if that. Thank you

Hey guys, So I have a cracked front fender on my 02 Wr250f and all I can find are blue front fenders only and the problem is I want to change all the plastics with possibly a different color like black. If you guys know if any YZ model’s plastics or any other models would fit on my WR that would be great.
Hi I have just bought this old smoker to do up and was thinking about installing the newer plastics I.e 2007 does anyone have any info about the airbox?? Does it need to be melted into shape? Replaced or cut. bike has been stood for a long time it’s been in the family for years and the picture is of when it was being used also any info on how they ride and handle or any faults will be much appreciated. I am only 5”2 and am worried this will be a bit too big for me is there any way of lowering?? I will shave the seat down and re cover but is there any other way of making it smaller???
I’m looking to give my 98 Honda cr 250 an updated look. Maybe even match it to the retro color scheme my pit bike, an 03cr85. I haven’t ordered any thing yet but Im pretty confident newer front and rear fenders will bolt up. I’m not against a fresh set of 98 tank panels but I think the full length side number plates really give the bike a dated look. I was thinking of putting in an 01-02 air box and getting the number plates to match. I’m just curious if any one has played around with newer plastics? Thanks for any info. And don’t hate on me for having dirty bikes, they get ridden!
