So far, awesome machine! Changing out the 14t sprocket for a 13T makes a huge difference! Stock exhaust dropped 10 lbs off the bike and removing the rear fender/ lic plate assembly for a DRC Edge2 install dropped another 5 lbs and cleaned up the tail end quite nicely. Stock tires are find for light trail riding, but slippery hard pack or muddy conditions really show how a tire that does well on the street, makes for a lackluster woods tire. I have had this bike on technical terrain and the stock suspension has faired well. I am 190 lbs and the rear shock did require some addition of pre-load. Suspension upgrades are on the 'to do' list on down the trail.

Pics are from before I put any aftermarket parts on. Suspension is amazing and has great rebound no problems there. Engine runs really well and has no problem getting over jumps and around berms fast enough. A lot of power in the middle to top but you also get that pop up in the low end. Aftermarket part setup: Titanium Procircuit valves and springs, Weisco Elite Pistion, FMF 4.1 RCT Blue Anodized with FMf Titanium Megabomb Plus header, Hinson BTL Slipper Clutch, Boyessen Supercooler, Cycra Plastic Kit, a lot of other stuff
  5. I have a stripped timing plug (larger one, not the small one on top). Not a big deal, as I have just put the bike in 5th gear and go to TDC from there. But I purchased some Zeta timing plugs and would like to install them. I read that you can dremmel a cut into the plug, and use a flat chisel and hammer to get it out. I am going to use this method. Just wanted to see if anyone had any tips or advice. Should I ride the bike for a little so its warm and therefore easier to remove? Tips, advice, and help would be appreciated. I didn't really find any threads on this so hopefully this will help someone in the future.

High usage part that screams out to all who see it that this is one serious racing engine. Made from high grade aluminum, anodized for a lasting finish and finally topped off with laser etched Yoshimura logos.

Very like the ease to innitiate to this bike. Good suspension setup, nice handling but a little lack in power. I upgrade it throught the years with this : Suspension : Stiffer .46kg/mm Factory Connection fork springs, Factory Connection lowering link, thicker FF5 Factory Connection oil in the HSSD. So the bike is now more stable without sacrifying is handling Engine : C4MX ported cylinder head, Pro Circuit camshaft and complete valvetrain, Yoshimura RS4 full exhaust, Moto Tassinari Air4orce, TUF 43mm Throttle body insert, EBC HD clutch spring, Twin air filters, PC racing Pro seal, removed backfire screen with a remaped ECM by Eddie Sisneros. I have now a better response, strong power everywhere with a lot of overrev. Control : Renthal twinwall handlebar, Zeta rubber killer, Zeta fold back lever, Motion pro revolver throttle system, Motion pro grips, Tusk footpegs. Drive : DID VT2 Xring chain, Supersprox stealth 48 teeth rear sprocket, Supersprox 13 teeth front sprocket, Zeta axle blocs. Body : Custom plastics mix, Custom graphic kit, Factory FX B4 seat cover, Cycra full armor skid plate, Work connection Holeshot device, Work connection Radiators braces, Black rims, Red anodized look hubs, Michelin tire, Moose spokes set, Zeta, breather, clips, plugs, washer and cap. With all this upgrade the bike became a real beast on the track.
  9. I'm sure it's been covered before but does anybody know what size the plugs are? Same as XRL? I think the sizes are 10 and 12mm? Bored at work and looking for some cheap goodies 🙂

Purchased for $2500 this spring and replaced piston and rings and new Kibblewhite SS valves. It already had all of the usual modifications done ..JD Jetting, 4x4 airbox, pipe mod, Rekluse clutch. Added lowering link and Maxxis Tires. <br />Absolutely love this bike in the tight single track I ride in Eastern Oregon.
