Pics are from before I put any aftermarket parts on. Suspension is amazing and has great rebound no problems there. Engine runs really well and has no problem getting over jumps and around berms fast enough. A lot of power in the middle to top but you also get that pop up in the low end. Aftermarket part setup: Titanium Procircuit valves and springs, Weisco Elite Pistion, FMF 4.1 RCT Blue Anodized with FMf Titanium Megabomb Plus header, Hinson BTL Slipper Clutch, Boyessen Supercooler, Cycra Plastic Kit, a lot of other stuff

Requires both a Base Unit and a Main Spring. The Base Unit contains the special Race Mounting Hardware and the NPL (no preload) Spring. The Eibach Main Spring must be purchased separately (see www.racetech.com for recommendations of Rate and Series). Purchase a 700 Series Eibach Main Spring (only exception is for Yamaha YFZ450, which requires an 800 Series Eibach Main Spring). If you purchase Race Series on the front you must use Race Series on the back as well

Just picked this up for my daughter. She loves it

Actually a 2009 model. Not a bad machine. Bad bits; radiators are easy to damage, even with 'gaurds'. Suspension is pretty average, stock. Suspension linkage needs greasing more than average due to a bad seal design. A bit heavy, and not real nimble. Good bits; Tons of power, easy to work on. E-start (plus kick) I don't mean to make it sound bad, it's a pretty decent bike, a few small mods and some different tires (pirelli's instead of michelin) and it's starting to work well now. I'm happy with it. With gold valves fitted front and rear, cutting the bars down a bit and setting the front springs a couple of grooves softer, it's turning much better now and doesn't feel quite so big and clumsy. Just need to sort the rider out now 🙄

Great bike! Tons of power! Suspension is great. Will need heavier spring rate if you are a larger rider. Experiment with gearing for better feel. GYTR tuner is a great investment. Love it!!

  8. Thanksgiving week marks the final major AMA Amateur National of the year, and Race Tech's family of RT Rippers put on an impressive showing of podiums and championships all week long in both Supercross and Motocross. Check out the action with Race Tech riders Tanner Stack, Diesel Thomas, Caleb Carter, Hunter Schlosser, Matt Burkeen, Gavin Towers, Devin Simonson and Luke Purther.
  9. Hey TTalk Suspension Gurus- I know a lot of the awesome crowd here at TTalk are into suspension tuning, and even more want to get into it. Twice a year, Race Tech's founder and author of the Motorcycle Suspension Bible, Paul Thede hosts a week long series of classes teaching the ins and outs of motorcycle suspension. Many of the top tuners got their start learning from Paul, and the classes are tailored to start from the ground up for the new tuner while still providing necessary and up to date info for the experienced tuners. Everyone from minibike dads, race team technicians, to the OEM engineers are often found in these classes. Also, stay tuned to TTalk in the coming weeks as we're working on putting together some details for a giveaway to the loyal TTalk visitors. We appreciate your passion for suspension tuning and are excited to have a lucky forum member join us for the seminars. The nuts and bolts: November 1-2: Suspension Theory Class November 3-4: Shop Skills Class November 5: Trackside Testing Class November 6-7: Advanced Suspension Class More details on each class, pricing, travel info and more can be found here. If you have more questions, feel free to post them here. If you want to sign up or ask questions privately, you may shoot me an email to chris@racetech.com or give our sales staff a call at 951.279.6655. *disclaimer: Sorry if this is a bit spammy - I try to limit posts like this, but felt there would be a lot of members here who would be excited and want to take advantage of this. Hopefully many of you will be excited for the upcoming contest and won't flame me too badly haha!
  10. Race Tech has just a launched a Fork Low Speed Compression Control Kit to improve low speed compression damping on the WP 4CS forks. In stock form, Race Tech has found the WP 4CS forks are a bit too loose (or a mushy feel). The Low Speed Control Kit provides a firm, but not harsh feel while allowing damping to be soft enough to absorb roughness. The 4CS Fork Compression Performance Kit blocks off two bleed holes, one at the compression base and the other in the seal head at the top. Each kit also includes an installation tool. Tuners love this kit because it provides excellent low speed control. This kit works best with RT Adjustable Compression Bases that now include an LSV (Low Speed Valve). When the Race Tech Fork Low Speed Control Kit for WP 4CS forks is combined with Compression and Rebound Gold Valves and a personalized valving setup, the result is a plush feeling suspension with increased bottoming resistance. RETAIL PRICE: $79.99 PART NUMBER: FCPK 01 For more information about Race Tech’s products, seminars and rider support program, please visit racetech.com or call our friendly sales staff at: (951)279-6655. 11. So I am going to buy new rear setup, but I heard Racetech offeres discounts to TT members, any truth to this?!?! That 750.00 is a tough pill to swallow considering I have alreadt dropped considerable cash on the motor and forks. Also, are there any alternatives to them besides Y.S.S shocks?
  12. Hi everyone. I have a 2006 crf450r and I really want to know if race tech suspension and a steering stabilizer is worth putting on. I'm a desert racer.
  13. I recently did a race tech spring conversion on WP AER forks for a snow bike. Race tech's highest spring rate is a 1.08kg but is still way to soft. Does anyone know where to find a (44x43x657 dims) fork spring with a higher spring rate? Say a 1.36kg roughly.
  14. Been a member on here for while, but never really posted much. I don't really get much time to get on the forums anymore even just to read, but I wanted to share the project I am currently working on. It's been going on for a bit now so I am going to post up some older pics. My phone died and I lost the pics so I had to snag some off my instagram so they may not be the best. I bought this 2008 KX250F off a semi pro racer probably 2 years ago and it sat as I didn't have the time to work on it along with other stuff I was working on. When I bought it, it didn't run, but in general was in good shape. The guy I bought it from was about 150lbs and I am 190 so It definitely needed more than a valve job for me to use. I always had basket case bikes that I bought cheap and fixed just enough to ride and then would end up selling them as I don't have much place to ride. Now I have more places to ride I decided I wanted a nice bike set up for myself and built how I want it from the ground up. So here we go: This is when I picked up the bike: Started breaking the bike down: The reason why the bike doesn't run: Moved the bike from my house to a garage I set up to work in: And took it apart more:
