Power To Spare The 300 2-stroke is the perfect crossover tool. New valve timing provides even more smoothness as the horsepower builds. This big power is delivered with perfect progression, guaranteeing maximum adhesion, synonymous with efficiency at the foot of the steepest slopes. The weight of the bike is very light considering the fact that it is equipped with a modern electric starting system; it is no heavier than a kick start system. Deemed excellent by the franchise users, Sherco has further improved the bike this year so that it is even more suited to performing well in the extreme enduro events. The new clutch is even more durable and the gearbox has been strengthened. In the “soft” position, the new ignition settings and valve functions make extreme maneuvers manageable for every rider, no matter what their skill level is. Highlights Bold new graphics KYB suspension front and rear Increased chassis flex for less impact transfer to hands Improved handlebar position and 400 gram weight savings 90 gram lighter Neken triple clamps Stronger rear hub on Excel rims Stronger rear fender and increased fastener size More powerful regulator with increases cooling efficiency 10mm larger radiators with new water lines Wiring harness re-routed for improved flexibility and protection New FMF expansion chamber with upgraded routing for less exposure Controllable Power In addition to the smooth, linear power delivery of all Sherco engines, every Sherco motorcycle features an ignition map switch. With a flick of your thumb, you can hot-select between the “Hard” or “Soft” modes which reduce power by five horsepower on the 250/300 four strokes and seven on the 250/300 two-strokes and 450 four strokes. You have exactly the right amount of power for perfect traction in all riding conditions. Excellent Suspension Racing edition models sport fantastic WP open cartridge forks which work in perfect unison with our chassis. Trials inspired frame geometry reduces leverage on the suspension components which prevents binding and ensures excellent action every time. It also eliminates the need for closed cartridge forks, at any speed. Perfect Fueling The highly refined EFI mapping on our fuel injected 4-stroke models not only provides exceptional fuel economy; it creates smooth linear power at any altitude or temperature. The combination of Keihin carburetor and VForce 4 reed valve system on our 2-stroke models ensure an easy to tune, highly reliable fueling system. Crisp, clean jetting from bottom to top – all the time. No aftermarket products required. Low Center of Gravity Sherco motorcycles are famous for being the best handling enduro bikes on the market. What makes them handle so well? The perfect balance of chassis geometry, suspension and low center of gravity. Sherco engineers design every component to sit as low as possible within the motorcycle – including the battery located at the bottom of the air box. Amazing Stopping Power Sherco bikes are fast which is why they have the best brakes in the industry. Front and rear, the Brembo brakes are powerful, crisp and precise in all riding conditions. Introduced into the Sherco lineup in 2015, the 450 is the latest in a line of enduro machines specifically designed for enduro riders. The semi-perimeter frame, as is the case throughout the range, is a welded configuration made from chrome molybdenum steel. The latest generation engine is compact and very powerful. It is equipped with a Synerject injection system that was specifically developed by Sherco. It is a high-tech system that allows for very precise fuel and air distribution, combining liveliness and escalation … The secret to its effectiveness as an enduro machine was seen on the slopes of the Dakar! I getting to the point where I need to replace the crank in my ‘89 Cr250. I cannot find one for that year. Are there any that will work? I saw something about a 92-01 crank but didn’t go into details.

Sherco4Stroke ‘17 450 SEF-R (Racing) Skid Plate
David Ian Deakle posted a topic in Sherco Four Strokes
Hey folks! So I just picked up a 2017 Sherco 450 SEF-R, the racing version (as opposed to factory). Only has 700 some odd hours on it. Super stoked on it and got a great deal. Original owner seems to have misplaced the skid plate though and I’m having trouble locating anybody who makes one for this specific model. So, my question(s) to you all are: 1. Do any of you all know of anyone who makes a skid plate for this particular model? or 2. Do y’all think it would be functional/a decent idea to just get a skid plate that I think would be close and just drill my own holes to mount it? Thanks for any input! -

Like all Sherco models, the 250 SE 2-stroke benefits from the latest technology and it is also equipped with an electric starter. The valve openings are electronically controlled and are a function of the ignition curve which provides perfect throttle response.
