Hi all: Just a quick confirmation question (after an hour sorting through various responses and charts via TT forums because this topic has been beaten to death - and interpreted 72-ways depending on users - over the years. Last year I went down from 225-lbs to 175-lbs due to some medical things; but the weight stayed off without any real changes in my behavior or diet the last 12 months, so I'm now committing to some changes due to lowered mass (like softening up the suspension on my 06 DRZ400s a bit; I had it screwed down pretty tight for the former weight). Now, on to gearing... I have the stock 15/44 set still on at 13k miles and the bike will now propel me well past 90mph on the highway easily (airbox mod and JD kit installed as well - no exhaust change though as I'm an audio engineer and kinda need my ears to work when I get to work). I don't need the temptation to run over 90mph in the first place; and some of the methods of paving highways around here result in my newer - and balanced - Shinko 244 up front developing a tiny bit of "wavy-ness" over 85mph that is a bit unnerving (I'm 51, grown kids, arthritis, and long past the days of running Enduro stuff wide-open across deserts). Another change with the weight thing is that, when idling around town now, first gear is simply to steep for pacing stop-N-go traffic stuff on busy days. So (with apologies for the novel above) - is the 14/47 combo still considered the next incremental step for bit more torque at bottom and somewhat lower overall speeds without wrecking mpg? I average around 45-47mph mostly running around town, some interstates, and less and less and less dirt roads, trails, and fields as the arthritis gets worse. Thanks all. -D

I have a 2001 yz250f and want to get mpre torque out of my bike and i have the stock sprockets on right now. Wanted to know how much i should go up?

Hey guys, does anyone know what's causing my chain to jump around the sprocket? Is it the wrong chain or?

Anyone have a 2021 KX250 they can check for me? I installed new chain and sprocket and noticed the lower chain guide does not line up with the sprocket. The chain runs to the outside of it. When I spin the wheel backwards the master link makes a noticeable clink when it goes through. I rode it 2.2 hours on the stock setup and I can see where the outside part of the guide is wearing the edge off. I put one tooth larger sprocket and added a link and moved the wheel back. Adjusters are even... Looks to me like Kawasaki mounts are off. If someone could look at there's and check that be cool. I bent it out a little for now
