    Stabilizer mount

Hi all, I'm considering the Scotts or gpr steering Stabilizer for my 02 yz250 that currently has 06 450f sss suspension. Is there a trick to getting either one to mount correctly since it has newer suspension? Just checking before I pull the trigger on an expensive purchase. Thanks!

    Scott's damper ..

Has anyone checked to see if the older mounts work on the newer frame? Close enough to make it work? I have one off my 09' wondering if it will fit on the 13'. Haven't had a chance to try it, figured I'd ask first.
  4. I have one I need to send off for work. Never had one before.. Besides the obvious advantages, seems like a waste of 500 bucks... Mine was free haha!
  5. Looking for some feedback from those of you with a stabilizer. I'm about 5'7"-5'8". Looking to get a GPR V4, but not sure if the sub mount will raise the bars too high. Also I run Flexx bars, so I don't know if the low pro GPR will fit under the crossbar on the over bar mount, or if I'll need to get the funky raised crossbar that Flexx offers for this setup. Any feedback and pics is much appreciated. Thanks

    California Steering stabilizer

Today was the first time in 3 months I used a stabilizer. I used it for about 15 miles of single track and my arms were pumped. I shut the stabilizer off and the arm pump went away. I can see how these gadgets can help in a sandy wash or sandy hill climb, but I'm not thinking they are needed for anything else. How do you use your stabilizer and it what conditions?

    Beta 300 RR (2015)

I told my wife I was buying a bike with everything I wanted on it when it's new, so I ordered this on Beta's BYOB at $12,000 total, in July '14 and received it Sept '14, a great deal for what's in the bike, I was surprised she was good with that. The bike has been reliable and has me riding faster than ever.
  8. Hi everyone. I have a 2006 crf450r and I really want to know if race tech suspension and a steering stabilizer is worth putting on. I'm a desert racer.

The Fastway Steering Stabilizer is probably the single greatest improvement to handling that you can make to your ATV, Motocross, Off-road, or Adventure motorcycle. Proven to reduce rider fatigue, headshake and high speed shimmy, the Fastway System 3 and System 5 will help stabilize the front end of your ATV, Motocross, Off-road, or Adventure motorcycle and let the entire suspension do its job while the rider experiences increased control, quicker lap times, and better handling.

    KTM 250 XCF-W (2008)

Great bike...went from DRZ400e to smaller but great woods bike. Even held its own at Glamis, Imperial sand dunes. Smooth power for offroad, and after air/fuel upgrades even smoother and more responsive. Easier to start too!

    Kawasaki KX250 (2006)

Plenty of power. Outdated suspension that feels uneasy and wild. Not confidence inspiring.

    Honda CRF450X (2005)

Fun bike. Lots of grunt. Definitely on the heavy side. But I think I just need more hours riding to get used to it.

Ride Engineering is the first company to offer a way to mount the Showa steering stabilizer onto another brand. This MX style stabilizer was originally developed by Ricky Carmichael in his days as a factory Honda rider. Today you will find one behind the front number plate of many top level national pros (this includes Ryan Dungey). Many GNCC/Enduro/Desert riders are also switching from the typical "Desert style" steering dampener to this less restrictive, easily installed device. This simple bolt-on bracket kit is available for all KTMs complete with mounting instructions (Upper and lower brackets included). Showa damper sold separately.
