Hello All, I'm new to TT, but I've been referencing and reading posts for a few years. I really like the expertise and community on this site and thought it was time to join in. So I am looking at a Husky TE310 and a Yama TTR230. I am looking at getting back into riding. I know Yamas are great and reliable bikes, that's what I've bought for both my sons; however, I am not very familiar with Husqvarna. I am mostly concerned with reliability, maintenance issues, and quality. Any insights into the build and quality of Husky? I am not a technical rider, just like to go burn with my brothers and sons. We mostly ride trails, dirt, and desert. Up to this point I've just been using extra bikes, but I'd like to purchase one now so I don't have to borrow any longer. Any feedback on these two models would be helpful. Thanks, Utah Danite

Hey guys so recently a guy in my area offered me to trade my 05 yamaha wr250f for his 13 Te310, which I was a little confused by because of the massive difference in value, years, etc of the 2 bikes for a straight up trade. I figured there’s gotta be something wrong with his bike for him to think that’s a fair trade, or hey maybe he’s just dumb. Turns out he said “the thermostat casing is cracked so it leaks a little bit.” I’m assuming he’s talking about coolant leaking? Anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone who’s owned a ‘13 TE310 has had this issue he described and how bad/expensive it was to fix. Or any other common problems i should be looking for/asking about on the 310? I owned a KTM a few years back but i’m pretty new to huskys so any info/advice is greatly appreciated. I attached some pics so you guys could get a good look and see if you think it’s a good looking bike or not! Thanks fellas

Great bike, it had some problems when I bought it, but none of them were problems with the bike model, just a couple of dodgy fixes by the the previous owner. It is tall, and me being 5’8” means that this is about the tallest bike that I could reasonably handle but I have gotten much more comfortable on the bike. Surprisingly, I’ve found that by sitting on it in the garage, balancing the bike on my toes whenever I can has strongly decreased my discomfort/fear of it being too tall which is nice when I can’t get out to ride much. Anyways, back to the bike, it seems kind of loud to me, especially for a dual sport with the stock exhaust. I do know that an OEM dB killer exists for this bike, but they are really hard to find and the prices have become unreasonable. If anybody has a good solution to that, or a dB killer they could spare, please let me know. -

Thinking about buying one saw one on craigslist for 4750 with 380 miles. It's street legal to. I was orignally looking at a klx 250s 2014 but the husky really got my attention. My question is it worth it? Are huskys hard to maintain and find parts? I'm generally a new rider only thing i've ridden was the 125cc chinese pitbikes. So ik it will be a huge step up. I just wanna know is it better going with husky or one of the JAP brands. Help me out please and thank you

I have a 2011 TE 310 Dual Sport. Bought it last year used. Excellent bike. Love it.. BUT: is 2011 pre KTM where if something breaks I'm not going to be able to get parts?? I already can't get a starter for it.. It kicks easy but what if it's some engine issue?? Sell it while it's perfect?? Please advise. -
Please post pics only. Try to list the year and model as well as what mods you have! All other posts will be deleted so it doesn't get out of hand. PM the poster for more info or create a post. These threads seem to be strong in the 250r and the 250x boards for the Hondas and I know people like to show off their bikes, so let's see what you've got. I searched and there doesn't seem to be a Husqvarna overall picture thread. Try to list the year and model as well as what mods you have!
