  5. i am very new to this but i’ve done so much online searching for parts and done a ton of reading on forums. i would like some help here i need a slave cylinder rebuild kit from george at uptite. i have no idea how to contact him and if he still even had parts for my 07 TE450. Any help on how to contact george would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Hey guys, I have 07 te450 I bought new back in 07, I rode it for sparingly to say the least it only has 800 miles. I'm getting ready to sell it now and I have no idea what these are worth. I know it was the last year te with carburetor which some people prefer and it has low miles like I said. What should I ask?
  7. Update: Is there any other models from wich the linkage fits? i have heard that KTM´s may fit? more pictures added of my linkage. My rear suspension linkage just blew apart on the engine side and it resulted in a broken shock piston. i ordered a new shock from same model "2008" and linkage with berings, but the guy only has a linkage from TE450 2005 model. will this fit my bike? i have searched all over the internet and forum and can´t find any anwsers. and he is waiting for my shipping conformation.

suits the bill for me. An occasional blast in the weekend, and a handfull of long offroad trips per year. only thing needed was a Clark tank.

  14. Hello all, I normally just sit back and read on to try to solve my problems but this one is getting out of hand. I recently purchased a 2009 TE510 (EFI incase anyone asks) with only 2289 miles on it. It rode fine for short while but I when I give it any more than %75the bike starts cutting out. One day I was coming home from work (I tried to avoid freeways to avoid the problem) the bike was still running rough on the street, the bike died 3 times and it was awfully difficult to get it running again. The gas light was on the whole time I was trying to get it running again, I then though "Oh silly me I just ran out of gas". I managed to limp it to a gas station and filled up the tank. Which was almost halfway full when I had gotten there, I filled her up all the way. Tried to start it, pump is priming, nothing. Gas light is still on. The was a auto shop at this gas station and one of the workers there saw me struggling and even tried to help. He let me borrow some tools (as to not charge me for labor) and i took off the tank and hooked up a fuel pressure tester. Bike started, I revved it out on neutral and it read roughly 47 psi, I somewhat put the bike together and went for a ride, didnt go too fast because I didn't put the seat back on. But the fuel pressure was still at 47psi. So I'm guessing the pump is not the problem but I could be wrong. The bike will start only when it wants to, but it will absolutely not start unless I give it a little throttle. I've heard people complain about these bikes' gas light not turning, well all mine does is be on. When the bike won't start the gas light is always on, but when it finally starts the light turns off. Ive already replaced the battery, spark plug, fuel filter. It could be a clogged injector but I think it's unlikely. I also noticed a small crack on the rubber shaft between the throttle body and the engine, could this be causing a vacuum leak and possibly be leaning out the mixture? If anyone has any ideas or something similar has happened to them and know how to fix it, I would appreciate extremely much. Below are a picture of the old spark plug and the crack on the rubber shaft:

Nice, reliable on/off road bike built in Italy by MV Agusta. Over 500 hours on the engine now, and still going strong.

  21. Looking into buying my first dirt bike, street legal. I am looking to commute some (no highway speeds) along with hitting the trails every now and then. I've come across a Husqvarna 2011 TE 450 with 2600 miles, asking for $4k. The other bike I came across was a 2002 CRF 450R, with new top and bottom end which has 10 hours on it. He's asking for around $3.5k but including a little trailer for it and some MX stuff. Both bikes are street legal & plated. Not sure what would serve better as I am fairly new in this field. Which one would be better?
