  12. Hello Fellow Thumpers!! Heres the situation..... Basically, I have the amazing opportunity to build a Motox part/Track somewhere around Cookeville TN, Which has always been a dream of mine as a Mx fanatic!!! Being from England I have Little to no idea about the motocross scene in Tennessee and what you American Dudes enjoy about your favourite MX tracks and what you don't , and most importantly what sort of track to design and build that everyone would enjoy! other small minor things such as.... if there is a big enough market to invest lots of effort into this massive But possibly rewarding dream. unfortunately I have to be Adult about the situation my do my research. So I'm looking for your Knowledge help and enthusiasm, and if you local to Cookeville.....BONUS. Any info from how big or small the Motocross community is there, to track ideas and riders expectations of a sick track! English Josh.
  13. Who is going. This is shaping up to be a great event. I am on row 14A.
  14. All, I'm trying to locate a good place to take the family riding in Kentucky/Tennessee. I've got 3 boys, 11,12, and 14. They've all been riding for ~1 year, I'd put them at begginner - they've all got things pretty well down but haven't ridden in really hilly areas / jumps / etc. I'd put myself at intermediate+. We'll be trailing the bikes behind our RV so the ideal place would have full hookup camping nearby. I've looked at Coal Creek, Hatfield McCoy and a few others but at hoping someone here can give me a recommendation. Key thing is to make it fun (smaller hills, small jumps, some flat areas) for the kids but don't want to get in over our heads. We're looking to go in late March and will be heading down from the Chicago area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  16. Posted Today, 10:51 AM #1 Hey guys, I moved to maryville, Tennessee a year ago and have decided to try and find someone to ride with. I'm running a 94 RM250 on mostly single track. I haven't tried motocross track yet. I consider myself a novice, but I feel I'm getting faster with each ride. I've found some good trails to ride, but i'm scared of running off these steep hillsides and no one knowing it. My wife has been real supportive in how she will ride the 3wheeler for awhile, but mostly sits in the truck and patiently waits till I'm done, ready to come looking for me if m gone too long. I'm 37 years old, have ridden 2 harescrambles since I've gotten my bike running and have found out I'm addicted to this sport. So.......let me know

    east TN

Anyone know a good mechanic in east TN.I have an 04 yz250f that seized up.I think a former mechanic forgot to put oil in it. He is denying of course but first ride since he messed with it I got a mile down the trail and it locked up. Was able to put it in neutral and push it. I'm thinking of Luke's racing for a 263 big bore kit if needed rebuild. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated ,Thanks
  20. I have been looking to get my suspension done for some time and trying to find someone local was difficult. I picked up one of Phillip's cards at Battle Creek MX and contacted him and we ran through everything. Phillip is a very nice guy and listens to what you want so you can get the best suspension possible. I dropped off my forks and shock along with the factory spring as Phillip made several recommendations based on trail, MX, and a hybrid setup. So I went with a hybrid setup w/ the factory rates because I do both trail and MX. Phillip has this awesome spring tester that he built and it is crazy accurate! It showed that the fork springs were actually stiffer than what Honda states. After a few days and several conversations later, my suspension was done. I picked it up and Phillip was nice enough to explain the many factors that go into your suspension, he even polished the fork sliders to like new! After bolting everything back together and setting the sag, the bike just feels great. Much more stable and tracks perfectly. I learned a lot about suspension tuning from Phillip so I am no longer in the dark when it comes to this black art haha. I am very happy I chose Sopro and highly recommend them! All I can say is if you are looking to get your suspension done, go to Sopro. I loved not having to ship my suspension off and Phillip offers a 90 warranty on his work. That is just awesome!
  21. Competition is always top notch at the RipXX Big Show Series... Normally we have a host of national caliber riders in most of the classes. So, if your training for Loretta's and want some track time with some really fast riders on a gnarly track... Fast Farms is the place to be this weekend! There are classes for everyone of all levels and the track was built to accommodate all levels of riders! The track is always prepped deep and loamy creating some great ruts and many, many lines to choose from everywhere on the track! Certainly one of the top tracks in the region! As always there will be door prizes! One of the bigger door prizes to be given away this week is a Go Pro along with several other items given by Sloans Cycle and a host of holeshot awards courtesy of Barber's Cycles!! Kasi Jo will have something fun going on for the entire family again including fun activities for the little ones as well as a half pipe for some of the older ones... so, if you skate or ride scooters on a half pipe... bring it for some added fun. Quads are welcome and we even have 2 different Youth Quad Classes! Our Youth quad riders rip to say the least! Directions, fees, times, etc... please visit www.midsouthraceproductions.com Thanks to our Series Sponsors: RipXX GPS Trainers, Barber's Cycle, Watson's Metals, Sloan's Cycle, No Toil & FMF
