This was a long journey. It started around easter 2018 when I found a "300ex with 250x plastics". Turned out to be a 250x someone had put a 300ex motor in. Bought it with no compression. Had to replace the valves, guides, camshaft, and regrind the valve seats cause some nut had the wrong valves in it. Got it running and I rode it occasionally, but I really wanted to find a 250x motor for it. Finally this June I found a 250x at a good deal cause it had "carburetor issues". it had 400ex plastics but I put the 250x plastics on it and replaced the seat cover. (I got a 250R seat cover because it looked more like the stock 250x seat cover, you can see that it doesn't fit quite right.) I love the way it looks. -

Could I make money off this bike? It has a missing head light and the front bumper is bent and the back breaks are locked up I can get it for 900 and I can fix that stuff how much could I get out of it tho?

Hello everyone, looking into 2 dirt bikes for me and my 14 yr old daughter. Right now I have a 2up can am atv I just listed for sale. This will be my daughter s first dirt bike so I was thinking of the Honda 100 what do you think? For me I've had numerous dirt bikes KTM and a Yamaha I thought they were a bit much for what I do. I just plan to trail ride and here in PA you barely break 30mph. I m 5 10 43yrs old and weight in at 145 and consider myself a novice on the dirt bike. The bikes I was looking at for myself were the Yamaha wr250f and the Honda 250x either one will be purchased new. Any thoughts would be great... Thank You

In California we have red sticker/green sticker laws, meaning to be able to ride year round at parks (carnegie, Hollister etc) you have to have a bike 2002 model or older. Unless you ride a wr or crf/x model. ( I ride a 250x) I know 4 strokes have changed a lot but are there differences in two strokes from over the years? I'm talking about Yzs and CRs mainly. Is it better to buy an older used smoker or a newer used smoker? Would a 2001-02 model in good shape be different than say a 2011/2013 model?
