I've had this old school warrior for about 13 years. It's now great fun for me to see my 8 year old son riding this thing!

Bought an old race quad and redid it. Ended up buying new plastics, so there are pics with it yellow, some red, and all red.

The hours in the odometer section are actually the number of hours I've spent working on this thing. Holy moly, this quad has been a pain.

Finally got her up to snuff though and she tears like a bat outta hell.

  10. Hello everyone, so today I was out riding some local woods (2-3 miles from my house) today with my friends. I was on my 400ex and 2 others were on utility quads. When we left we all split off in the directions of our own houses. Most roads were residential or country back roads. We were not ripping down highways or anything like that. After I was riding alone through my neighborhood, I looked behind me and saw a jeep tailgating me. I signaled a turn with my hand so he wouldn't slam into the back of me. He followed at the same close distance. Then I pulled into my driveway and looked as he was passing to see him with a phone out and pointed at me as if he were recording a video. Just looking for some advice here. I wasn't trying to cause any problems, was being respectful when riding through the neighborhood by going slow and keeping a higher gear so it was not as loud. I'm just confused why someone would take the time to stalk and record me? Thanks for any replies in advance
  11. I just got this quad and it won't start. It keeps blowing fuses.. I've tried all different size fuses and I looked for a shorted wire.. I couldn't find any. Should I look again or is there anything else I could do to make it start. I got a brand new battery and everything.
  12. Hi, I recently purchased a 2005 Honda 400ex. It has an HMF jet kit and slip on HMF exhaust. It needed carb work so I cleaned the carb, and reassembled it. After this is ran great. The next morning I went out and realized the air box was flooded with gas and oil so I drained everything out. Some of my buddies to me to get a carb rebuild kit so I did and rebuilt it. I then changed the oil and cleaned the spark plug and it ran great. It runs well when the motor is cool but after it gets slightly heated up it begins cutting out at higher RPMs. The overflow tubes from the carb also leak gas for awhile after every time I drive it. Any suggestions? Should I Re-Jet it back to stock? New spark plug? Take it to dealer? I am new to all of this so any help appreciated, thanks.

My quad that I have owned. Not the first I have rode though. I do wish it had reverse but for the price I payed and how cheap parts are for it I am overall happy.

Runs great. Bored it and replaced the piston. Runs like a top now and super cheap to work on. Only bored it due to engine damage, did not add much power.

Excellent power and good handling. Just an absolute blast to ride. Good for adult beginners and also seasoned riders just looking for a fun trail machine. Maintenance is simple and quick for those that are not used to maintaining a race machine.

  21. I’ve been looking all over the internet for some mud shark tires for my 400ex and they all say out of stock. Anyone know where I can get these tires? I found a similar one on Amazon. Linked below. I added an image below of the mud shark tires I’m looking for. Thanks in advance for your help.
