Basically everything you would ever want minus a kick-starter. Darn US models.

    TTR 250 Exhaust mods.

After re-building my TTR 250 the exhaust seemed the only thing letting it down, I could have bought an aftermarket endcan but as I am in the sheetmetal / fabrication business I thought I would have a go myself. I trawled the net for details of what other people had done, cut up the end can and came up with the following solution. I have a fully equiped workshop but, using only basic tools the step by step photo's as a guide I think most people could manage it. Great if you're a new rider, incredibly smooth and not hard to handle. But for more experienced riders, it isn't the best bike in the world. Feels heavier than it really is, very stable, but hard to throw around. Predictable power, no real surprises.

I live in the UK and the TTR250 is perfect for trail riding with its comfy seat, reliable 4-stroke engine, easy maintenance and "go anywhere" mentality. Most spares are available next day and the TTR is a very easy bike to work on.

    Want new bars 2002 ttr250

Hi I bent my bars and was wondering if there were any good after market ones rather than just getting new stock ones. I'm having trouble finding a list of bars that will fit it. Everything is stock on the bike so they have to fit the same clamps. If you could get a link to a site that sells bars that will fit or know some good bars that would be great. I'm about 5'10 but like a bit wider bars and i mostly ride technical rocky and hilly stuff. I just dont want to buy bars that wont fit.

  18. I am looking to buy this bike but I am not sure if it is a good thing to have had the engine rebuilt in the past. It's a 2002 Yamaha TTR 250.

I bought the bike from a guy who never rode because the seat height was too high for him. It was mint and only 3 years old at the time for only 3000$. It was a great learner bike for me and now I keep it for my friends to use who don't have bikes. It is a very low maintenance bike so it serves it purpose well. Id also like to add that it has surprisingly good power for an air cooled bike. (will add pics soon)
