    Suzuki RM250 (2005)


    What can i say but perfection this bike is just anything and everything a rider could want, easy turning, heaps of torque and once it hits band just raw power and even now looks modern. I wouldnt trade this for anything in the world and if i ever have to let it go a little bit of me will die inside.

    DETAILS Most stock heads have a poor design and very large squish clearance. We setup your head for correct squish clearance and compression for our fuels. Can be tailored to your needs… improves bottom end, midrange and top end, dramatically reduces risk of detonation, stabilises jetting, can improve fuel economy. Involves checking volume, design new profile on computer, machine on lathe or CNC mill, polish and check final volume. This mod is the first thing you should do if you want more from your engine and is easily the best bang for your buck mod for most two strokes.

    2 Stroke Maintenance?

    Hey ya'll, I'm buying a yz 125 this spring and had a few questions. 1) What ratio for Oil:Gas works best for trail riding? I'm thinking a 32:1 2) Anyone have tips on how to keep their carburetor and motor spic and span in order to prevent bogging? I came across a video of a lad that mentioned he leaks the carburetor after every ride if there is still gas sitting in his tank. His explanation seemed logically sound: "When mixed gas used for 2 stroke engines sits for too long it somewhat ferments and cause serious bogging issues to the carburetor". 3) I'm 6'2 190 lbs, anyone else with a relative build to mine have any tips on their suspension set up?

    2002 cr250r engine swap?

    i have a 2002 cr250. i just took the engine out and found out that i have cracks going all through my crancases and have been on the look for a cheap replacment engine. ive found a 2003 cr250r engine that has a bad crank and i was wondering if it would be possible to swap the engines, like what would i need to change in the wiring?, will my crank fit fine in it?, does the 2003 engine have the same mounts as the 2002 frame? any impute will help!   6. 'Allo! It's time to have a 2 stroke in the garage. I've got a great KTM EXC500 and rip around in the trails when I can, but it's high time that I had a Kawasaki 2 stroke. I've loved KXs all my life and if I'm going to try the track I want to do it on a KX250. Never been on a 2 stroke and never been on a track. That changes in 2017. Team Green has always been a favorite and I'm stoked to get going on a KX. I'm in process of procuring a bike and the 2001 and 2002 are the years I like... Actually 1999 to 2002 are the years I like but the 2001 and 2002 suit my size. Let this first post be the start of the KX250 rebuild and I'll figure out how to upload pics to document progress. My target is to have this bike complete by end of March 2017. That's about 5 months so should be enough time to get my beastie completed. I have a VMAX called WarHammer and my KX will be THOR. Nothing like a little Norse mythology to brand your motos.

    2001 RM250 cylinder scores!

    Hey guys, First time poster on Thumpertalk, thought id give it a go and see what you guys have to say since I'm fairly new to engine work. Anyways - I'm rebuilding my 2001 rm 250's top end and when i pulled off the top end from the bike i noticed some score marks along the side of the cylinder and on the piston. On the piston side the scores were pretty bad, you could easily feel it let alone see it. But on the cylinder side it really wasn't terrible. More visual than anything you could feel - maybe one small mark that i could feel and that's about it. Ill post some pictures in a couple of hours but basically I'm just curious as to whether you guys think that a simple hone will fix it up or am i in for a big bill? I live 10 mins away from Bondi engines in Ontario so i lucked out there. Likely going to see what they can do for me on Monday after work. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
  8. Hi guys, First of all I am new here and very new to the dirt bike scene hence this last minute question. I own a 2011 YZ450F and I am going riding with some friends this weekend in Taylor park Colorado. My bike will be fine seeing as thought it has fuel injection. My other 2 friends, one has a 2006 KX250F and the other fried has a 2001 YZ250 2 stroke. We are all pretty new to this but do enjoy having some fun once in a while. So about a year ago I took the one friends yz250 with my other friends kx250F to Taylor park which altitude is about 7500 - 10000ft and the bikes ran like crap!. The 2 stroke ran better than the 4 stroke but both bogged and had almost no power at all. We are getting ready to again and I was honestly hoping someone could tell me what jets we would need for these two bikes at this altitude? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
