1. So I just finished my 100 hour valve check and everything was spot on. I have read in some old threads about people changing to SS after 100+ hours. I always check my air filter and clean often. So my ? is should I start to keep a closer eye on them now that I'm @ 100+ hours? ON my trx 450 (basically same motor) I had SS valves installed and they never moved in 5 years. I'm not really familiar with Ti valves cause I took mine out a year after buying it and they were still ok. I do plan to send my head out for some porting and valve work but not till these valves go.

Most of us would rather ride than wrench, but with the Hot Cams Valve Shim Kit you can at least get your valve adjustments done quickly and accurately while saving some money. This Valve Shim Kit from Hot Cams will save you from unnecessary trips to the store or ordering incorrect shim sizes since you’ll have all the shims you need on hand for pretty much any clearance. These shims are precisely manufactured with the exact diameter for your machine and are sized in convenient increments for a total of 47 different sizes of shim. 3 shims are included for each size and are organized in a compartmentalized plastic container to keep all of your 141 total shims together.

Pics are from before I put any aftermarket parts on. Suspension is amazing and has great rebound no problems there. Engine runs really well and has no problem getting over jumps and around berms fast enough. A lot of power in the middle to top but you also get that pop up in the low end. Aftermarket part setup: Titanium Procircuit valves and springs, Weisco Elite Pistion, FMF 4.1 RCT Blue Anodized with FMf Titanium Megabomb Plus header, Hinson BTL Slipper Clutch, Boyessen Supercooler, Cycra Plastic Kit, a lot of other stuff

Great bike monster power delivery after you install stage 1HotCams setup both camshafts exhaust and intake starts first are second kick rode new 2015 450 and believe they both have same amount of horsepower but power delivery is a little different on the both the only downfall is the yz426F is a bit on the heavy side and bike sets way to high unless you're 6ft are taller but besides some down falls its a pretty indestructible bike for being a 2002 model perfect for motocross are a good in the woods trial bike you either love the bike are hate the bike for me its a great all around motocross machine but really wish it set lower to the ground that's the only downfall that I hate the most of the Yz426F so im finished talking about the 2002 Yamaha yz426F im out peace sincerely Andrew Schmeerbauch. 6/18/2015

Exhaust valves bear the brunt of increased temperatures and stress but are popular choices due to their high tulip design Greatly improved with Inconel, a super alloy high-nickel material, which retains its mechanical properties at higher temperatures than the most extreme duty exhaust valves available in the past

Save yourself thousands in costly repairs! The ThumperTalk Manual Cam Chain Tensioner (MCCT) is designed to replace the automatic and hydraulic tensioners found on today's hi-performance 4-stroke engines. Factory automatic adjusters can back out when the throttle is suddenly closed at higher rpms. This allows the cams to momentarily go out of time and can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage! Hydraulic tensioners have a tendency to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm/high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature cam chain wear. Installation of a ThumperTalk Manual Cam Chain Tensioner will allow you to maintain the proper, constant cam chain tension necessary for reliable hi-performance riding and it will not backout. This is a high quality product, proudly made in the USA. There are thousands of these units in service, so buy in confidence! Precision machined billet aluminum body Oring seals, both on the body and threads Stainless steel adjuster bolt & locknut Clear anodized body for long lasting good looks

Bought an old race quad and redid it. Ended up buying new plastics, so there are pics with it yellow, some red, and all red.

Its a 10 year old motocross bike, with very low hours. Perfect for an Enduro conversion. This bike astounds me. One day I'm riding MX on a track, the next I'm riding in the desert on single track. Its unstoppable, and just so easy and forgiving. I love this bike.
