  1. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran AMAZING after it first bought it used and was in beautiful condition and I picked it up for only 2500. I was riding when all of a sudden it started bogging down right before the power band.i don’t think it’s jetting because the bogging just turned on like a switch and it was running perfect before it. The bike was like that for a month. Apparently the previous owner never oiled the filter so it was dry as a rock and was falling apart and got sucked into to the intake so I’m guessing my power valve is gummed up or stuck close or open. I was riding one day with the bog issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb,checked the reeds,and tried hill starting it but nothing. When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies.I don’t remember if I left the fuel petcock on but what I’m guessing is that I flooded the engine and tried starting which messed up my electronics.The reason why I think I flooded the Engine is because when I took off the reeds the intake manifold and reed were soaked in gas.I heard that starting the engine while flooded can mess with a woodruff key or your CDI or something. There is spark coming from the plug though.And yes I mix the gas with oil at 32:1 cause I’m in the pipe all the time.This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.
  2. My father and I purchased the 225 from our family friend. He thought it was just a carb issue but when my friend and I cleaned it and adjusted the Float. Still it would turnover run for a second then die. When bump starting it much of the same. We have tried testing spark, Air, Fuel, Compression. But it still won't idle and tips or ideas.

Hey, I recently bought my friends 2011 KX250F (efi) because it won’t rev up past around 1/2 throttle without bogging while its under load, he couldn’t figure it out, even a small engine mechanic couldn’t figure it out. I’m just wondering if someone else has had this problem with the same bikes and what the problem was. Thanks!
  4. Hello guys and girls, My 2019 yz250f with 120 hours got a very ignoring problem. It starts bogging out at low rpm really bad. Twist the throttle wide open and the bike just make a lot of noise but goes absolutely nowhere. ( Like a old carb bike) If I'm running a mapping with a slower hit is does not bogging as bad compare to a hard hitting map. From mid range rpm and up it runs like a champ. I checked fuel pressure, spark pluck, valves and compression and it all look very good. I believe it's a electric problem but don't know where to start. Any idea what would cause this?   5. Crf 250 2019 bogging out and die when you apply full throttle quick. If you leave it for 5min you can start it up again run for 5min and apply full throttle she judy dies. Ive changed the fuel filter. Can someone advise me what else i can do.
  6. New to thumpertalk! I recently got back into riding and picked up a 2012 Suzuki RMz250 (one bad mofo) and love it but ran into a snag. It was running great on my last ride when all the sudden it bogged out, after then the kick start was seized and I couldn’t get the bike to start. My uncle said it could either be the piston rings and I’ll just need a top end rebuild or it’s a dropped valve but would either of those cause the kick start to seize?? I plan on taking it apart sometime in the next week or so, if I have any time to that is, but I’m wondering what else it could possibly be or what to look/check for. Any help would be great!! By the way does anyone know where I can get a manual for this bike?

Hey y’all, this is my first time posting anything and I’ve done quite a bit of google searches already and found what I felt like was plenty of information but I can’t seem to resolve this issue. My kids have a couple of Automatic SSR 70’s but they are both having the same exact problem even though I’ve only tried adjustments to one of them. Every time you give them throttle (particularly full throttle) they bog down before speeding up and I’d say about 50% of the time they just cut off. I’ve cleaned the carb, verified the jets have no debris, checked the spark plug (looked like it was running rich), cleaned the air filter, adjusted the idle screw, adjusted the float, and adjusted the external mixture screw. The bikes are basically brand new and at one point the bike worked again for like an hour but went back to bogging. The carb is a 16mm Jing Ke and only has two internal jets (Main and Pilot) and one externally adjusted one that I think is the air mixture for the Pilot jet. Any thoughts or does anyone know what kind of adjustments I could make to the carburetor to fix this? Or maybe it’s not the carb at this point? Thanks in advance!
