I grew up in the northeast and Husqvarna was all I ever knew. Matter of fact, I'd never even heard of Echo until I settled out west. I was skeptical, but this Echo CS-355T has been a badass little saw for the weight. Plus it costs about half of what Stihl and Husky want for equivalent saws, so for a non-pro user, it feels like a great choice. Get the right chain on there, carry some cheap plastic wedges, and it always starts, always runs, always cuts. The top-handle is a bit off-putting at first as I feel like I don't have the leverage I want, but it's a trade-off for not knocking my teeth out on a standard handle when it's mounted on the bars. I have a spare 16" bar waiting to go on, but the 14" is good for about 80% of what we work. I have NOT succumbed to the temptation to hot-rod the saw, but that's out there once you get onto the various arborist websites and start reading. Looks like it's around $350 on the Echo website, but I got a screaming deal of around $300 on a new saw when Ebay had one of those blanket 15% off sales and I picked it up from a major retailer there. Recommends running on 50-1, so I use the same gas from the bike (Motul 800). I wish it had bigger dogs/teeth on the saw body, but I'm clearly using it outside what it was designed for. Ride with the kill/run/choke switch in the "off" position because it can otherwise get clogged with dirt. Selling a brand new Bill Dart custom saw rack for beta motorcycles. I purchased it and thought I could bolt it right on to my 2020 BETA 390-RRS but because of the headlight and the gauge cluster I would have to do some modifications to get it to work. Decided to go another route but for anyone with a BETA 2-stroke or off-road model 4 stroke this should bolt directly on.
