  1. I've run a 125cc Lifan engine on my pit bike for around a year now, and it has performed really well. I decided to wire some lights to the bike and I faced some problems. The engine came with all the electric components and wires required for ignition, and it also has a light coil in it from the factory so I thought wiring some lights should be easy. I made a very simple wiring for the headlight and the tail light (picture of the diagram attached) and I used a multimeter to check the connection between ground and the wire just after the regulator. Results were good, switch worked just as I thought. Then I installed the light system to the bikes wires. I read from somewhere that the red wire coming from regulator is a power wire (12V) and can be used for different components like lights. So I went on and connected the red wire from the regulator (which by the way had nothing else attached to it before) to the light system, powered the engine up and I got no light at all. I checked the voltage on the red wire while the bike was running, and it was around 6 volts. This surprised me as the regulator that came with the engine was supposed to be regulating the voltage to 12V. I have a couple questions: How many volts come directly from the yellow light coil wire? is the wiring on my light system wrong or is this all happening just because of the weird regulator? Many thanks!
  2. This guy has a 2003 xr50 for 400$ pretty good deal, but the forks are throwing me off since they're usually a different yellowish brown color. Also in the frame next to the forks there's like a little circle, what's that? I don't see those on the 2003 xr50's. what do I look for when I go see it?
  3. Does anyone have any experience with the replacement shocks on ebay for the pw80? Just want to make sure they all have dampening. I got a set for a small 4 wheeler and they had none whatsoever. The stock one on this old pw80 has lost all dampening. Just looking to get back to like stock without spending $130 for OEM Yamaha shock.
  4. Hey guys was looking at getting an Orion 150xl as a daily commuter for running around and work. Now I'm familiar with cars and bikes to an extent but never really had a dirt bike/Pitbike before. I drove a 750 mostly and that was a street bike. So question is will this bike be a good fit for me? I'm not sure what all is ok for 150cc bikes. This is air cooled with oil cooler and not sure if its ok to be running this thing at 9500 rpms for a sustained amount of time. My commute is not long about 20 miles but will have to go 55mph which on this bike will be around the 9500rpm mark. The bike redlines at around 12k or something like that, and I plan on doing front sprocket to get the rpms a little lower later on, but for right now is 9500rpms sustained ok for it? Anyways any help would be appreciated.
  5. I got an automatic 110 Chinese atv from a guy for $100 solely for the motor With intent to do a swap. Upon inspection I decided to fix the atv with the hope of trading it for a pit bike. It was so cheap because he had spaghettified the wiring harness so I pulled it all and installed a new one with all new components. On my test fire, as soon as it started the chain was engaged and the engine went FULL throttle even with the brake locked and no throttle input after firing. Thinking the throttle was stuck open, I dug into the carb which looks almost new and all mechanical parts seemed in working order. Then With the carb off to see if it was the carb, I started it with a little fluid in the cylinder(this time I was smart enough to put it on stands incase of a rocket ship start). It did the same thing, and now I’m at a loss of potential faults. I’ve done extensive research and haven’t found anyone with the same problem, albeit I may be looking in the wrong places. If anyone has any tips or ideas please let me know, I want to get it off my hands and listed on Facebook as soon as I can
  6. My Lifan125 cc engine is brand new. I rode it around for a bit and noticed something weird. When I Shift into 3rd gear, it doesn’t shift. But when I shift into fourth it shifts ok. Also, when I downshift, the shifter gets stuck in the down position. It is also very hard to get into neutral and I get a false neutral trying to shift into 3rd. What could be the problem here?
  7. So i have this chinese dirtbike i got for 50bucks. I got the thing running but now need a gas tank, seat, and plastics. The problem is this is not your typical honda 50 knock off so the common plastics for chinese bikes dont fit, ive ran the vin with no success other than finding out its a 2007. Vin is L6DYEKL267S002005. Can anyone help me identify the model of this damn thing and where to get the parts listed above from?
  8. Hey guys question here with the bike. It’s a chinese pitbike xmotos xt125r/peacemoto xb38 motor is identical to ssr125 motor for reference. Back story of the bike is I bought it used from a guy who bought a house and the bike came with it and a cr250 bummer it was sold before I got there but anyways it has been sitting. Had old bad gas that I drained most of and the fuel filter had a lot of dirt and gunk in it that I drained from the filter. It did idle when I test rode it then it stopped idling without gassing it or having the choke on. Bright side is I cleaned the carb and the jets and now it idles and starts on it’s on without throttle or choke assistance. but the main issue is it still keeps bogging when I try to gas it all the way and I cannot go past 25mph. If I keep accelerating it while it’s bogging it’ll eventually just stop and shut off. Only thing I have done to the bike was changed the oil, changed the spark plug cleaned the carb and jets and adjusted the idle mixture screw to try and make it run richer nothing really helps. I ordered a new carb the same PZ26 carb and a new fuel filter along with a uni air filter. Also posted on reddit I was told to come here as well. They recommended bigger jets, a mikuni carb which I will get, new fuel filter and to check the air filter, most said running lean and fuel delivery issue only one person has said spark/timing and running too rich so far. heres the video of what it’s doing which is from Reddit. This is the best video as I did this today and really got on the throttle :
  9. Can someone tell me what the heck is happening here? No, the idle screw does not need to be adjusted, or the carb need to be cleaned for a 4th time. It ran perfect an then randomly started doing this: it fires about once a second, barely holding an idle, then as soon as you give it gas, backfires through the carb black soot and puffs of gas. It’s not lean or rich, it was just running perfectly.
  10. I'm wondering what tires these are cuz I want some like them for my klx 110.
  11. Hey all! I have a 2011 Gio X31 250cc that is losing compression gradually. It had amazing compression when it was new...but now it's becoming a tiresome task to kick-start when my electric start is down. It's burning a small amount of oil, but I don't even have to top it up between oil changes (~10 hrs. per change). I'm thinking it just needs a valve adjustment to bring the compression back up. I'm surprised how good this engine has been. I ride it hard and it keeps up with bikes 2-3x the hp and refuses to die! I don't know how to adjust the valves on a 4-stroke, let alone a Chinese one. If any of you know how to adjust the valves on a Gio X31 250cc I would appreciate the help! Do I need to pull the engine for this? Thanks
  12. Here's the story so far: Bought a rejetting kit for it, the jets are all larger jets. (should have verified before purchasing - my fault) The Bike sounds like a Harley Davidson. (LOUD, lots of decel pops and popping just in general) I have cleaned the carb, verified the main jet and pilot jet are clear. Oiled the Air Filter, changed out the spark plug, adjusted the idle screw and tried to lean it with the air/fuel mixture screw as I am at 7k elevation. I have changed the needle clip position to the 2nd from the highest position and the plug still comes out black as night. The fuel bowl fills up without any issues so I don't believe I have a gas tank flow problem. What happens is when I get the throttle past 1/4 it just bogs out, hard. It will idle all day with the choke off but in order for it to run (kind of) with the throttle engaged, I have to leave the choke on in the middle position. If you look at where the choke on the carb engages the spring loaded air intake "thing" (I cannot figure out what that deal is called) that "thing" flutters like crazy meaning the air intake opening is just opening and closing super fast. I'm just wondering if I got a bad carb? I changed the valve clearances to .003 and .004. I went back in and verified that they stayed at that clearance after I ran the bike for a few minutes. I've heard the jingke carbs are just garbage to begin with and I'm better off getting a Mikuni 22mm carb to replace it and be done with it but I kind of don't want to put more money into this bike and still have this elevation/carb issue. Thoughts? Other techniques?
  13. I recently acquired this Chinese pit bike, and was able to get it running. But i have no clue what the make is. The VIN is LYPLYN13050308016. I hope it's not lost forever! All i know is its a 2005 and has a Lifan 125cc CDI engine. Maybe someone will recognize that symbol on the rear mudguard.
  14. I purchased this bike a few months ago it had some problems with it but it was a cheap project bike for my girlfriend to learn how to ride on in the past few weeks I've been slowly doing some upgrades one of them being a new engine i brought online the old engine had a crack by the kick start not to mention it was a semi automatic i put a manual one in it. So my question/problem is the original engine witch I don't have anymore had 5 wires comeing from the stator red/black, blue/white, green, white, and yellow the new engine i purchased has red/black, blue/white, green then the tricky ones it had two yellow wires how do I figure out witch yellow wires connects to the original wire harness on the bike does it even matter if there swaped. A little more information the engine i put on the bike is one of the typical Chinese engines you would find on any off brand atv/pitbike/from clone. I would highly appreciate any help I can get thanks in advance
  15. Hello, I have a 125cc Chinese clone pitbike, it's a few years old been ragged etc! I had recently changed the piston and the rings it ran fine after that a bit less power but it was fine however when I kicked it it felt as if I was slowly forcing the piston up the cylinder and then when I kicked it again felt like a normal kick. It was only recently I started using it again and it runs for about 10 minutes and then bogs out and dies and then 5 mins later it will start up again and then 2 mins later it will bog out again!!! I've checked the valves, the timing is correct, I've tried turning idle up turning fuel/air mixture screw and taking the air filter off and all types of things and it's still doing it and not sure what's causing it ???? Please help sorry for the long description but thought I'll tell yous everything so that you maybe able to put yous fingers on the problem! Thanks
  16. So my 2013 classic Chinese pit bike got its head and piston and rings replaced just yesterday and it still smokes like crazy, I replaced the valve seals and it’s still smoking. I replaced the head gasket and it’s STILL smoking even after I replaced the piston and the rings what else could it be??! And it’s not even a light smoke when you rev it out it’s like a 2 stroke that has bad clutch side oil seals
  17. Found a 2014 ssr 125 for 300$. He says it starts right up and is only missing the clutch lever...what should I look out for when I'm inspectin or checking out the bike?
  18. Just purchased my first pitbike I previously owned a viper 150cc was wondering if it was a big upgrade and is there anything i should do as soon as its delivered after assembly that will extend the longevity new to the community6ft220lb
  19. I’ve had my Ssr 125 for about two weeks now and everything has run fine. I bought it used but it’s a 2018 so I didn’t expect many problems but it is a Chinese bike. Anyways I’ve been having a problem keeping the bike idleing without the choke. After research I found the main problem is a clogged pilot jet. I took apart the carb and clean both the main and pilot jet with some carb cleaner. I thought this would solve my problem but I guess not. I’ve put in new fuel and it’s only been in there about a week. Anyone have suggestions? #Ssr#125cc#chinese#bog
  20. Bought a atc200s. For some reason the gears are all down. So down is up. My brain short circuits every time I shift this thing. Is there a way to reverse the shift pattern? Bought it as a little toy to play on when I don’t want to bust out a big bike, but this shifting makes me want to leave it in the garage.
  21. Which one should I get first? I have knobby tires on my stock crf50 and I only have my foot brake. I'm looking at the irc mb38 street tires 80/90-10 Which one would be more beneficial for my wheelie practicing?
  22. Anybody hear of swapping out the clutch pack hub in an apollo 125 for an auto setup out of a chinese 125 atv?? My daughter loves her bike but hates the clutch. Also thinking of modding a rekluse to fit this pile idk any help would be appreciated
  23. Hi Im looking for a X-moto xb33-b 2013 250cc manual i couldn’t find it by myself and was wondering if someone had it. thanks in advance Patrik
  24. i have a 140cc with 23mm/27m Big Valve Head engine from Orion Power sports that came with valves not tuned properly i got that tuned and had my old 22mm carburetor on it and it runs rich when full throttle it backfires and slows down and when kicking it i need a boot because it backfires and the kick starter comes back up with a good amount of force it also doesn't have any compression a lot of the time so i have to find it. The website recommend the 24mm Mikuni carb tho and it runs way too rich with smaller jets and adjustment.are my problems with the carburetor or something else?
  25. Please help identifying this pit bike so I can get parts...
