The RM125 seems to be in good condition. It has recently had a full engine rebuild. My CR85R is in good condition and I just rebuilt my top end and put a new rear shock and wheel assembly on it. Do you all think this would be a good trade and why or why not?

Hi all! This is my first post on the forum so sorry if I'm in the wrong thread. I pulled a 2002 cr80 off the beach that I found abandon there and I recently got it running, but the clutch needs to be replaced/fixed. I can get all of the screws for the clutch cover off but one is behind the foot peg so I can't get a ratchet or wrench back there. Any ideas?

I found a “cr85” for sale that I thought was a cr80 doesn’t say anything about being a bored out 80, it’s a 2002. Did they finish 80’s early 2002 and start 85’s late 2002?

Hi everyone, I hav searched this topic and don't seem to find anything that really answers my question. My dad and I have been looking for a project bike to fix up together. We found a 1987 CR80R that needs some attention and are going to look at it today. It does not appear to have its cylinder or cylinder head any longer. I've been searching online for cylinders the past few days and the '87 cylinder seems a bit hard to find. I am wondering what other year models would fit? If the bolt holes do line up with the cases, what other differences in years should we consider? Do different years have different bore sizes? Thanks in advance!

I have a 83' Honda CR80 and I have to rebuild the top end because I blew it, but I just found a XR80.... can I put a XR80 head on my CR instead of rebuilding the CR's top end? Will it effect my bikes performance and power if I do that?

I want to buy a 2002 cr80 and was wondering if I come home after buying it and see the cylinder is actually scored can I just get it milled down and use bigger rings or is the cylinder plated? First two stroke but my dad used to have yz’s so he has experience. Basically if the cylinder is scored badly can I just get it rebored and put big rings or does it need to be rebored then plated. Also how many times can a cylinder that size be rebored and how do you tell how many times it has already been rebored.

My dad grew up riding three wheelers and quads but no bikes, he fixes and rides quads and Atcs daily and my mom rode a moped but that’s all of their experience. My parents act like even the smallest trail bike is a death machine. I have ridden a atc350x (dads) and a kxf250 (friends) as the most “dangerous” machines I have ever ridden. I don’t understand and I talk to them about it to death. I even see an xr100r for $350 that was $600 on Craigslist right now that I can afford. I ride a 300ex daily and have ridden all my life. I just want a dirt bike for a chance and I can’t even get my parents to budge on a ttr125 or crf150. I’m 15 and I think it’s time I’m alowed but they don’t. I know I can ride good because I have ridden many bikes and have had my fair share of crashes.

I bought a 1995 cr80 frame and motor, with plans of using the motor on another project and ran into an issue the swingarm bolt is seized in the motor and I can't get it out.i had to cut the frame where the bolt travels to get the swing arm out but now I cannot get the bolt out of the motor (I may restore the frame at a later date)

My 2002 CR80 Shatters every other piston that’s in it I sent to the cylinder out to get real nikasil sealed recently but I’m worried because The Pistons shatter not just have dents They break into multiple parts and you have to hose out the inside otherwise shrapnel gets stuck in there I’ll try to post some pictures pictures soon but I have it set up running nowWhen it shatters next I will send pictures

Hi i Have a CR80 that feels as if the rear suspension is getting soft, im 5 foot 2 and weigh 130 pounds, and was wondering if 5.0kg rear suspension spring is good for my weight or a 5.4kg rear suspension spring is better for my weight.

Hey guys, Just came across all of these old school slide shows. They take awhile to record and upload to youtube. But I'm trying to get the good ones done first. Full of info and fun to watch. This one is all off road models cr500r cr250r cr125r cr80r cr60r as well as xr200 xr250 and xl600r. Also there is a test at the end of part 2 so make sure you study hahah. part 1 part 2 I'm about to do another from 84 street bikes 🙂 going to be fun enjoy!

Hi everyone, I was riding my CR85 today and I washed out and landed on the left side, the shifter side. After getting up and collecting myself I tried to get the bike in neutral to start it and it wouldn’t go. The shifter moves but the gears don’t change. I’m thinking it’s the shift shaft or shift drum. Anything helps, Thanks!! Rick

I want to restore a 1996 cr80 that doesn’t have any graphics and absolutely love the 1994 cr125r tank shroud graphics, I can’t seem to find anything that fits the cr80 with those graphics. I found one last week but lost the page and couldn’t track it down again, do the cr125r graphics fit the cr80 tank shrouds? or does anyone know where someone could make them for cheap or know about any in Australia

for anyone one that needs i have the frame code and paint went into my local paint shop and they perfectly matched the paint and wrote the code down I am writing this because i couldn't find anything online about frame paint or colour so i hope this helps some of you out, I will update later for paint code,

I have a 2002 cr80. Losing crankcase oil fast and of course smokes like a freight train. Went and replaced right side crank seal and it still appears to lose oil and continues to smoke bad. Anyone able to point me in the right direction from here? Bearings worn out maybe? Crankcase seal?

Im planning to buy a Honda cr80 1981 this tuesday, but im a bit worried because its an old bike, if needed i can replace the parts but i live in holland so its pretty hard to get parts for a honda of 1981. so my question was can i use newer parts on this honda, so if something is not good i can replace it with newer parts that are easier to get. Im also buying this honda for 500 euro (keep in mind i live in holland), do you guys think its an overpay or not? my budget is 500 euro's. Thanks!

I was browsing the local Craigslist ads as per the usual and came across this ad for a 2002 CR80RB for only $350! https://charlottesville.craigslist.org/mcy/d/02-cr80-big-wheel/6346421677.html From what I can tell in the picture it looks somewhat clean besides the fact that it doesn't run. I emailed the seller to see if he knew what was wrong with it and he said "kick start won't go down when you try to kick it". That's obviously a top end problem and hopefully has nothing to do with the bottom end. I'm thinking about buying it, putting a cheapo Namura kit in it, cleaning it up a little, and then selling it but i don't know if its feasible or not...

so i got a cr80 when i started it up it was revving on its own and smoking alot. i dont know how to adjust the carb since its a chinese one it has a lot of weird screws. and i think it might be a seal leak getting oil into it.

I’ve got a 1989 cr89 and am using it for trails and whatnot and need to install a kickstand. There seems to be a mount behind the left foot peg for a kickstand but the only mounts I can find are in Australia. Does anyone know where to get one of these mounts and the kickstand with bolt and spring? Or any better ideas? Thanks
