  1. So I have had my 2005 Honda CRF 150F for around 4 years. It always gave me a hard time when it came to idling, but now the bike will just stall from idling for 3 min. I have to constantly rev the engine just a bit to keep the bike running. It runs great but when you come to a complete stop and put it in neutral, it dies. I preform regular maintenance on the bike but have not taken the whole bike apart myself. I was wondering if it would have something to do with the fuel/air mix screws.... i dont really know which one is which, i might have turned them too much(yes im a bit confused). I have attached a picture and if someone could tell me which one should be adjusted and how many turn out they should be. ( i have adjusted the bottom screw - near exhaust pipe and the middle screw..) Is there anything I could do to see if it will fix the problem before I would need to take it in to be serviced.

Hello, i'm looking at getting a different dirt bike I had a 2004 crf150f for awhile and did not like it at all, the carb was slightly rich and everything was stalk except the bars and grips. and a few months back I got to ride, a 2002 yz85, and I had alot of fun. but i'm doing more woods and trail riding and, and my dad says I would like a upgraded crf150f... but that thing is so heavy and slow I have trouble believing that. so I guess the the question is. should I get a yz85, or cr85 and set them up for woods or would I like a modified crf150f or is there a bike i'm leaving out of the question? the only brands i'm interested in is Honda and yamaha. and i'm 13 years old and 5'1'' Thanks
  4. So to simplify this, I'm getting an XR100 like next weekend and I was looking for upgrade parts to make it competitive with a crf125, or just make it go faster 😏. Ive heard of many of the mods already but i have a very tight budget. Is there any other rejetting or other things I need to do after installing these? I'm thinking FMF header, atc200x carb, bbr120 kit, and modded air filter/ intake. (wanted a hotcam camshaft too but may be out of budget). I really only have about 350 to spend. I was also wondering if the cr80 throttle and cable are really needed for the atc200x catb. And the big question is if i buy these is there anything id have to buy to make them work or fit? nothing worse then brand new parts you cant use... also is this the 200x carb? http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/301891165034?chn=ps&dispItem=1
  5. So I saw a crf150r and bought it. The guys said that the bike sat for a year and he cleaned the carb and put new air filter in it. I rode the bike and it felt like it was brand new. I get home and start it and let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes and it slowly died down and shut off. It has oil coolant and gas(all was fresh) and the kick start locked. I bump started it 2 times and it tried to start and then it wouldn’t after that. I took the bike home and put it in 1st and moved back and forth and I unlocked. Now it has low compression and won’t start at all. What do I do
  6. Hello everyone, I am new here but not new to bikes! So I have had a Honda CRF150F that sat for quite some time and needed some love. I took the carburetor apart and cleaned it and replaced the clogged main jet as well as some gaskets. Sadly I can not get the thing to run. It will only run on choke. It will idle very high, sometimes it idles normal and then back up. The slid/throttle does not stick and I can not find any air leaks on the boots for the crab either. I am assuming there has to be adjustments on the air/fuel screw on the bottom? Any other thoughts? Let me know if there is any other info you guys need. Thanks!

  8. Hey, so I had a few transmission prices fall out when splitting the case and I don’t know if I put these gears have right and also what I do with those 3 rings Also if anyone has a piston cylinder. let me know
  9. My dad grew up riding three wheelers and quads but no bikes, he fixes and rides quads and Atcs daily and my mom rode a moped but that’s all of their experience. My parents act like even the smallest trail bike is a death machine. I have ridden a atc350x (dads) and a kxf250 (friends) as the most “dangerous” machines I have ever ridden. I don’t understand and I talk to them about it to death. I even see an xr100r for $350 that was $600 on Craigslist right now that I can afford. I ride a 300ex daily and have ridden all my life. I just want a dirt bike for a chance and I can’t even get my parents to budge on a ttr125 or crf150. I’m 15 and I think it’s time I’m alowed but they don’t. I know I can ride good because I have ridden many bikes and have had my fair share of crashes.
  10. Currently, I have a crf150f and I like it but I am looking for more power and more of a race bike. I am deciding on either getting a crf150r or cr250r. I am 15, 180 pounds, and 5 ft 10. I am wanting a 4 stroke- used bike. please leave your feedback on what bike I should get, greatly appreciated.
  11. 84 XR200 in CRF150. BBR150 exhaust. CRF 230 wheels, swingarm, etc. XR500 rear shock(adj comp, & rebound). 11 t0 1 comp. piston, PORTING.
  12. So since there hasn't been much activity going on in the 80-200 forum, I started cruisin and reading the 150-230 forum. Today I read a post about a 150, with a kit that bumps it up to a 225? Through all my reading here, all I can really recall for the xr200r, there's the powroll 218 kit, and I think I remember something about a 240? My question is, how is the 150 able to be bumped up 75cc's, but the 200 at most jumps 40cc's? Is there a bigger kit, or is the 200 motor even capable of handling a bigger setup? I'm just curious about future possibilities. Also, what's the difference between the crf150f, and the crf150r? Daniel
  13. New to the offroad world! Purchased an 20004 CRF150 for my daughter. We ride at 5k to 9k feet here in Colorado. The 150 has stock jetting , pipe and the past owner did the airbox mod. Can someone suggest proper jetting? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

  15. Hey guys, I am looking at buying a CRF150f 2004. Never track ridden, used on a farm. I know the seller, and want to offer a fair price. They dont know what its worth. I was thinking around 900.00 but I haven't looked to see what they normally sell for. Thanks.
  16. Bike = 2005 CRF150F. BBR exhaust, air filter Problem #1 - Cold Start, cannot start EVER with choke on. Once started with choke 1/2-open or full-open it will barely purr and you must not use any throttle or it will stall. Once idled for a while and bike warms up you can ride it as normal Problem #2 (I believe directly related to #1) - Even with bike hot and running great, if you ever close the choke (full choke), the bike stalls, and then back to #1. I realize you wouldn't ever need to do this, but I'd like to believe it should be possible. On my CRF450R, it would simply result in higher RPM, bike running rich, etc. Of course I don't do it. Today I took the carb apart, pilot jet looked clogged (typical). It was a 40, so I replaced it with a brand new 45 just for the fun of it. BBR calls for 110/40 though, so hmm dunno. I cleaned the main (was clear, but did it anyhow) too. Drained the gas tank 100%, added a little bit more, drained it again, so it was damnnnnnn clean! Re-assembled the carb and re-attached afterwards. Raised the throttle slightly since it did indeed seem a little on the low side even when hot. Problems persist except that the bike seemed to want to start quicker than previously, but still it had to be done with the choke open, and still stalls (and subsequently will never start) with the choke closed. I was thinking that when the butterfly valve is closed, air has to come in through those air pipes, right? Perhaps those are clogged, would that cause this, even with a clear pilot? The other idea is that it is just too rich with that pilot to start? I doubt it. It doesnt even WANT to start, it just kicks over and over and over and over and is almost as if the key was off (which it isnt). Open the choke and then you can start it. Any ideas? Thanks
