  1. Wanted to offer up a tkread with my most recent personal experience in designing and ordering my own personal graphics for my 2008 CRF-450R. When I google'd, my top find was www.motocal.com . The web site UI is quite enticing. It offers themes, pre-defined graphics that you can modify or create your own completely. I chose the later based on a super senior +55 template. The graphics engine allows you to paste in shapes, logos from a broad set of libraries or you can upload your own graphics or type in your own text and manipulate an assortment of colors. You can also shrink or zoom graphics as well as rotate any 360deg. In the beginning you tell the program what your make and model is and it is supposed to set you up with a dye cut baseline matching your OEM plastics. I spent many days editing since each time I went in, I found something that needed fixing whether alignment or colors. I had to play around with the dye cut selection as well because many clearly did not match my plastic. My order was around $70 USD. I opted for front and rear fenders, L&R swing arm, L&R air box and front # plate. Not bad but when you start putting on side # plates and shrouds you can get your purchase up over $200 real quick. I waited long enough that I guess the company was afraid I wasn't going to close the deal and they sent to my email a 10% discount and a free upgrade to thickness. Too bad I placed my order only a couple days too early. :-/ Delivery was very quick, especially after I found out the product ships from US to Ireland. The package came in about 8 days, certified so you will have to sign or pick up from the PO. Came out with a couple of issues which I am addressing with them which I'm sure they will fix since they extend 100% satisfaction guarantee. Responses take 24 hrs since we are across the pond from each other. #1 front fender, two of the lightening bolts colored 'aluminum' were supposed to be identical but the left one show there is some color bleed. As shown #2 rear fender, dye cut not a clear match for my OEM fender (yes the Honda plastic came black from the factory) As shown. Granted would not have been a problem but 1st, I put a border around the edges and 2nd, I put graphics accents to far out of the edges. Had I not done either of those things I could have just trimmed the decal with scissors and just been done with it. So lesson learned: Don't put on a border and don't put graphics within 3/4" from any edge. My overall take is fair only because of the 100% satisfaction guarantee but you can avoid some issues if you are mindful of #2 mentioned above. Oh and feel to give fret over the rear fender graphics. Sometimes we have to surrender in some ways to get to do the fun things we want with a lot less headaches. So yeah, I guess you could say my wife sponsors me. LOL
  2. I bought a 2007 CRF450X from Nevada and I need to register it in California. Can anyone PM me a good picture of their emissions label the federal standards label? That would be the top and the middle label. Don’t need the noise label. I’ve looked everywhere online and I can’t find a copy I can use. Thanks!
  3. Just want to reach out for anyone who may remember this. Recently picked up two MX400s, why did some run silver tank decals? Most have the yellow decals and I’m just curious if this was a factory change or something else. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Me and a friend transformed this Sherco 2018 300 from what you see to this: Please leave a comment on your thoughts, and please leave av comment please here and youtube if you have suggestions, or something we did wrong or if you like the video please subscribe and like... thank you
  5. So i ordered the pretty cool decals from Australia. Cant wait to see how they actually turn out on the bike!! Anyone used their decal kit before ?
  6. It's been a long time since I posted and although I found this site a few months ago, I didn't think about posting it here till tonight. Found it on a DRZ400 group on FB. They've got decals, t shirts, bolt kits, lights and racks. Didn't spend much time as I'm not in the market for anything but thought yall might be interested. http://www.grvinyl.com/products Later George
  7. Hi! I bought myself a 1992 Honda XR250L in October of 2019. The bike was not running. I paid 1000$CAD for it. Turns out it was the spark plug cap that was worn out completely. However, I got a good deal for it. The only downside of the bike is the aesthetics. The gas tank decals are all fainted and half taken off and there's a rip in the seat. I've been looking everywhere online to find new honda decals for it and a new seat cover that would fit the bike but I can't find anything online. Do you guys know about anywhere that could have some gas tank decals and maybe new plastics that fit, or new seat covers for a 1992 Honda XR250L. I've checked Kimpex Canada and US, Bikebandit, Fortnine, etc. They don't have any of it. Thanks! Louka P.
  8. I have a 70's Honda CR tank that I'm restoring and I want to buy some wing decals, but I see all different sizes being sold. I'd like to get the exact measurements of the original wing decals, but i have no idea how to find that out. Could somebody help me out? Thanks.
  9. I’m in a pickle, I’m getting my plastics and tank repainted for my Suzuki GS250T, but my uncle who is painting the parts can’t do the pinstripes, so is it possible to take the pinstripes off the old plastics and reuse it. I can find them for the tank and the right side plastic tape set. It’s no longer available at the parts stores. Also does anyone know how accurate the paint color sensitive camera is that they use to find the paint color ?
  10. I’m looking to change the look of my bike up a bit. I have replaced the red seat cover with a black Seat over, changed the grips, and handlebar pad. To me there is too much white on the bike and I was looking to replace the side number plates with a textured number plate, similar to the hex pattern on my radiator shroud (image attached). Or if textured plastics do not exist, does anyone know if there is such thing as matte black plastics? I have been looking for weeks, But to no prevail.
  11. Trying to repost again and hoping for better luck. Has anyone sourced accurate 1987 decals before. I friend loaned me his low mileage 1987 for a weekend trip when I was home visiting my dad, and they got a little scuffed. Normally not a big deal, but he's into the whole vintage thing and didn't tell me that.....before he lent me the bike for a 50/50 dirt trip that was three days long. I can't find any in existence, so I'm asking for help with the specs on the stickers, and maybe a recommendation on a trusted auto/mc decal guy who can color match and die cut well. thanks, john
