  1. I recently installed the loud mouth mx kit, twin air filter, twin air power filter oil, and prefilter. even before this install, my 2017 Kawasaki kx450f f1 warning light would blink when I was kicking it over, then go away when it started. it would also come on right when I hit the kill switch and shut off with the bike. I run t4 fuel, no engine mods, just the loud mouth filter kit with no backfire screen. why is it blinking when being kicked over?
  2. I have a 1990 yz 250 that just stopped running. Can bump start and get a few revs, then dies. Cleaned carb, checked gas and spark. Can’t tell if perhaps spark is weak? Would like to check electrics but not clear on procedure or resistance readings for the model bike. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
  3. Hey all... Help a girl out. I had a blonde moment and crashed on a forest road in 4th gear. I knocked the daylights out of my bike (and also broke a collarbone.) Summary of damage to bike: - the bike starts in neutral but cuts off immediately if I put it in gear. - electric starter doesn't work (only clicks) - gas throttle sticks open - someone told me my handlebars might be damaged but I don't see any cracks. Maybe it just got misaligned. - clutch lever wonky angle - broke the shit out of the speedometer screen - damage to body - broken headlight, shaved off mirrors Here are my questions: 1. Is the gear problem due to my safety switch? How do I fix it? 2. How do I tell if my handlebars are bent 3. Why is the electric starter clicking (bike sat only 10 days since crash. Battery is new.) 4. How do I fix throttle sticking problem Bike is a 2015 beta alp 200 (basically exactly the same bike as a DR200). 5. How long before I can ride again with this collarbone situation ❤️
  4. Hello TT universe… I've come across an interesting noise, and I can't quite pinpoint exactly what is causing it. It's a metallic pinging noise, it sounds like it's coming from either the front or top of my cylinder. It happens quite loudly at low rpms, especially when cold, however it does seem to continue even once the bike is thoroughly warm and ridden for a while. I uploaded a clip of the best audio i could get to youtube at this link : You can really hear it around the 4 sec. mark. The bike is a 2004 husqvarna cr125, 75 hours on the current vertex piston, 19 on the ring set. I run 91 pump gas mixed at 28:1 with Torco GP-7. So as usual, I decided to hit my marks to see if I could figure out what was going on. Pulled the top end apart and inspected the piston and spark plug for signs of a lean condition. Piston head shows clear carbon build up right around intake ports, and less build up around exhaust ports, which kind of makes sense. Picture also attached. Spark plug is chocolatey brown. Does not appear to be excessively lean, so I feel like it may not be detonation? Performance wise, the bike is not at all sluggish or boggy. Very responsive and smooth under heavy acceleration and when I need to access mid-rpm torque up through over-rev. This bike also eats up exhaust o-rings with the FMF pipe. I've adjusted the metal tabs for the rubber damper mounts on the expansion chamber, and since then its not as bad. I checked over the exhaust system before the tear down and all bolts were tight, exhaust was securely in the cylinder. I was thinking maybe it could be the exhaust rattling around. Maybe the piston is worn past tolerances and resulting in extra noise? Anyone have and ideas?
  5. If I sit on flat ground in 1st gear with the clutch all the way in the bike still wants to roll forward like its still slightly in gear. Any ideas on the problem, or how to fix it?
