  1. Exploring beach and dunes in remote New Zealand on dirt bikes.
  2. After breaking my ankle, I decided it was time to get back out and hit some challenging trails. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2VVAJVxYN0
  3. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran amazing after it first bought it used. I was riding one day with a bogging issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb, checked the reeds, and tried hill starting it but nothing .When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies. There is spark coming from the plug though.I took the cylinder off and the piston and cylinder are &%$#@!ed.The piston rings were stuck in the grooves and I had to use pliers and a screwdriver to get it out. There was a ton of blow-by and the cylinder was scored.I bought a new piston already but how can I fix my cylinder.Im thinking of getting it repaired and replayed by either millennium,PowerSeal USA, or usnicom. This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.
  4. The RM125 seems to be in good condition. It has recently had a full engine rebuild. My CR85R is in good condition and I just rebuilt my top end and put a new rear shock and wheel assembly on it. Do you all think this would be a good trade and why or why not?

  6. CHECK THIS VID OUT!!!!! You Will NOT be disappointed! Kid rips. Get stoked to get out and ride...RIGHT NOW!
  7. I started riding snowmobiles when I was VERY small. Growing up at 5500 feet in Eastern Idaho - most people rode snowmobiles. Either because they had to or they loved it as a sport. Over time, my father transitioned slowly to three wheelers made by Honda - 110's, 185s and so forth and somewhat away from snowmobiles. I LOVED these machines, especially in the winter when I could spin an endless cookie in the street in front of my house much to the chagrin of my mother. From there, as I got older, and my parents got older - they moved to quads of all shapes and sizes over the years and I gained a love for trail riding and just being outdoors on a four wheeler. Fast forward to a few years ago, I'm now in my late 40's with 4 kids of my own and my oldest son wants to get into dirt bikes. (We have been riding quads of my own now up to this point.) So, like a good Dad, I buy him a Kawasaki KX100 and he LOVES the thing. Now when we go camping or anywhere else where we normally ride, I have to haul this green thing with us as well on my nice quad trailer! (Not happy about that initially.) Curiosity gets the best of me and I start taking the thing for short rides. It, at times, scares the **** out of me when I hit the power band, but I do pretty well overall. Then I start riding it more and more, and my son starts to notice and sees that he is now competing with me for seat time on his bike! My two younger sons notice and start begging for dirt bikes as well over time - their size dirt bikes that they can ride. Long story short - I buy my other sons smaller dirt bikes and pick myself up a Yamaha TTR125 to put around on. We are all hooked at this point! All four of us love it and cannot get enough. Over the last summer we rode anytime we could squeeze it into our schedule. And we are still riding - just went this past Saturday even though there was snow on the trails in a lot of places. At this point, the thought of riding a quad again is so unappetizing its crazy. I cannot imagine being on anything but a motorcycle now, quads seems boring, lifeless and safe. (They boys all have larger bikes now and I moved to a TTR230 for now.) So what is this "two wheel witchcraft" that exists? I have never gotten so hooked on something so quickly prior to dirt bikes. And the disdain I have for quads now is palpable - I still have two of them for my wife and daughter, but I turn my nose up at them every time have to load them or maintain them! 🙂 I'm sure there are similar experiences out there.
  8. Hey, TT. I have two young boys on CRF50s. I normally ride at Metcalf Road or Hollister, both of which are within an hour from me in Silicon Valley. Unfortunately, these riding parks are generally so crowded, that even the mini tracks, which are allocated to young children/beginners, are overrun. My boys are intimidated by the fast riders and loud pipes. We need a place that's wide open, safe, and not jam-packed with riders for them to learn the basics--balance, braking, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for BLM or national forest within a couple hours where I could take them to build confidence. We really just need an open area or dirt roads for now. Thanks for the help!
  9. Does anyone know if there is Dirtbiking in these Areas? We trail ride and are strictly offroad only. Im wanting to stay at the Surpent River Campground if possible and ride from there if there are trails in the area. I'm also open to these other places too. Blind River Algoma Mills Spanish Surpent River Esponola Sudbury Looking for info on Campgrounds, trail Heads , where to buy passes. The trails have to be around the moderate range as I have a 12 year old that rides dirt bike. I would greatly appreciate any info I can get as I'm not from the area at all. Thank you!
