  1. When I picked up my 87 XR6r the PO had a ton of extra parts that I now have. I already sold the extra tank and seat but I still have: Front wheel with rotor and axle-$75 Front fork assembly- $100 Front fender-$25 Rear Fender-$25 Stock Speedometer-$30 (turns on, but wont properly display speed/functions. Only 7's across the screen 🤦) Headlight housing with glass-$30 I think there are some other bits and pieces too in the box. I can post up pics later or if you are interested shoot me a text and I can send pics asap! I can also gather shipping quotes for you. I am in Washington State. Thanks guys 573-619-4666
  2. I listed my Vstar 650 as a no reserve auction as I am currently moving to New York and having to leave the bike at a friends house. Do you think this was a terrible idea? I am a rule follower so I will let it go for whatever it sells for, but what are the chances it maxes out at 800 bucks? Anyways, heres link if anyone is interested in it.   3. Guy is selling this bad mamba jamba CRF450 fully loaded, and said that he balanced this bike on the back tire for this image. Short of a green screen and some amazing photoshop I can't see how else he could do it. Is it possible? Also pics or it didn't happen, I don't even believe this guy and I have the pictures.
  4. Haven’t posted on a forum before so forgive me if I’m posting in the wrong section. I am trying to sort out the value of my bike. It’s a 2008 ktm 105 xc with 109 hours on it. Never raced, only ridden on trails here on Vancouver Island BC. It has a weighted flywheel so has been excellent for the trail riding I like. It also has an added gas tank on the front for longer rides. It’s been well maintained by professionals. I paid 5000 US dollars for it when I bought it in Sacramento in 2008. I have all the paperwork for importing it into Canada and proof of duty paid. I just celebrated my 58 th birthday and decided it’s time to sell the dirt bike and replace it with a more passive sport so am going to buy a kayak :) I would appreciate any input as to the value of this bike.   6. Long time reader, first time poster. After 4 great years with my DRZ, I finally decided I need to change bikes. My question is what is the best way to get the most value out of my DRZ. I stopped in a local dealer to check out a V-Strom and they mentioned they don't factor in add-ons to trade in value, because they don't factor them into sales price on used stock either. I'm not sure if this is typical or not. So what to do? Do I: 1) Trade-in the DRZ with all the add-ons 2) Strip the add-ons, replace with the OEM parts I kept, trade-in stock bike and sell add-ons used 3) Buy the new bike and sell the DRZ privately? Some info about the bike: 2013 Suzuki DRZ-400S, black. ~8,000 miles. I kept all the factory parts after upgrading with the following: Suzuki kick-start kit, Clarke 3.9 gal tank, Seat Concepts 1" lower seat with wide rear of seat, TCI Products skid plate, TCI products engine guards, ThumperTalk crank case covers, TCI Products Denali rack with Nelson-Rigg saddlebags and top bag, Tusk hand guards, Radiator guards, Dunlop D606 tires (front has low treads and should be replaced), X-grip phone holder and a USB/cigarette lighter plug wired to the battery and mounted to the handlebars for phone charging, wired a trickle-charger plug-in to keep battery charged between longer periods without use, and an Air Hawk seat cushion. I basically tried to set it up as an Adventure Tourer, but don't actually have time for adventuring. The bike did some small amounts of local trail riding, but not much. It was mainly used as a back-roads commuter. I love the bike, but its not great for 2-up riding for any real distance. I ALMOST talked the wife into getting her own bike, but that's not gonna happen now. Hence my looking for a V-Strom. If anybody can help give me an idea of what the best way to proceed is, that would be great. Thank you in advance. -Nick

  8. Please be on the look out for anyone that my be selling this engine pictured. I mailed this engine and it is now missing. I’m going through the proper channels to hopefully recover this engine, however in the event that it isn’t located, I’d like to ask the thumpertalk community to keep an eye out for it Incase it surfaces in a classified somewhere. I know it’s a long shot, but any and all help is greatly appreciated. Ill post on here the results of how things turn out. Thanks for any and all help.

  10. I have a set of Warp 9 Supermoto Wheels I will be selling with in the next month or two. Just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in buying them. I just bought a 2015 Honda CRF450X and am going to set it up for dual sport / enduro riding rather than supermoto riding. They have the black rim, silver spokes, and red hubs. They are in great condition, not scratched up or anything. Depending on what shipping cost and everything I'll prob ask around $750 for them. Brand new they run $900-950. The wheels have dual sport knobby tires on them now and can potentially be sold with them included. I don't have pictures of them right now but can upload some on here soon.   11. hey guys, i am new to bikes and have been searching in the shadows but would like to become a member of the community. right now i have a cr125, both 1993 and 1999. they both are in bad shape and to know nothing about bikes, i know, i am in over my head but what better way to learn. the 1993 has all parts to get it running but im pretty sure when i put it back together i didnt get something right w the carb. i say that cause i see tube like hoses(pink in color) connected to a lot of you guys carbs and only thing connected to my carb is the tank and cord that goes to the clutch lever(i think thats where that cord goes) the 1999 is only a shell and suspension . no motor, carb, nothing! just mane/sub frame, suspension, arm, tires, tank, radiator, plastics. i got the 1993 for $300, and the 1999 for $100 so i dont mind putting money in it. i just need guidance on the technical stuff. i dont even know how to mix gas. a 4stroke may b better for me but hey.... long story longer, will my 93 motor fit in my 99? i read 99 motors are popular in the shifter community so they may b hard to come by. ebay mainly sells you cases separately and thats sketchy on matching up since idk wat im doing really. what motors will fit in easiest? i dont plan on racing, just learning moreso. i rode when i was in my teens(now 31) so i know the basics. just bought a house with a large wooded area behind my house and figured wth. I'll pose pics if u guys need. BTW- i live in Maryland so if anyone wanna stop pass and help me out....lol THANKS!

  13. Hi all. I have 2 street legal Supermotos, a 2005 Husaberg FS650e and a 2006 KTM 625 SMC. I am thinking of selling one of them but I'm having trouble deciding which one. The Husaberg is more fun to ride than the KTM but also more maintenance intensive and I'm a little worried about parts availability now that Husaberg is no more. The KTM is a better every day Supermoto and even though the LC4 motor is no longer in production I think it would be easier to get parts for it than the Berg. I do have a complete spare 450 motor for the Berg though. It would just require a different CDI box to run it in the 650 chassis. Any thoughts or recommendations on which one I should keep?
