  1. I recently watched a hard enduro bike setup video by Johny Walker. In the video he talks about running a front brake lever with a spring that shortens the pull (2:03) . I have heard that the springs come standard on the motocross bikes and I was wondering if I could fit a motocross front brake lever to my 2018 fe350?
  2. This is the 2nd part of our trip in Mae Sariang, a small village in North Thailand. We started from the village and went west to the Burmese border (a big river called the Mae Salaween). All easy trails following rivers and single tracks. On the way back, since things were going all too smoothly, we decided to "try" a new section based on a google satellite image showing a riverbed and some plantations along the river. There was a 2km gap between the end of the river of the next village, so we decided to give it a go and see how it would be. Little did we know that the last 2km were hell (well the whole river trail was hell for me on a motocross bike haha). Hope you enjoy the video:

Becoming the most dominant rider in the eight-year history of the race, Jarvis scaled the 2365m high Olympos Mountain first to collect his fifth victory in the event. Proving a good day for Sherco, Mario Roman and Wade Young completed the podium. “That’s easily one of my greatest victories here at Sea to Sky,” told Jarvis. “I had to work for that one, it was a close race from bottom to top.” “My start wasn’t great and I had a bit of catching up to do. Wade and Mario were really pushing the pace up front. “Then I broke my clutch perch and housing mid way through and had to tape it to the handlebars. I had no clutch in some places. “I caught the two guys properly in the second last climb, within sight of the finish line and made it up first. “I’m a happy man, I think a few beers are in order tonight!” For the majority of the race it was a Sherco 1-2 with Roman and Young setting the pace. Roman led initially then Young took over as they sized each other up. Young led into the second last climb but Jarvis nipped past him there. Then with about 50 metres to go, Roman snuck past as Young became beached on a rock, in a move that was a carbon copy of what happened two years ago when Andreas Lettenbichler snuck past too. Getting the better of his teammate, Roman cross the line to take the runner-up result in his first time of asking at Red Bull Sea to Sky. “I”m so happy with this result, to come here for my first time and get on the podium is great,” said Roman. “I was riding with Wade and he just made that mistake at the end and I got the position.” Feeling a little short changed at the finish, Young completed the top three. “I’m a bit gutted with that, I went from first to third within sight of the finish line, it’s a bitter pill to swallow,” admitted Young. Behind the top three it was Alfredo Gomez who took his KTM home in fourth. Putting in a solid and determined ride, Billy Bolt brought his Husqvarna home in fifth while Jonny Walker completed the top six with Lars Enockl seventh.
  4. After a 3rd in Erzberg last week he came back to win in the Dominican Republic this week for the Machete Hard Enduro against Jarvis , Walker, Gomez and Mario Roman. Jarvis had a mix up Gomez in the night race

As a rookie to the competition Webb was quick to learn what was needed to succeed, but with rain canceling the final days he had to settle for second overall.   6. Okay so first of all right off the bat obviously my clutch keeps burning. BUT! Before you go off and ask me if I’m doing things right.. Keep noted I’ve been racing my entire life and am a Double A offroad-racer going through training coaches and professionals even who have won gncc’s i can assure you I’m doing everything right and riding the bike as i should. Secondly manually slipping the clutch is an absolutely normal thing is actually a must have for racing, i slip the clutch a lot but knowing my boundaries by how much i should slip my clutch, and how aggressively. I know when my clutch is slipping, when something’s wrong, or when I shouldn’t be slipping the clutch. I’m using Ams-oil 4T engine oil. And after my stock plates burned a while back i put on tusk plates. Although having tried Pro-X with the same result. The only time even very rarely my clutch stands a chance at burning would be on a major hill-climb, but even then it’s not enough slippage to fry the clutch! I’m getting a fried clutch every &%$#@!ing 35 - 40 hours and im pissed it’s too much money. I’m not sure if there’s any air in the clutch line/lever. I’ve only got 220 hours on the bike so i’d have to give it a look although doubted. People often talk about plates being blue or warped. Mine are just straight up &%$#@!ing black. Im trying to give you as much information as i can but I don’t even know what could be the reason. The bike should be able to handle my abuse, that’s what’s triggering because if you’re gonna make a race bike it better be able to handle a racer and it doesn’t quite seem like it can. Is there any other reason why i’m having these issues? Ask away, i’m glad to answer. Here’s some pictures. HOWEVER!! One thing to note, i am using a midwest engineering clutch lever BUT i tune it every single race to make sure it doesn’t fry the clutch. The midwest lever makes it easier to pull the clutch in, Ive got some tighter springs on my clutch to keep it from getting fried.

Our group of riders living in Thailand and due to the current travel restrictions, we all decided to load the bikes up and drive 2000km south near Phuket to stay there for 5 weeks of some "remote work" and loads of riding!   9. Hi. Tried Enduro a few times in borrowed bike (2012 ktm exc250) and loved it. Want to buy a bike and start riding. I live in Portugal, My budget is limited, and at the prices here I can't get good state 1999/2000 XR250. I'm 6 foot and around 180/190lbs, so my guess is if the bike will handle the trails around here. A lot of singlegrack, rock gardens, rock climbs, hillclimbs. Basically hard Enduro. And if it will be able to go on raids and events without being to slow and not able to keep up with my friends (they ride fairly well) I need a 4t because I'll be using the bike to move around town and such. Wanted an opinion about the xr250, thanks
  10. Hey guys now i know this is probably a stupid question but would a 2012 ktm 250xcw be to much for me? A little background first. So i have been riding since i was five, am 5'9" weigh 125lbs and am 14 years old. I ride mostly tight single track being most of the trails are only handlebar width with semi large hill clims with little to no run up. Also i ride an enduroX track with lots of trials oriented obstacles. I have a trials background and for about 3 1/2 years i rode a 250 2t trials bike. Then i sold it this year in hopes of getting a true 2t enduro bike. For awhile i really wanted a 150xcw but they are really hard to find up here in Alberta Canada. I am currently riding my cousins a crf150f. So i have a friend who is selling this https://www.kijiji.ca/v-dirt-bikes-motocross/edmonton/2012-ktm-250-xc-w/1476540528. What do you guys think? Would it be to much or could it work? Now i know the price is a little high but he said he is quite negotiable on the price so what do you guys think? Would this be a good buy or should i wait for a 150?

September 24, 2018 Motor Sports Newswire Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt Finishes Third at Hawkstone Park Cross-Country in Great Britain September 24, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Continuing his recent run of good form, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt once again showed his class in this year’s World Enduro Super Series to claim another podium finish with third at his home round of the championship. In doing so the young Brit moves to the top of the WESS standings with two rounds remaining. Further success for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team came from Bolt’s teammates Graham Jarvis and Alfredo Gomez who placed ninth and 10th respectively. Staged at the iconic Hawkstone Park venue the two-day event saw the 650 competitors entered kick things off with a Sprint Enduro qualification on Saturday. Utilising the legendary Motocross circuit and surrounding woodland, riders battled against the clock for position on the Motocross and Enduro special tests. Showing strong pace in the woods, Bolt put in impressive times to qualify an eventual third for Sunday’s two-and-a-half-hour Cross-Country race. Knowing the pace would be hot from the off, Bolt was quick to establish himself inside the top five of the 250 qualifiers. Using his ability to make light work of the technical climbs to his advantage, he moved himself up the leader board to place second at the mid-way point of the race. However, a couple of mistakes saw him lose some time, slipping back one position, but nevertheless he claimed a well-deserved third place result. For Graham Jarvis the Cross-Country nature of the race did not weigh in the Husqvarna rider’s favour. Determined to put on a good show for his home fans, the Erzbergrodeo winner pushed hard and despite suffering a bad start he steadily worked his way forward, gaining positions as the physical nature of the race took its toll on riders. He eventually finished in a hard-fought ninth. Also more accustomed to Hard Enduro terrain, Spaniard Alfredo Gomez had his sights set on a top-10 finish at Hawkstone. Although crashing off the start, he knew the sandy, woodland whoops would slow the field of riders as the race wore on. Feeling strong towards the end, he maintained a fast pace throughout to fight his way home for 10th. The World Enduro Super Series continues with round six at Sweden’s Gotland Grand National on October 26/27. Billy Bolt: “I knew my pace was good today but my plan was to just ride my own race and see where I finished. I knew Josep and Nathan would be fast so I wanted to stick to a steady rhythm and hopefully be not too far behind. I caught up to Nathan at one point and was a little stronger in some of the sections. I started to crash a little bit so just eased off a little and focused on claiming a safe third for the championship. The track was great, there was one rock-step that I was hitting quite hard and jumping – the crowd really loved it but then it started to get a bit gnarly, so I had to take it a little easier. The support from the fans was incredible – all the way around the track they were cheering and spurring me on. Finally, to be back on the podium and also leading the championship has capped off a great weekend’s racing.” Graham Jarvis: “I got a bit of a bad start and had to fight my way through the pack for most of the race. I’m happy with a top-10 and was getting faster towards the end of the race too – so that’s positive.
