Hey guys... going to Gorman in a few days to weeks with a friend who is fairly new with dirt bikes... we stop at the Alkilk campground, and sometimes Edison. But we can always go to a different campground if we drive there. Which trails are the best for a complete beginner? Like something that isn't too sandy, and not too rocky. Small hills and holes are okay, straight roads are preferred. Also where is the practice track? I'll be riding my YZ 125, and he'll be riding my other YZ 125. Thanks.
Hello, I'm new to both this forum and thumpers- although I'm quickly becoming an avid enduro fein! I'm looking at www.fs.usda.gov trail closures for the 2018/19 winter season wondering how risky it is to break the rules here and there to take advantage of the spectacular conditions now moisture has ben reintroduced to SoCal! Can I get some insight into how "on top if it" ranger's from the LOs Padres Mt. Pinos District are at citing rebels like me are?
My son and I are thinking about heading to the Hungry Valley riding area near Gorman. I have not been there for almost 20 years. We used to exit the 5 fwy at Gorman and go to Gold Hill Road to enter through the gate there. If I remember correct though, there might be an entrance off Smokey Bear Road too. Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance to share?
