  1. I recently watched a hard enduro bike setup video by Johny Walker. In the video he talks about running a front brake lever with a spring that shortens the pull (2:03) . I have heard that the springs come standard on the motocross bikes and I was wondering if I could fit a motocross front brake lever to my 2018 fe350?
  2. My engine on my 2017 Husqvarna fc 250 rattles when the clutch is not pulled in. I’m not sure if this is normal as it is my first 4 stroke but I assume it is not. Any help or knowledge about this will help alot

  4. I have a 2009 Husky smr450 and I rode it to work today no issues. When I went to ride it home it would crank over but nothing. I can hear the fuel pump come on and it cranks over just fine but it doesn’t even sputter. Closest Husqvarna dealer that would answer their phone is like 4 hours away. Any idea what it could be?this is the first issue I’ve had with the bike it has 7200 miles on it and I bought it with 6800 last year. Any help is appreciated.
  5. This summer I bought a 2019 CRF450R brand new. I rode every weekend all summer long and now that awful time of year where the bikes get put away and the snow starts to fly has come. I’m new with all of this and so I have a few questions about the maintenance I should be doing while the bike is down. I have already flushed the coolant with distilled water and added engine ice, I have done an oil and filter change, I have replaced the chain, and I have made sure that my sag is set to where it needs to be. Is there anything else I should consider doing over the winter to make sure that my bike is ready to go in the spring? Should I store it with gas, oil, and coolant in it? I know it’s probably dumb questions but I am very new at this and am trying to maintain my bike to the best of my ability. Thank you
  6. I found a used Husky TE 610 in my area but I don’t know a lot about them. The mileage concerns me but it seems to have a solid history. I wanted to know your thoughts? I have a good running dr350 so I don’t need this but it seems like a great bike, I also like the aftermarket additions. Thanks!
  7. Decided to try a Dirt Tricks sprocket and was interested in the weight difference between different types, here's what i got. All sprockets are 50T OEM KTM/Husky Aluminum-- 321 grams; 11.3 oz -- time until worn 45 hrs Dirt Tricks Zirconium Steel -- 557 grams; 19.6 oz Vortex Steel -- 911 grams; 32.1 oz -- time until worn 97 hours I define "worn" as having a discernable "bend" on the teeth, and being able to expose at least half of the sprocket tooth by pulling on the chain at the rear of the sprocket. The steel Vortex sprocket definitely outlasted the OEM aluminum sprocket, but at the cost of 590 grams/20.8 oz, or 2.83 times the weight. The dirt tricks is 236 grams/8.3 oz heavier than the OEM aluminum sprocket, or 1.73 times the weight. Time will tell how the dirt tricks will hold up, i'd like to see it run for 150 hours to consider it a good deal considering price, weight, and looks (bling factor)

  9. Hi everyone. Here is my question. Looking to buy one bike that I can ride trails, vet moto, some single track...northeast rocky terrain. 5'10" 185 lbs...43 years old. Used to( 20 years ago) race mx and harescrambles on a yz125. Recently I have ridden a Yz250 (2005) a 18 xcf250, and a 19 sxf350. The 350 was on a moto track, the 250's were on trails. The 2T definitely had much more instant snap to lift the wheel, ect. Will "fun" ride much more than moto. So many choices, so many videos watched. My top (I think) choices are a Husky/ Ktm300 2Tpi, Yz250x, Beta 200rr factory race, maybe even a YZ125x or ktm 150 tpi...like the Ktm 500xcw, not against 4 strokes at all......a friend also has a sweet Crf450rx for sale....Ideas? I saw videos with ktm150tpi s even having fun on moto.....confused!! Thanks!!!
  10. Hey guys, looking for some advice on on getting my tc250 going. Any input is appreciated as I’m beginning to run out of ideas. long story but I want to give as much detail as possible. 2014 tc 250 3rd owner was told bike had around 10-20 hrs. All original plastic and tires. Cases barely has any rubbing. I put another 60 hrs on the bike all woods riding and started encountering fouled spark plugs. Adjusted the needle position to lean it out and that solved my issues last summer. Bike sat over winter and was only started once a month but would start normal. I added an fmf shorty slip on and the bike continuted to run well if not better than stock. Then I added a steahly flywheel weight. Rode the bike about 2 hrs then could not get bike to start back up. Tried to bump start bike a few times with no luck. After kicking a few more times I got the bike to start but it was bogged and unresponsive when turning the throttle. Played with air mix and idle screws but had no luck so I shut off the bike for the day and couldn’t start it again. I have fresh gas and 60:1 ratio motorex. I checked the flywheel weight and it looks good and in position with no rubbing on the cover. I removed the stock washer as instructions stated and torqued to spec. It appears the flywheel is still passing the sensor at top dead center also. I thought I had carb issues again so I bought a jd jet kit and carb rebuild. Replaced jets float needle and gaskets. set air fuel mix to 1-1/4 turn out as jd instructed. Bike still doesn’t start. I keep trying to kick and adjust air mix for a few hours on every setting but no luck. Also checked the reeds and they looked ok too. I noticed my map selector switch wire ripped and became disconnected. From my research online the bike should still run but be in map 2. By looking at the map switch and wiring I would agree that’s how it appears. To work but correct me if I’m wrong on this. Kill switch looks to be operating normal. Air filter has 2-4 hrs on it. I checked spark plug and it’s making spark. Compression at 150psi. I took the header pipe off to look at the side of the piston. Some light scoring but overall looks ok still. Top of piston looks very black with a lot of carbon buildup. Can carbon buildup affect starting? Any input is appreciated and I’ll update as I try other ideas. thank you!! -LL
  11. I went out riding and my bike started to run like crap. it was bogging down horribly then would act normal again it did this several times. when I was trying to limp the bike back I lost all power and wasnt even able to kick start it. So i thought that my stator went bad. when i got home checked for spark and i did have spark i ohmed out the stator and everything was in spec. does anyone have an idea what could cause this? still cant get the bike to even act like its going to start.
  12. Just picked up a TX300i, don’t have my owners manual and would like input from the community anyways. What PSI should I be running the air forks at? I weigh 220 without gear, 6’ tall. Mostly single track riding, moderate jumps, not bootin her. Looking for to soak up the rough stuff and smooth through the corners, thanks guys.
  13. I have a 2019 CRF450R Next year my riding buddies and I are planning a trip to silver lake sand dunes. I have had many people tell me not to go on my regular tire and buy a paddle tire. When looking at the paddle tires I see there are options for six, eight, and ten cup tires. What is the difference between these? How many cups should I go with for my bike?
  14. So I recently picked up a nice looking 2017 Husqvarna TC 125. I read that it's typically a good idea to do a top end whenever you buy a new two-stroke, so while I was waiting on a few other new parts to show up, I decided it would be a good idea to check whether the piston was 54.54mm, 54.55mm, or 54.56mm. Well, either Husqvarna was experimenting with a larger bore to stroke ratio for the 2017 TC 125s, or someone put a 150cc big bore kit on this bike and sold is as a stock TC 125. Hmmm... It might be the latter. Okay, since this is my fist two-stroke, I have a few questions: 1) Will any 2017 KTM 150sx top end kit fit this big bore kit. 2) Are the plug and piston face supposed to be that black? 3) Do TC 125 big bore kits cause any engine/reliability issues that I should know about?
  15. I found a used JD Fuel Controller for a 17 through 19 ktm 500 exc. Will this be compatible with my 2018 Husqvarna fe 350? https://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/JD-Fuel-Controller-17-19-KTM-EXC-500-_35676936
  16. Should I get 2017 fc 250 or a 2016 350 I’m pretty torn between the two. And I’m not to sure what other people have to say about the two
  17. Hello fellow friends and riders alike. I recently joined the Air Force and sold my Honda shadow before going to basic. I am not in California and wishing I never sold it. I raced motocross and I’m used to wrenching on a bike as doing my own mods. I want a SUPERMOTO ish bike that I can mess with. I’m trying to decide what kind of bike I should get. Right now I’m leaning toward the drz400sm but I feel like that’s to mainstream..... I’d like something I don’t HAVE to make street legal to ride. Aka: something I don’t need to mess with the title to get plates in California. Just looking for a fun bike to wrench on when I’m not wrenching on big planes! Suggestions would be very helpful!!! I used to own a wr250f and a 86’ Xl600r. I’m about 190 and looking for a bit of fun that the wife won’t think will kill me in the end!
  18. Hello, I just bought a husqvarna sm125s. I am unable to rev out first and second gear, it bogs down and it sounds like its maybe hitting a Rev limiter? The bike runs good, and revs out in the rest of the gears. Its only in first and second gear i am having problems? What could be the reason for this? The tps sensor is not connected, i dont know if that is an issue as it runs good in the rest of the gears. sorry for bad english.
  19. HI, I am new owner of SM 701, 2021 with european emission standards -Euro 5. Can I install a silencer dedicated to older (euro3 or 4) models in my motorcycle? Is there any risk of damage / incompatibility? e.g. this one: https://www.genialmotor.it/en/exhau...husqvarna-701-supermoto-2017-2019-100372.html I have a welder, grinder and other simple tools :), so fit is not a challenge for me if pipes and connectors will be different. But my concern is whether after installation will it be safe for the engine / exhaust system? Thx
  20. my bike sat for a couple months and now it wont fire up. It still cranks. The fuel pump works i put a brand new injector in it and the injector is getting fuel. I also changed out the old gas and the spark plug. It is getting spark and it has compression. I don't know what else to do. And i don't know what else to do. and before you ask i checked the kill switch. But can someone please help.

  22. I currently own a 2013 crf250l in California and am ready to sell it to buy something that still is street legal but with a little more beef and less weight for desert riding, I have seen a plated xr400 for sale for 1800$ and was wondering if that will satisfy my needs. thank you. EDIT: Also just found a 1999 plated YZ400f for 2500$ And a 2000 WR400 for 1800$ too PS Almost got a 2012 TE310 for 3300$ but the owner decided to keep it and I am pretty sure that would have been perfect for me.
  23. Helping a friend with a 2014 TC 250 that wont start. We noticed the map switch wire was damaged. My first thought is that wouldn't have anything to do with it not starting, but after him changing and checking everything under the sun, that and a top end are the only things left to change. Anyone have experience with this? Bike wont start because of map switch wire damaged??
  24. So I’m picking up a new 2020 husky 701sm soon and am wondering what’s some stuff it needs or will improve the aesthetics and or power. Ive already ordered a slip on for it. But what else 🤔
  25. Recently cracked the right side of my crankcase and I haven’t been able to find a new one. Anyone know any sites that sell oem parts or just the right side of the case?
