On my 04 yz450f I picked up a few weeks ago. I've noticed when I'm in fourth gear hitting the highest of the gear I get a lobe or slight cut out of my engine. I've been a heavy equipment mechanic for most of my life, I'm new to dirt bikes, is this what floating the valves feels like? Do I need to jet it? Carb adjustments? I typically ride from 6500ft to 8000ft elevation. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi guys, I need to fit a tether kill switch on my crf450r 2009. Just wonder if anyone could shed some light on how I need to fit this as the standard kill switch on the bike has four wires (2 for the MIL light I guess). The one I have only has two, so which wires do I have to cut into in order for it to work? The 4th wire we don't see in the picture is the black one. Thanks a lot! Sam

440Dave posted a topic in Husqvarna 4 StrokeI've been riding and racing my 2006 Honda CRF450R for a few years, got really used to it and plan to keep it, but my wife got me a 2015 Husky 450 for my birthday. I love the monstrous power, had the suspension all done so it handles nice, but at the track its a handful to control because of the sensitive throttle. More than once I've put it away after morning practice and brought out the trusty honda, because I'm just plain faster on a bike thats not trying to get away from me every time it hits a bump. I can hold the honda throttle steady through pretty much anything, the husky is just the opposite. I notice that the husky throttle has a lot lighter 'twist', and wondering if its possible to just put a little heavier throttle return spring on the husky.
