  1. That’s &%$#@! up ..... And that’s &%$#@! up So as you can see my first rebuild has come to a halt just as I was buttoning it up as I was going to install the stator and saw that I installed the crank backward.... yup ... and the engine is torqued and red loctite’d to the frame .... yup... I did that. So I’m just wondering what parts I should replace to be safe or if I can just rip it apart flip the crank throw in a new gasket and call it a night? Thanks for any advice guys I feel real dumb right now lol

  3. Hello Everyone, I'm doing some work to my 06 CR250 after it was decommissioned due to a broken spoke and flat rear tire. I tried to install a steahly fww a few weeks back and had trouble getting the weight to fully thread. I'd put the cover on thinking it was completely screwed in (yes i had the spacer gasket on) and tried to kick over the bike, but the motor was seized. I came to realize that the fww was stuck against the cover of the motor. Reached out to steahly and they seemed to think either the flywheel or the fww had damaged threads prior to the install or i crossthreaded the weight. They offered to repair my flywheel for free if i sent it out to them (that's some kick ass customer service if you ask me). Anyways, let me get to the point. Removing the flywheel was fairly straight forward with the flywheel puller. My only concern is I have no idea how to install the flywheel and I can't seem to find any how-to vids on the web. Can anyone help me out? I'm sure it can be that difficult!
  4. Just curious if the Xtrainer grips are two parts (hard cap on the end) or do I need to drill out the ends to install wrap-around hand guards? Thx! --Joel
  5. Well I just completed the install of a TST fender eliminator kit with integrated tail light on my 2017. Thought I would post some pictures and thoughts. First things first, I would definitely by this product again if I had to do it over. Packaging, price, and shipping time were all great. The kit seems well built and high quality as well. Only a few minor issues I ran into on install. The company does not send directions rather they have youtube videos of install. (high quality videos too and that I like). Its nice to be able to watch someone do it and pause when needed. Unfortunately they do not have any videos for the 2017 models and installation is different from the earlier models that they are using for their videos. Once again not that big of a deal but something to note. There are just a few more wires to plug in and you have to find the relay flasher. My biggest complaint is that the bracket to hold brake light on that bolts to the frame with two bolts does not exactly fit. I had to grind out one of the bolt eyes in order to get both bolts to fit into frame. I contacted the company to let them know ( they were super quick to respond by the way) and they let me know they were aware of this issue and it was due to some different weld tolerances on 2017 model. I was a little aggravated when they said they were aware of this problem and it is not noted anywhere when ordering for a 2017. It wasn't that bad of a fix, took a metal file and shaved some metal off the bracket. As stated earlier I am still super pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it. Just note a few things extra to do when ordering for a 2017. The LED brake light is super bright as well.
  6. I have a 1984 Xr250r and I am currently re-assembling the engine after installing a new crank. I am having trouble installing the kickstart correctly as the manual doesn’t do a very good job of explaining the process. If someone could explain how to correctly install it that would be great, thanks!
