  1. Just bought a 2000 KX 250 two-stroke for a great deal when looking for a project bike. When I put the bike in neutral which is a little hard to find, it jumps into first gear by itself and trys to takeoff no matter if I squeeze the clutch lever or not. When I first started the bike it basically did a burnout in my garage with no throttle applied and the clutch lever pressed then it just stalls out eventually this happened for about five seconds. Attached are some pictures of my clutch disk and clutch basket from what I researched today the basket should not look this bad , but do you guys think? Is the clutch the source of my problems or is it something internal and would I need to split the case.
  2. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran AMAZING after it first bought it used and was in beautiful condition and I picked it up for only 2500. I was riding when all of a sudden it started bogging down right before the power band.i don’t think it’s jetting because the bogging just turned on like a switch and it was running perfect before it. The bike was like that for a month. Apparently the previous owner never oiled the filter so it was dry as a rock and was falling apart and got sucked into to the intake so I’m guessing my power valve is gummed up or stuck close or open. I was riding one day with the bog issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb,checked the reeds,and tried hill starting it but nothing. When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies.I don’t remember if I left the fuel petcock on but what I’m guessing is that I flooded the engine and tried starting which messed up my electronics.The reason why I think I flooded the Engine is because when I took off the reeds the intake manifold and reed were soaked in gas.I heard that starting the engine while flooded can mess with a woodruff key or your CDI or something. There is spark coming from the plug though.And yes I mix the gas with oil at 32:1 cause I’m in the pipe all the time.This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.

Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb,checked the reeds,and tried hill starting it but nothing .When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies.There is spark coming from the plug though.I took the cylinder off and the piston and cylinder are &%$#@!ed.The piston rings were stuck in the grooves and I had to use pliers and a screwdriver to get it out.There was a ton of blow-by and the cylinder was scored.I bought a new piston already but how can I fix my cylinder.Im thinking of getting it repaired and replayed by either millennium,PowerSeal USA, or usnicom.This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.

I thought buying my second used dirt-bike will take time but fun !?? :/ , and it turns-out to be supper hard / embarrassing. totall of 12 bikes I have tried . all of them looked reasonable/nice in the pictures and according to the owner they were good in body/engine/gearbox/chassis. I put time and energy to go on the spot !!? and mosst of the time i found obvious problems that they didnt mention on the announce or telephone chat . what pissed me off was that some of them just looked at my eyes and told me : sir , trust me , noting is wrong and you are mistaking . Here i want to share 4 of the worse bikes / situations i got into. 1. a 2006 yamaha 450 : i found the bike was not the same as the picture and actually the owner had used photoshop to make bike look Awesome :/ + the engine smoke blue and many other things (it costing me 3hour to go there and get back) 2. 3 young boys which had a KTM 400 , they trie to convincing that everything is ok and this problem are normal and nothing to worry . it have every possible electronic device failure + damage to gearbox and leaking a little oil . and they seems super worry about something , they said they are above 20 !? which they didnt show me any ID card . and my impression was that they might be under 18 and asked them for the permission which they hadn't ( + 2hour ). 3. 2014 kawazaki kx450f : the owner said that he have the receipt for piston and all other maintenance . on the spot he change his word and say i have receipt for the parts on my computer , and i asked to see it and finally there was no receipt . But what worries me was that they have other motorbike(moped/scooter) around the garage in which key ignition /lock switch was destroyed and bypassed with wiring . 4. 2013 KTM 450 Factory edition in superb condition( in picture ) . as soon as the add was up , i called him and tried to be the first one on the spot . and guess what !?!!!! the pictures were from the first months that he had bought it . and the bike was a crap even parts of plastic kit were missing :/ , dead batterri and cant start the engine as well. but hopefully i found a nice CRF450R, that every thing worked and does not seems to have any obvious problem . and finally i bought it yesterday (i hope it dont make me disappointed ) .

Hi , i am interested to buy a kx250 , the owner mention that the bike is totally fine and piston changed 20hours ago . the only thing that need to be done is rearbrake . is this bike worth buying !? it will cost me 1800$ and another 200$ for fixing the brake (totall 2000$). are Kawasaki good 2stoke bike compare to suzuki or yamaha !?
