  1. Hi, I have a 2005 kx 85 and I’m looking to but I different shock for it and I was wondering if a shock off of a 2006 would fit? So if any one knows anything it would be greatly appreciated as i need to buy it very soon. Thanks in advance, Caden.
  2. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran AMAZING after it first bought it used and was in beautiful condition and I picked it up for only 2500. I was riding when all of a sudden it started bogging down right before the power band.i don’t think it’s jetting because the bogging just turned on like a switch and it was running perfect before it. The bike was like that for a month. Apparently the previous owner never oiled the filter so it was dry as a rock and was falling apart and got sucked into to the intake so I’m guessing my power valve is gummed up or stuck close or open. I was riding one day with the bog issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb,checked the reeds,and tried hill starting it but nothing. When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies.I don’t remember if I left the fuel petcock on but what I’m guessing is that I flooded the engine and tried starting which messed up my electronics.The reason why I think I flooded the Engine is because when I took off the reeds the intake manifold and reed were soaked in gas.I heard that starting the engine while flooded can mess with a woodruff key or your CDI or something. There is spark coming from the plug though.And yes I mix the gas with oil at 32:1 cause I’m in the pipe all the time.This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.
  3. I bought a 2010 KX250f from a guy who bought the bike brand new back in 2010 (only had 1 owner). The guy put a high compression piston in this bike. Also he was pretty much running straight race gas because when he took it to the shop, they must have messed with the jets because they weren’t stock anymore. I got new jets. Currently at...........………Pilot Jet - 42. Main Jet 185 I’ve messed with my air screw and tried a few things out but I still have to kick my bike like 30 times before it finally starts! The piston is supposed to be high compression but it doesn’t feel that way. I’m thinking of just replacing it and going back to stock??? Any thoughts? Ive read that valve clearance is an issue with this year bike... Also that Kawis need a little throttle when you kick. It ends up flooding every time. Send help please!!
  4. I have a 2014 kx250f and the button for my launch control is broken. It isnt the plastic piece for it its the actually rubber part that you push to engage the button. Is there anyway I can just find the button part with out the wires or anything? I've found the OEM part for like 100$ but it comes with the wires and everything.
  5. Hey guys, I am a new owner of a 2006 KLX 250. Friend just gave it to me, I would never pay for something as gutless as this bike. But, what can be done? For a 4 stroke it has no low end power at all. Is the bike worth dumping money into in the long run? Will sprockets help I heard people were throwing on 13T in the front. Heard about jetting but what jet sizes? I read that a fmf header and pipe and snorkel can be more a problem with too much air??? I saw people throwing on ejk's but I looked them up and they are for 2008-current. Can this bike show any balls? Where can I locate and remove the tampon in this Kawasaki? This bike seems to run and stay pretty damn hot, is that normal?

  8. I have come across a KX125 in boxes, it has a 98 frame and i believe a 98 motor as well. I started to assembly everything and have found that instead of an engine number on the cases, it is stamped KX125 FMF 909. This is in the exact location that the engine number is located on my other KX125. Does anyone know if FMF and 909 once teamed up to build 125's? Either for factory riders or just engine builds in general? It also has a Factory Connection state cover. The top end was not included so i am guessing that was taken off before being sold. I know factory bikes have a lot of special parts removed before sold. The bike also has a newer electronic controlled Carb and I know they did not have any electrical going into the carb for years after 98'. It also has a custom wire harness with an aftermarket injection control until with a 3 different settings to change. I basically just trying to find out if FMF and 909 once built factory bikes, or if this is just a massively modified KX 125. Thanks in advance.
