  1. I recently installed a 165cc tb big bore on my 2007 klx110 and also the 28mm carb the bike bogs super bad when you give it about 3/4 throttle any advice on what size jets I should run would be great if you need additional info I’ll gladly reply thanks in advance. Or if not jets what else could be the problem.
  2. Hey fellas, I recently picked up a 2010 klx110l that has seen a rougher life to say the least. Other than looking like it has been on its side 1000 times it starts and runs pretty well. I'm an old two stroke guy so these four stroke pitters are pretty new to me. I noticed right after I picked it up that it just doesn't like to be goosed from an idle. When you crank the throttle from an idle it bogs and almost dies. Upon further inspection I found that the gas in the tank was bad and after tearing the carb apart found a little bit of gunk in the bowl. I cleaned all of the jets and the carb body as good as I could and it still does the same thing. I am aware these bikes don't have an accelerator pump, but this much bog just doesn't seem normal. The bike is 100% stock and has fresh fluids and a fresh air filter. Any leads to the problem would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi all, I have a completely stock 2005 Suzuki drz110 (same thing as a klx110) and it is running way to rich. It wont idle at all but will hang before it dies. It puffs a little bit of black smoke too. It always starts 1st kick and has decent power. Jets are stock at 35 pilot and 80 main. playing with the idle and fuel screws don`t do anything. Spark plug is black but it doesn't foul plugs. checked all around engine for air leaks with carb and choke cleaner and have found none. Air filter is clean and valves were just adjusted. Im out of things to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Luke
  4. I have a 2009 klx 110 with a totaled engine and I'm wondering what type of engine I could replace it with. I've searched but only found engines for Honda crf 50's and cant find any that would hook up to a klx 110 frame. And before you say fix the current motor, the transmission is garbage, engine blew up so it also needs a top end rebuild, and both the engine cases have been broken with pieces missing. This happened because the slot where the Kickstarter shaft went into the case broke inside the engine and someone continued to run it while a chunk of the engine case was bouncing around inside. Also I'm wondering if they sell a kit where I could mount brackets on the frame to put a motor made for the Honda engines.
  5. I'm wondering what tires these are cuz I want some like them for my klx 110.
  6. Hello My son's klx110 is running rough. It has a 143cc big bore kit...also has the bigger carb after the big bore kit was put on. Ran great. After that the big bore froze up. We put on a new big bore kit with the upgraded race head. Since then I have had an issue dialing in the carb. I have tried moving the clip and everything. A mechanic got it as close as he could...also tried different jets but would only run well without the air filter on. At one point it ran really well but at idle if you gave it some gas it would bog down....not sure what the setting were at that point. Do I need a bigger carb? If so, which one? Any other advice or recommendations? Thanks
  7. I am trying to decide if this trade is worth it or not, need to know in the next couple hours. My completely mint 2008 klx110 with bbr lift, bark busters, full fmf, etc. for a 1986 Honda TLR200 Reflex. The tlr is stock and is mechanically sound, road legal, but looks a bit rough. Any help would be much appreciated.
  8. Making my 2010 klx 110L street legal. I have few question's and maybe someone could help me. I want the top speed to go up more.. It has the 4th gear an the clutch i wanna know what size jets i can go with a stock motor. Got a two bros air filter bo exhaust tho... I k ow i need one but what else can i do? What size sprockets aswell. Thank you for reading.
  9. March 2016 I bought my first motorbike A CRF50 May 2016 I moved to a 2.5acre block and started creating jumps for my level of riding I really tried to make the most of the natural features that were hidden beneath the grass/weeds but I really just ended up adding to a worm line that we constantly rode and added lip to sections that we saw fit. Straight / last corner First Jump Sandy burm Exit burm, minor woops into second jump Second Jump followed by small burm Small lip into into uneven decent into the last burm/beginning Perhaps this is a good start for a youngster on his/her first bike I failed to mention that I was born in 1995. This track was fun to start with but it was not long until this simply wasn't enough I started to build this line which opposed the direction of the original track. But the idea was to jump this, hit the small burm and then go onto hit a big jump.. But I got distracted by what I accidentally created. A little dodgy I know, this is the creation of when you can no longer be bothered digging and use random items to fill the gaps. Imagining is a great thing to do and to visualize is even better ! I took photos of my jumps and drawn on them with my smart phone. Little did I know this was going to be the most crashed jump of my life (so far) This was the beginning of my laziest effort. Pallet down ramp. These are pretty great if done well. -Level the area for stable stacking of pallets -Use pallets to fill most of desired down ramp space. -Then put any type of thick wood on top (helps spread the load and not crack pallets) -Then carpet so soil doesn't fall through the cracks -Last add soil/clay and lots of it ! I learnt the hard way (not the greatest effort on the jump but it puts the size in perspective a little) This jump quickly became our favourite And the little track quickly got forgotten and over grown. My lust for a bigger and greater jump and had clouded my mind... And with bigger jumps you soon require a bigger bike and this is when I upgraded to the KLX110L 2016 My stupidness resulted in this creation It stood at about 6ft And shook in the breeze After the result of poor pallet down ramp I realised making these sketchy jumps is dangerous and requires a lot of maintenance. So I contacted a lot of earth moving companies. And tried finding companies that were working on clay sites. This was free for me and should be for you. Each load of dirt 15-20t costs roughly $450 to dump in some parts of Australia. So I offered free dumping within my yard, I get dirt for jumps and they save a lot of money, win win. My first load arrived, roughly 17t of dirt.... it sounds like a lot but it really is not. I got these big crate boxes from work and screwed a door across the top of them to help spread the load. The crates are only there to try and save anybody that is lacking the correct speed. Progress was slow, but I needed to move this first load up against the crates as much as possible to allow the track to back in closer to the pallets. When I cant be bothered digging or don't have the dirt. I like to visualize what it will be like in the end Finally destroyed the old ramp and created a new one with the most desired material. That's what 4 days afterwork of my digging looks like (4 hours a night), worth the giant blisters This is about 22-26ft jump which is a good/fun size I believe. This is currently where I am at but I do think my plans are pretty great This is the plan for the future Apologies for not numbering the above photo The yellow jump with the 16 beside it is my pallet jump which is jump #1 And the second large jump of 21ft is the orange one that follows and that is jump #2 From now I ask that you use your imagination and hopefully can figure out which ones are which in regards to the following images. This one is Jump # 3 Note the burm will not swing around the tree and go to the left. This will be a bit of a hip and send you into a right hand turn quickly followed by a left as shown on the birds eye view. #4 is going to be a pretty hectic step down that I am already scared of the idea ! #5 is going to be a 25ft hip #6 is going to be roughly a 20ft triple (rollable) #7 will be a 17-18ft tabletop #8 and #9 need to swap as I think double-table-double would flow a lot nicer rhythm wise.... #11 a good sized triple roughly 18ft Into a hopefully very vertical burm Then into a +20ft hip to finish it off through the trees Hope you've enjoyed this read so far. I will keep you updated with the progression of the rest of the track. Please feel free to give me tips (other than spelling) in regards to the track and ideas. Cheers Jackson
  10. I have a klx110 pro circuit. and the exhaust is cracked right above the foot peg, I was wondering if its still okay to ride it? I`ve seen people ride without an exhaust so I thought it was okay. ( I do stunts on it so I'm kind of concerned if I should continue riding it )
  11. Had a different style intro, I had fun with it. Not sure if people will like it but let me know! I'll be posting more KLX stuff in the future
  12. Hi Was wondering if anyone had some advise on setting timing on this machine. I know the manual says not to turn the crankshaft but keep it at the timing marks. However, the front gear has timing marks. I feel like I need to move the cam around to get my rocker arms loose to get the camshaft out. The shaft is very tight not sure how to get it out. I wanted to clean up the valves and put new seals in. So then I want to make sure I'm not screwing up my timing. Do I just follow the front gear timing marks or does the valves need to be in a certain position? thanks for any help.
  13. Ok so I'm about to sell my Klx 125 and my clutch seems to lately have not been engaging like it should. its as if its pushing on the pressure plate but not far enough to let the clutch plates spin freely. I can put the bike in Neutral and it acts just fine but when I put it in gear and hold the clutch in, there is a lot of resistance when I try to move the bike back and forth. (the wheels aren't completely locked as if it were in gear but its very hard to move) I have had to adjust the pushrod one other time because it was doing the same thing. I've used all the adjustment in the clutch cable and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. I have also tried to rotate the pushrod lever to take more slack out of the cable. Before I open up the crankcase and take the pressure plate off and adjust it internally I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas as to how to fix it otherwise I'll just open it up and adjust the amount the pushrod sticks out. Any help would be great Thanks
  14. I have noticed a little puddle of oil from time to time leaking down my kickstand and gathering at the base. Is this a side gasket or a seal of some kind? Appreciate any help!

I have a 2003 klx 110 disassembled from the frame and scattered about. Been sitting for a few years and looks to most all be there but who knows. I just bought another pit bike and now I want to teach myself and rebuild the kawi. From what I've read its recommended over buying a Chinese motor. I've already got a copy of the service/owners manual. I was just wondering if anybody knows of any good step by step videos that will show me everything and help me out to use along with the manual? The engine itself is not totally tore down yet just the gear shifter has fallen out I think? I want to take it apart piece by piece and see what I need and what it may be missing? any help or references at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  17. Just bought a 2019 KLX110 and there are plenty of searchable post, but none with pictures. These might help those confused by text only posts. This is the stock airbox This is the "snorkel" that draws air in from the top rail of the frame tube. Remove the snorkel 90 degree rubber part and bolt the airbox back on. This is a look from the other side with the gas tank lifted where the snorkel turn towards the back of the frame tube. This is the side to mark the hole from. I used a silver sharpie. The hole you cut in the airbox where the snorkel was should be the same as the frame hole it lays against. I scored the flat edges with a dremel flat blade Then 45 degree cut inside the lines and popped the section out. Using a dremel round stone I made the curves roughly Filed the edges smooth, buffed with a dremel felt round pad. This is the finished product bolted in place with the back hole matching the frame hole. Now it can draw more air and directly across from the airbox. I installed this twin air filter I got from Amazon via some powersports store. Time to rejet and put spacers on the needle! I purchased the wrong size jets, but the shim washers were spot on (#2 size), I used one to raise the needle, and drilled the exhaust to 5/8" Much more power, but a slight hesitation off the bottom I can fix with jetting, air screw adjustments, and needle shims. As it sits it has strong bottom/mid, slight upper power missing that will be tuned with a larger main jet. Definitely worth the hour it took to do it. I will post a brief exhaust drilling picture post as well. This is just the way most recommendations suggested. The more tuning you want to do, the more you could allow additional air or exhaust flow. I did not want to overstep without seeing what the results were first with this mod.
  18. im looking to buy a 2007 110. the guy i pan to buy it from said it is locking up. i thought it would need a top end jug and piston and rings. so i gave him a call and he said it runs when cold and it does not smoke. so the rings most be good. and then he says it stalls and bogs out and he cant start it unless he lets it sit until it is cold. what is this bikes problem. i had a ttr 125 that ran great for 15 min and then bog out and would not start. the gas cap did not have a hole in it it had been rusted shut so i cleaned it and the bike ran great for hours no problems. could this bike have a similar problem.
  19. My dirt bike was driven daily no issues besides petcock leaking a little gas and one day It quit running while I was riding it and started acting up the next day I tried and it would start but it wouldn't idle I would have to rev it high to stay running and it would backfire real bad this was a couple months ago anyone know what could be the issue if so let me know please gonna look at it tomorrow thank you in advance
  20. I recently bought an 05 klx110 pretty cheap because it had a bad countershaft seal leak. I ordered the seal, collar and o-ring from rockymountainatvmc. When I installed the parts, the seal went in very loose, like it just sits in there. There's no way it's going to seal. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I know I ordered the correct part number. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be pecked in ...with a little bit of force. Any thoughts?
