  1. Which helmet should I get, Bell moto 9 carbon flex or 6d atr-2?
  2. Hi all, I have a 2004 kx 250 2 stroke and it wont start. it only backfires. I was out riding it one day and came up to a stop so the bike was just idling and it started to try and die so i revved it up a few times then let it die and now it wont start back up. It only pops or backfires when you kick it. Its getting good spark and i just put a brand new plug and coil in it. I took the reeds apart and they look like they're brand new. It was running great before so i dont know what happened. Im thinking it could be a fuel problem even tho the plug is a little wet if you take it out after a bunch of kicking. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
  3. I bought a kx 250 a couple months back was told it was a 1997 i looked up the vin on the frame and it was a 1992. I didn't mind because regardless i had gotten 250 bucks off anyway. I rebuilt it and did the clutch but the gasket kit i bought for a 1992 kx 250 was not right at all so i bought a different one and that one wasnt right. Basically is there a way i can look up what year my engine is i tried typing in the engine vin and it didnt work. Thanks!
  4. Hi all, Have a problem here that I need sorted by tomorrow night. Let me just say that the bike (2010 kx250f) was running like a dream (well, maybe a little lean) before any of this happened. Recently the throttle cable snapped which prompted me to replace it, no biggie. I had been running without a hotstart since I had bought the bike last year so I decided to replace it along side the throttle repair. The bike came with no lever for the hotstart and I presumed that the cable was snapped (which it was). I bought a replacement cable and lever, no hassle. I pulled the tank off the bike to access the carb to replace the cable. I unscrewed the plastic screw that sits over the hotstart. There was no little brass cylinder (not sure if this is the plunger) or spring on the end of the cable or in this screw. There was no point in replacing the cable since I hadn't got the brass cylinder or spring so I left it while i fixed the throttle cables. I have now seemingly lost the black plastic screw leaving a little nipple like rubbery thing sticking out of hotstart port in the carb. I am presuming that this is the plunger which should be pushed into itself rather than sticking out. I didn't think of it as much of an issue at the time, but now with the bike back together, the carb is pissing out fuel, from what I think is the float overflow tube, every time I turn the fuel flow valve to open. I can now not get the bike started.. The only reason I can think of this happening is because the little rubber nipple is sticking out of the carb. Can anyone confirm this or have any quick fixes that I can use? I cannot for the life of me find the plastic screw and will not be able to get one by Sunday Below on the right, is a picture of the black plastic screw I was talking about.
  5. Any idea what bike I should get I want something fast I'm 5'8 125 pounds and 13 years old
  6. Hi guys i have some questions and would appreciate any help you guys may have. I have a 1998 yz 250 ive had for a few years thats been in the famliy for awile. I am doing a ground up redo on it this winter. Im geting a used frame because the one i have dosent have a title so i figured wile im at it ill get a 1998/1997 wr 250 frame so i can make it street legal. I know the 98 wr 250 wasent introduced in the us but the 97 was and the yz 250 is the same bike from 96 to 98. So my question is are the wr 250s the same ? Could i find a 97 wr250 frame and swap everything from my 98 yz 250 to it ? I wont realy ride it on the street much considering its not the best bike for commuting (by far) lol, but i figure if im geting another frame with a title miswell be able to throw my street tires on it and rip some twistes with it if i want to. Thanks for any help.
  7. So I'm looking for some pivot levers for my clutch and hand brake on my '99 KX 250, I found these ones on amazon that say they will fit an '00 to '04 kx250, do you guys think these would fit my '99? if not do you know any that I can buy online, Im looking for green ones specifically, Thanks. https://www.amazon.com/MZS-2000-2017-2001-2017-2000-2005-2000-2004/dp/B01E6XQDFM/ref=wl_mb_wl_huc_mrai_1_dp
  8. Hi, I have a 2005 kx 85 and I’m looking to but I different shock for it and I was wondering if a shock off of a 2006 would fit? So if any one knows anything it would be greatly appreciated as i need to buy it very soon. Thanks in advance, Caden.
  9. Just bought a 2000 KX 250 two-stroke for a great deal when looking for a project bike. When I put the bike in neutral which is a little hard to find, it jumps into first gear by itself and trys to takeoff no matter if I squeeze the clutch lever or not. When I first started the bike it basically did a burnout in my garage with no throttle applied and the clutch lever pressed then it just stalls out eventually this happened for about five seconds. Attached are some pictures of my clutch disk and clutch basket from what I researched today the basket should not look this bad , but do you guys think? Is the clutch the source of my problems or is it something internal and would I need to split the case.
  10. I´ll keep it short, i want to spend about $3000 on a 125 used 2t bike. Should i consider buying one from around 2006-10 for like $2000 and sticking money into it, assuming its going to needs a new top end, pegs, levers etc. Or do i go with a more expensive bike thats maybe a little newer and not spending a ton on it. if i were to go with a bike that was a little older, what brands and years were known to be pretty good? i think with a newer bike id go with a 2015+ yz125 anybody got any ideas?
  11. So I converted a 1994 KX 250 into a flat track bike. I recently changed to a modern front Flat track tire that is 135 mm wide and this is causing some slight rubbing to the lower portion of the upper fork tube. Does anyone know if there are any triple clamps that I could bolt woth minor modifications that would make the forks slightly wider front center t oto center and be able to retain the stock forks? I only need maybe 4 to 8 mm I do know I could have custom ones made, but i hoped someone might know of a less costly solution, other option is to machine the forks, but I fear that I'll lose the interety of the structure... Any help would be appreciated Thank you
  12. I just bought a 2003 kx250 a few weeks ago. The guy I bought it from said he dropped the bike on it's side, and after that, the front brakes would "act up," but after feeling them, I figured they would just need bled and would be fine. After getting the bike home, I bled the brakes and realized that they weren't just mushy, but they would only grab on for a second before losing pressure, even while holding the lever all the way down. Sometimes they grab a lot harder for a lot longer, but they mostly just squeeze for a quick second. Also, when attempting to bleed the brakes for the third time, I realized that every time I pulled the brake lever, bubbles would rise from the bottom of the reservoir, which I was thinking maybe meant the master cylinder was damaged causing it to pump air into the brake line, but I don't know. I don't really want to take my bike to a shop or to buy a whole new front brake setup, so any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks! (Edit: I've never dealt with dirt bike brakes, so this is all new to me)
  13. I am looking at getting my first dirt bike, I have ridden quads and have always wanted to ride bikes. Before people start sharing there opinions about 2 stroke vs 4, this is what I'm looking to get out of the bike. Something that is fun and easy to learn on, Period. Don't worry about maintenance costs or the "thrill" of 2 strokes etc... I originally though 2 stroke but my buddy has a 2 stroke kx250 and i felt like i was out of control every time time i gave more then a touch of throttle. Is this because I'm new to riding dirt bikes or is this a 2 stroke thing. I want something that is easy to control and I like what people say about the smooth power bands on the 4 strokes. Cheers, Kyler
  14. Hello! I am hoping to get some help with my 2006 KX250F. The problem is that it keeps blowing oil seals on the engine. I have checked the crank case breather tube and it is free of any sort of trash that may have built up between rides. I was it regularly. I have replaced most of the outer seals aside the valve cover gasket. Any suggestions would be a big help in attempting to solve my problem.
  15. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran amazing after it first bought it used. I was riding one day with a bogging issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb, checked the reeds, and tried hill starting it but nothing .When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies. There is spark coming from the plug though.I took the cylinder off and the piston and cylinder are &%$#@!ed.The piston rings were stuck in the grooves and I had to use pliers and a screwdriver to get it out. There was a ton of blow-by and the cylinder was scored.I bought a new piston already but how can I fix my cylinder.Im thinking of getting it repaired and replayed by either millennium,PowerSeal USA, or usnicom. This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.
  16. Hi everybody, anyone sells the Kawasaki kx fi calibration kit? software cd + connection harness. Thanks ✌️

Im debating between a Rm85 vs a Kx85 I know i can buy a kx100 or kx85 its just that i can buy a leftover 2020/2019 rm85 from a dealer for 3,800 some will say the rm's design and parts are not as modern and im not saying thats not true but i would be grateful and happy with either bike I would just like some advice or info from other people who have had both or one of them
  18. Hey so I recently bought a 2002 kx 125, bike is mint apart from the rear brake foot pedal being totally wrecked, I need a full new pedal with the tip springs but I can only seem to find the 2003 and up ones, wondering if an 03 rear brake pedal would be compatible with my 02 bike? Anyone know? Cheers 🙂
  19. Hi all, I have a 2012 kx250f. I recently thought I saw something weird in the coolant. I changed it about 10 minutes ago and found lots of these little flakes in the coolant. I think it’s metal, but not sure. They aren’t magnetic so if they are it’s aluminum. What can this be, and what are the causes if it is aluminum? Here’s a picture for reference.(it’s on the tip of my thumb) there were lots of these.
  20. I have a Voss helmet and really like it I was wondering if anyone else has experience with their products and what they think.

  22. I have a 2012 kx250f and it has a lot of bottom end power but hits rev limiter so fast it has a slow top speed and loses so much too end because of it. Any ideas if it is because of ecu or what it could be? Also i have a yoshimura PIM 2 tuner could that be the cause?
  23. Dose anybody know if a 1999 kx250 front wheel fit on the 2004 KX125
  24. I bought a 1985 KX125 for a $100. It’s in pieces but it’s all there. One thing I ran into is this cylinder. It’s scored on the inside. I think the top end blew up on this that’s why it’s apart. Wanna see what you guys think. Is it ok to where I can hone it out myself or should I send it out, I know a local place. My friend works on bikes a lot and he says it’s not too bad I could do either or. I’ve done a few cylinders so far so I know about the cross hatching and stuff. Spec size is 56.00mm
  25. Hello posting again about my 93 Kawasaki kx250 After disasembling the frame and suspension components to replace them, I was left with both outer races of the swingarm bearings still stuck in the swingarm. All the rest of the pieces of the bearing fell out when i pulled out the long bolt that held it to the frame. The issue is i cant seem to seperate the bearing races from the swingarm. Ive tried heat, pounding it out, using a impact socket of very similar diameter as the races to pound out and nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
