  1. Hello. My CRF450R 2011 have leaking (oil with coolant) from water pump drainage hole: I install new mechanical seal (7), oil seal (16) and new bearing (15): Filled new coolant and run my bike, all was fine, but after 15 minutes I got heavy coolant leaking: Disassembled again and noticed that "head" of mechanical seal is disconnected: What's can be wrong? Looks like problem with slight tightening (torque) (12 N/m) of impeller (part #6)? Sorry for my bad English.
  2. Please help! I recently bought a Yz250f and have not been able to start it, it Has spark, but there are many issues with the carby which I wanna rule out before I leap into a rebuild, ( I want to avoid a rebuild if possible as I’m low on cash). The carby at the moment is a complete mess so the usual steps to fixing it might not work. So here’s the deal with the carb: - It’s leaking fuel from overflow ( really fast! ) and when I mean really fast, I mean it emptied my fuel tank in 2 mins. - It has a slow leak coming from somewhere under the float bowl - the air fuel screw is not adjusted correctly - I don’t know if the electrics work on it either - I don’t even know if it’s shooting fuel into the cylinder or not, as after kicking it a couple times and it’s not starting I remove the spark plug and it’s still dry. ( I tried putting fuel directly into cylinder from the spark plug hole but the bike still wouldn’t start) okay so I know it’s a lot but I’m not expecting anyone to answer every single question themselves. If each person could tackle whatever problem they know it would help heaps. Also just want to know what Order to fix things in as I can’t do air fuel until the bike is running and it won’t run unless I stop the leaking and get it to spray fuel into the cylinder. And buying a new carby is not an option ( I’ve got $40 to my name atm). Please help guys thanks.
  3. Just tightened my valve lash to spec after having terrible clacking noise when idling. It would start before when cold with no choke at all but would click and clack when idling. But now, with the correct valve adjustment, the engine does not want to start. It will backfire and damn near break my foot so I know that it is definitely getting fuel. What is the best way to adjust the carburetors on these bikes? I know there is the large screw on the right side to adjust both of the slides for idle speed, but where is the air-fuel mixture screw on the carbs? I suspect this is my issue now that the valve lash is adjusted correctly. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2003 yz125, it’s excessively dripping oil out of the silencer and where it meets the exhaust, there’s a lot of oil, it’s throwing out huge amounts of smoke and starting to foul out plugs. I’ve already replaced the clutch side seal (I’m almost positive it’s coming from the transmission oil) and repacked the exhaust. After that it seemed to stop or at least slowed down. After sitting for a couple months I changed the transmission oil once again and started it up, I let it warm up and didn’t feel like it had the normal amount of power and kinda bogged down, we revved the hell out of it and it cleared up and felt normal. We loaded up and drove out the the desert and I started it with the choke on and let it idle, after about a minute it died and wouldn’t turn over at all. We came back home and took out the spark plug and it was fouled replaced it and it ran again. The next day the same thing happened. Any thoughts on what I should do? The engine was recently rebuilt and I only use it for trail riding and run about a 40:1 ratio. Thanks
  5. So the bike runs alittle rough right now I’m not sure what’s wrong with it the carb may need rebuilt because it has a hard time at idle . I’ve been told it’s my head gasket but there’s no white smoke coming from the exhaust so I’m not sure if it’s just starting to go bad or what .Does anyone know what this is ?   6. I own a 2008 Yz450f and the bike only leaks fuel out of the overflow at the bottom of the carb when the bike is running. I have worked on a lot of bikes and done my fair share of carb work and I can't seem to figure this one out. When the bike sits with the fuel on it never leaks and when I take the bowl off and push the float up and turn the fuel on the needle keeps the fuel back so the needle isn't the problem and the float is not too high or it wold leak when the big is shut off. It didn't leak before and I took the carb apart to do some jet work and it has leaked ever sense.
  7. So, the rear shock on my 2009 KTM 200 XC-W is leaking quite a lot and is in desperate need of a rebuild. I can't seem to find anywhere close to me that rebuilds dirt bike suspension. I live in Central Arkansas. Any suggestions?
  8. So my friend bought an rm125 with a blown top end, so we replaced everything, got it all put back together and the bike wouldn't start. We are getting strong spark, but that doesn't seem to change anything. The carburetor was leaking a steady stream of fuel from the overflow when the petcock was opened, so I assumed since it was sitting for so long, probably just a stuck or blocked needle valve. Pulled the carburetor apart, cleaned it and put it back together. Same issue persisted. Eventually bought a new carburetor, installed it, and after a few kicks we are leaking gas again. The petcock has some issues, but that wouldn't cause an overflow would it? I would assume the float would still ride and cut off flow. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  9. anyone know what the # is for the gasket that goes from a 38 mm rear carb into the air box on a 75 250 husky or other solutions, gas eventually eats up using bicycle inter tubes.
  10. I recently bought a Yamaha TTR 125. It has some problems, the bike does not idle and spills gas from the overflow in the carburetor. I've taken the carburetor apart several times to try and fix little thing that I believed where the problem. I was able to stop the overflow temporarily by adjust the float, but that started back up again but not nearly as bad. I still cant get the bike to idle and its very tough to start. I'm planning on buying a new carburetor but I wanted to see if there was anything anyone new I should try to get it to run. It also has another problem when it is running, shifting gears it seems to just skip gear 2 and 3, anyone know how to fix that?
  11. LEAKING CARBY ISSUE Can anyone tell me what the issue is here ? I have fuel bubbling out of the hose pointed to in the picture when the motor is running it's a bit less, when it is stopped it is faster, it's pretty fast, it soaked the floor around the bike in a couple of minutes I have the Safari 17L tank fitted and an after market exhaust everything else is bog standard motor wise thanks in Advance. ..
  12. Hi everyone, I have a 2002 YZ250 2 stroke that has recently had its top end replaced (within past 6 hours of riding). After taking it out of the garage to run it, I kicked it over and noticed a coolant leak coming from the cylinder base gasket towards the exhaust port. It had no problems prior to this. Two rides previously it may have been flooded by water a little; however, after a new spark plug and oil change it ran just fine again for another ride. What is your opinions? Should I change the base gasket, rebuild the top end again, or is there a simpler solution that i am missing? Thanks.
  13. Hi guys. First post here after lurking for a while 🙄 My front sprocket is leaking. I've read all about the locktite fix. I have yet not done anything. I don't have a 30mm top (arrives tomorrow), so I haven't been able to verify if the sprocket bolt can be tightened. But it is not "finger loose" at least. I am ordering new seal, o-ring, spacer and screws. Now to the question: I have some off-road training coming up tomorrow and a 200km gravel trip on Sunday. Parts won't arrive before next week. If I verify that the bolt holding the sprocket is not loose - and hence the leak must be due to seal/o-ring failure - how slow/fast will it usually develop from here? Right now it is a few drops after turning off a warm engine. Think it will only worsen slowly or can it suddenly start pissing oil all-over? Thanks in advance, Denmark
  14. My 2001 rm125 petcock peaks fuel out of the face of the petcock. I tried fixing it by creating a metal spacer and outing that behind the gasket in the petcock to squish the gasket and seal better, but it made the leak worse. What can I do to fix this?

So I had my 2001 yz125 out today for a little run out along the back road and and half way down after opening it a up a little it bogged and died, managed to get it kicked over again without much trouble, did it again jst before I got back, finally I kicked it over again when I got back and seemed to run smoothlyish Then it started running at high revs for unknown reasons and iv got a leak from the weep hole ? Could this be connected? Or does this seem like a separate issue and nothing to do with the bogging? Any help would be massively appreciated as I'm not mechanically inclined. Many thanks
