I have a 250sxf with the vortex ignition, when the Traction Control is switched on I don't notice any difference, meaning I'm still spinning the rear tire with no engine retardation. I bought the bike with it already setup with the vortex so I'm unsure what settings were done. Is there something I need to do to get the TC switch to engage the TC with the vortex or should it just work? I have the switch set to map 2 and the TC light on.

Started with the all-zeros map Then went to this map for forest and tight single track. That turned out to be really bad (boggy) in steep sandy hills, so next I am trying this:

I'm the proud owner of a 2016 XCF-W and am coming from a 2008 XC-F 450 and in the tight stuff a 2009 XCF-W 250. Don't have her dialed in and prefer to have a bit more HP but seems like a nice stock bike. So I'm in the process of updating the bike to fit my riding style and cosmetic desires. As an engineer, I try to get pretty familiar with my bikes and always do all my own mods, maintenance and repairs/rebuilds. EFI and ignition map tweaks are always of a lot of interest to the nerd in me. But I get the sense that KTM has exaggerated things on that end. So I more than a bit confused regarding the options for more aggressive ignition mapping and hoping that more knowledgeable folks can help educate me. I will say that I've ordered the FMF 4.1 full titanium exhaust, Grunt manifold and Model 1 TPS setting as a start. Seems to be the most popular upgrade for power outside of a big bore kit. But the TPS tool is a workaround at the end of the day. What's most confusing to me is KTM's own statements of: "With an optional map-select switch from the Power Parts program, the EMS can allow the rider to select different engine characteristics. In addition, the optional User-Setting-Tool provides the ability to readout engine data with a laptop and change the ignition and injection mapping with just a few mouse clicks." I'm getting a sense this may be bordering on false advertising from KTM. I understand the User-Setting Tool itself has been discontinued by KTM (#69029096140) and that in order for it to work on our bikes that the ECU must be unlocked. Worse, appears that dealers are not officially allowed modify ECUs any long. The statements on KTM's website seems misleading and implies this is an easy plug, play and adjust ("...with just a few mouse clicks"). So what's the true story and what, if any, options might us owners have here? And maybe I'm just pissing in the wind on this one as the gains are minimal anyway? Second if KTM is advertising this but not providing the solutions to the end-customers, doesn't that seriously piss anyone off? Don't get me wrong, I love KTM products. Thanks, Devin

I have the 2013 Honda CRF250R NO MODS. It has the throttle problem in first gear and second gear. It wants to jump around in the RPM'S when trying to use the throttle at 1/4 to 1/2 open. I have read many threads about this, on here and other places as well. I'm not wanting to here about how to clutch the bike, as I would have bought a point and shoot bike and maybe I have and did not know it. Im not riding a ton of technical stuff but this thing is annoying to hold a steady throttle on. Had a 250R carb bike that was way more ridable. Thankyou in advance for any help on this... 1. Re map the Honda computer (cant find a Honda HRC tuner so my local Honda will remap it one time $120) they say they can fix the problem 2. G2 Honda throttle tamer with jimmy twist $109 3. JD tuner $230 4. Vortex tuner $600 5. A cluch I herd about on here adige aptc $? 6. Flywheel, or flywheel weight. $? I'm not a slipper clutch fan so hooping not to go that direction. If Honda can tune it out, great but then I'm stuck with that one tune and no flex to adjust. The G2 throttle sound like a good idea either way for a bike that will see a few technical' s here and there( Better throttle control) so I'm going to do that first, however it has been said "not" to be the fix, just a masking. one guy put it as "its not night and day better, but more like no moon vs full moon. Money well spent" JD tuner Vortex tuner has mixed reviews?? and options. You can send your box in or buy a tunable one with a harness and box to install. The vortex seems a lot better and cleaner of a option but dam $700 What is the fix? Will Honda B able to get it cleaned up in one remap? G2 going to mask it enough to make it a little more trail manageable? Vortex the way to go as I want to pipe it later on? JD mail off? or Buy there tuner?

Hey guys, I just recently purchased a 2015 WR450F. It has a gytr power tuner. I have noticed that the bike is very difficult to start when ran for a while and the motor is hot and seems to backfire occasionally. I am thinking this may be due to running too rich of a tune on it. I am wondering what Mapping I should try on the tune because I think this may be the main reason for the hard starts when hot and the occasional backfire. The bike has a fmf q4 quiet core slip on with the spark arrestor removed and a gytr short throttle stop screw. I also live in Pennsylvania with a rough elevation of 2,000ft. Knowing this can anyone point me to a general tune that may help my problem? Thanks all! Im new to all this advanced computer tuning stuff.

Hello All I tried searching but the search bar was not much help. Can someone explain the mapping switch for me? I understand that 1 on the handlebar switch is stock and 2 is whatever you set under the seat.... Under the seat 0-10 what is what? 0 mild? 10 wild? I can't get a straight answer even the manual seems like a confusing answer to me.. Thank you for the help! Nate

Hi there, I recently did the top end rebuild of my Yamaha YZ450f 2015, I added a Wossner piston and went with the Kibblewhite valves and spring setup. I also have a FMF Powercore 4 installed, I am mostly a dune rider and hard desert terrain, I purchased the power tuner too and I am looking to get the best performance and power from the bike, I have tried a few of the maps recommended but was hoping I could get a custom map setup from someone who has knowledge of the power tuner. Thanks

Looking at purchasing the Trail Tech Mapping switch for my 2013 450 SXF. Anyone have one? How does it work? Do I need to change the stock mapping first? Any advice, comments and stories from your experience would be greatly appreciated.

I just picked up a 2019 yz250f today. it's a blast riding it around the house, but I was wondering if anyone had maps that they use for faster trail riding/hillclimbs? thanks in advance!

2020 Suzuki RM-Z 250. Stock engine with full Akrapovic titanium exhaust. Bike runs good with stock ECU. Problem: With the GET RX1 ECU with Wificom I have the issue that it bogs from low revs when cracking the throttle fast both with no load and with load during riding. The symptom is exactly the same as a poorly timed Accelerator pump on an FCR carb. No amount of added fuel seem to help. TPS is set at 0.612 V with idle fully screwed out (0.60 - 0.64 V limit according to Suzuki manual). TPS is set to 0.750 V at idle (0.74 - 0.79 V according to Suzuki manual). I have reset the TPS in the app in two ways, both with the same result: First way: 7 turns out on the idle screw. Zero TPS. 7 turns in again on the idle screw. This causes the throttle value to read 4% with no throttle applied. Second way: Zero TPS at correctly set idle TPS-value. Bike also feels like it runs hot with the GET ECU, giving a fault code for water temp sensor at times. Athena have not been able to give a good answer for this issue. But what I know is that I need Maya software to update it so maybe that is the only way forward. Thankful for any help I get. I have attached the info from the app here:

Hi All, I'm about to pick up a new 23 TC125. I was curious for those that have owned these bikes for a little bit. Have there been any map updates/any other updates released? Also how many hours are people going before doing a top end? Since these bikes are still so new I cant find much info with a quick google search. Lastly any problems running pump 93? I believe MXA uses pump and said they didnt have any problems whereas I know the KTM 125 had some slight detonation issues. Thanks for any info!

I just bought a vortex ignition from someone and looking for some help with settings. The vortex was orginally bought from twisted development and it came with a sheet but I don’t really understand. My bike is stock currently. Only thing I have done is an fmf pipe and twin air power flow currently. Will be getting some cams from Harris performance soon though. Thank you in advance for any type of help.

New to mapping, is this map safe? 2018 WR450f 443. -101 443. -1-10 443. -2-1-1 tried a bunch of the general ones. For my area and technical stuff this is what I like but my question is am I harming my engine with this map? I know I’m running rich and my mpg is probably really bad. But not concerned with that at the moment. thanks
