  1. Going to look at a 560 SMR this weekend. I want to convert it to offload use. Who's ready for a easy conversion. I would like to do a complete front end swap and swap wheels. The 560 currently has 17" Excels, brand new Dunlops, Beringer brakes. Everything looks super clean. Let me know what you have and make an offer.

    My bike is not straight

Hey guys. I have a 2006 Drz400sm, which I just got new tires and was putting them on. Torqued it all down. But now, when I drove my bike after I was done; I have to turn a little right (with the handlebars) To go straight. its like I mis- aligned my tire on the front maybe? Any suggestions or answers would be appreciated.
  3. I am converting my 2005 Honda crf250r dirt bike into a street legal supermoto but have run into a problem. I used the tusk lighting kit and upgraded stator to do the conversion. Everything is working on the bike, turn signals, computer, taillight, on/off switch, ect. except the headlight!! I simply cannot figure out how to wire it to the tusk harness. Since its a race bike, it didn't have an existing headlight. The headlight I bought is the Poliosport Halo. Included are the diagrams to the headlight and the handlebar switch. If someone could explain how to go about wiring the headlight I would really appreciate it.
  4. SuMo Time: Sumotoberfest SuperSprechermoto SuMoSwarm w/ Friends Menards in Carpentersville, Illinois 10AM meet... SUNDAY: 52–72°Mostly Sunny THis is actually a combination of two groups meeting up... mostly backroads, twists, turns... Supermoto Swarm There are currently around 12 people in each group and more joining by the hour. We're avoiding gravel and offroad this time so we can include our Supermoto-challenged friends =D -- so bring a friend, or a 'backpack'. Yes, sometimes we go fast -- but the group waits for people to catch up. So, just come ride! While we, as a primarily Supermoto group, really love having as many supermotos as possible out on rides, bring your Supermoto if you have one, otherwise bring whatever. Bring a friend. I don't know how well a GROM would keep up. We've got KTMs, Suzukis, Yamahas, Husq, ducati, etc... Most of the time we're all back to the launch point by 2:30 / 3PM, but it just depends. http://www.sprecherspub.com/ The group is not a internet gawker group -- we're a group that RIDES -- not TALKS about riding -- but RIDES. So, if you RIDE, come RIDE. Don't join the group to be a lurker -- there are already a million groups you can join if you just want to be a lurker. A bunch of the guys use Sena intercoms, so if you have it... If you request to join the group and don't answer questions (designed to see if you actually ride, and are not just a lurker), and your profile doesn't seem tro indicate that you actually ride, you risk not being admitted into the group... 1999 XR400R Tracker Build

I figured it's time to start my own forum post instead of piggy backing off someone else's. I grew up on dirt bikes mainly Honda XR's and love 'em, but I haven't owned a motorcycle in over a decade since I sold mine to move out West (Salt Lake City, UT). I found a dead XR400r bottom end and frame from someone on our local classified website for $150 with title. Turns out he couldn't get the swing arm bolt out and parted out the bike instead. So what you see is literally all I had of the bike. So far I have purchased the following: $150 1999 XR400R bottom end and frame with title plus miscellaneous parts (brake caliper, wiring harness, oil pump, etc) $25 2002 CR250 triple clamp $200 2002 Ninja ZX12R rolling chassis - will be selling extra parts to recoup some coats $610 Used Cylinder head, valve cover, clutch cover, CDI Box, coil, rectifier, stater cover, stater, kick starter, and New Big bore kit with Weisco piston Well I learned taking the swing arm bolt out really, really, REALLY effing sux! However, with enough determination, patience, and a drill press the bolt will come out! I ended up cutting the bolt right next to the case with a grinder and finally had success. I guesstimate I have about 10 hours alone in just removing the bolt. My goal is to copy (yes copy) at least to a degree the Classified Moto Movember bike in essence. I will be painting mine in some fancy color scheme though. I will be using the Ninja front end, but nothing else. First question I have is, will the CR250 triple clamp work on the XR400R frame, if not I'll just resell it, no big deal. I read on several forums they are somewhat swappable?
  6. Looking for a set of motard wheels for my 2008 Beta RS 525. Not having any luck finding a set. warp 9 said they dont have hubs for the 08s. Thought i read somewhere that ktm wheels were compatable?
  7. SuMo Time: Braptasticly Motarded Supermoto Swarm Superfuntime Ride( SUPERMOTO GROUP RIDE -- last ride was 24 bikes) Ok, Supermoto Dundee Swarm™, IS IT INVIGORATING to go blast roads with a huge, glorious swarm of Supermotos with friendly Braptards™? YES! Does Supermoto-ing make you feel MORE THAN ALIVE??! YES! IT DOES! Will this be the last absolutely gorgeous weekend before the weather becomes less friendly? Who wants to take that chance of losing a perfectly gorgeous day to ride?! NOT YOU. NOT me. NOBODY does. NOBODY. Will the rest of the weekends before it gets uncomfortably cold be rainy days? Who knows. But, what if?!? You MUST ride NOW!! Will you REGRET NOT having ridden with a large crew of totally awesome Supermoto teammates? Yes. Yes, you WILL REGRET it! (And a recent very independent study done by Professor Joe PhD Wheeliester over at Braptard University™ shows you'd definitely be SAD -- Very sad. -- if you MISS THIS RIDE. Don't be SAD. COME RIDE. BE HAPPY. Is THIS SUNDAY, October 8th @ 10:00AM projected to be absolutely GORGEOUS Supermoto-ing weather? Why, YES! YES it is! YOU. ARE. IN. LUCK!! Do you remember when it was NINETY PLUS degrees this summer, and you were all, "OMG it's TOO HOT to gear up and ride!! (but i'm going to do it anyway because SUPERMOTO IS LIFE!)"???!! So... you DO remember longingly hoping for the exact riding conditions projected for Sunday October 8th 2017?? Well... it's HERE. That DAY is THIS SUNDAY. Do you even know how to find the Menards parking lot near mcdonalds, on Randall Road, in Carpentersville, IL which has fuel, food, coffee?? Doesn't matter. Ask UNCLE GOOGLE! He'll show you how to get to the start of your GLORIOUS Supermoto day. Thanks, Uncle Google. You should KNOW where HOME is. Home is Supermoto Dundee launch zone -- Menard's -- "Where you always save Motard$" Do you have friends who rides Supermotos who've not had the awesome experience of riding with the Supermoto Dundee Swarm™? Yes! YES you do! Bring them. Bring them ALL. (You wouldn't want them to question you later about why you left them high and dry. Excluded them? No! Include your fellow Braaptardz! You can't afford having a rift in your Supermoto friendship. BRING THEM. They might not know they need this -- they do. Do NOT leave it up to them. Bring them. Somehow. Must... get... to... launch... We WILL SEE YOU THERE! Stand-ups somewhere between 10:45 and 11AM, depending on if we know we're waiting for certain Braptardz™ to arrive who've said they are ON THEIR WAY, who'll be arriving in a REASONABLE amount of time. You need this couple of hours to FEEL TRULY ALIVE. Most of the time we're all back to launch by 2:30 / 3PM, but it just depends. 8. Hey guys, So I picked up a set of DRZ400E rims. I have been looking for ages for a set of these! I have an '08 SM model. So luckily these will bolt right on with all the standard DRZ spacers that my SM already has. However, I hear this might require me to interchange my rotor in the front, to a rear SM rotor (front one is way too big for off road according to a few DRZ forums I am part of). The 400SM models front rotor is bolted on though which might make that tricky every time! Is anyone riding an SM, who also interchanges to E rims when needed? And what is your setup currently to make the interchange as fast and painless as possible? Including sprocket / chain sizes. I want to be able to change between E and SM standard rims without wanting to Sparta kick my bike over each time! PS: On the more social / networking side of things... Subscribe to my new-ish Youtube Channel, JenSM, to watch Cape Town Supermoto adventures (new video is there!). I will also be working on a few other videos that include my Yamaha TDR180 Scrambler rebuild. Any other Supermoto Street Legal crews / Supermoto riders / DRZ riders to subscribe to on Youtube, lurking around? Link me to your channels so that I can check your videos out!
  9. Hey guys! Resorting back to the ol' forum research; I have had my new ktm 500 for about 4 months now and I love it. While the '11 crf450 gathers dust I figured I mine as well sell it and pick up some new rims for a supermoto setup on the 500. I dig the 17" x 3.5" front (more practical tire choices) and I am wondering if a 5" rear will fit with the right tire. Question is, which f****** wheels will fit the 2017 ktm 500??! Been calling all over and lookin up part numbers and doin research online and I still can't get a definite answer so here I am. I don't know what WILL work?! Gonna drop the extra $$ on Marchesini wheels but I can only find info for the 2016 model on their website, not the 2017. Would even consider alpina or excel rims if someone can just lead me to the wheels that will definitely fit!! Getting anxious and really annoyed of the shallow-lean-angle turns on the knobbies! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

    drz400sm

I had a gsx-s750 and got rid of it and picked up a 2015 drz400sm this week. It's used and the last guy put knobbies on it. I'm switching back to Michelin power 2ct. stock tire size is 140/70. The current tires are 150/70. I was looking at running 160/60. Anyone know if this would be a problem? I'm just getting into the supermoto life so any other general suggestions would be great. Thanks!

  12. Hello everyone! I would like some help regarding which Supermoto-style front fenders fits a 2017 KTM 500 EXC-F Six Days. There's 2 screw holes in the back off my current off-road fender that mounts in the back of the lower clamp. A friend suggested a 690 SMC-R or Husky FS300-570 but I'm not sure since I've only seen pictures. (OEM partnumber: 7730821000028)
