    Title Troubles

So here's the scenario I've been stuck with. Recently bought a KDX200 with a title but that's where the trouble is because the original owner is from Illinois and had the bike and died in September 2010, the family decided to sell the bike in October 2010 but they didn't transfer the title into their name so they sold it in his name after his death. The guy we bought it from had bought it from the original family in October 2010 and he didn't transfer the title into his name either. Then he moved from Illinois to Ohio and still didn't get the title transferred in his name nor transfer it to an Ohio title. It's not stolen because the Vin numbers and everything match up though. Anyone know a way to get the title transferred to Ohio in our name?
  5. Hi guys, I live in California and there is possibility of me moving to Mason/Ohio. California has strict emissions laws where most dirt bikes are never street legal. Example : Enduro KTM450, Husky 450 -- Can get a plate, street legal Yamaha, Honda Enduro bikes -- mostly green sticker meaning it can ride OHV areas all year round, not street legal and cant be made street legal Two strokes/MX bikes -- red sticker, private property only or 6 months out of the year(winter) OHV areas. How are things in Ohio? Can I get a plate for a lets say two stroke Husky TE300? I have seen threads where people were talking about plating dirt bikes in ohio but the thread is from 2007 and a lot changes in 11 years. What happens if I bring an out of state bike to Ohio, do I take the title to motor vehicles and get a new one?

    ohio Tires

So, Im looking for a good rear tire to put on my KDX200. Ive thought about a hybrid tire but here in Ohio we have lots of mud and loose gravel. I was wondering what tire would be best for loose gravel filled hillclimbs but also works good in slimy type mud. but also works decent in hardpack. Main concern is the loose gravel hillclimbs, been thinking about a soft terrain tire as well such as a Metzeler MC360 Mid-Soft tire which has good reviews. anyone from Ohio have any good suggestions? not looking for a DOT tire though either.

  10. Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber, The Wayne National Forest's notice of initiation of the assessment phase of Forest Plan Revision was published in the Federal Register on April 19, 2018. This notice signals the official start of the Forest Plan revision process that will continue for the next two to three years. The revised Forest Plan will guide all land management activities on the Wayne National Forest for the next 10-15 years. "We are now reviewing the feedback we received from the public during the eight kick-off meetings held in March and April of 2018," stated Forest Supervisor Tony Scardina. By June 1, 2018, we will announce a comprehensive public engagement plan for the assessment phase, which will provide a detailed outline of additional public meetings and other ways the public can provide the information we are looking for during the assessment phase of the Forest Plan Revision process. If you would like to submit comments, information, or scientific data before announcement of the comprehensive public engagement plan, please submit it to WaynePlanRevision@fs.fed.us, or by mail to Lori Swiderski at Wayne National Forest, 13700 US Hwy 33, Nelsonville, OH 45764. If you have any questions about the process, please contact Plan Revision Team Leader, Lori Swiderski, at WaynePlanRevision@fs.fed.us or 740-753-0859. The notice of initiation is available at https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/04/19/2018-08159/wayne-national-forest-athens-gallia-hocking-jackson-lawrence-monroe-morgan-noble-perry-scioto-vinton additional information about the Forest Plan Revision process is available at https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/wayne/landmanagement/planning Bill Kaeppner with Ohio Motorized Trails Association (OMTA) and BRC Board Member, points out that, "this is an extremely important opportunity for you. Every single voice counts. This is the opportunity for you to affect how the Wayne is run. How much area your sport has. What the trails will be like. Others will be telling the Wayne what they want too. You may not be what they want. You as an individual must be involved. If you do not voice your opinions and needs, do not be upset when you lose your type of recreation on the Wayne. The folks who oppose motorized recreation will be voicing their opinions. Make sure your voice is stronger than theirs." Thanks in advance and, as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact BRC. Central Ohio

Looking for some folks to go trail riding, exploring, camping, fishing with. I'm not looking to see how deep I can bury my ATV, but if we get stuck I'm more than happy to get dirty to help everyone get out of trouble. I'm happy to do trail clearing also. -Joe

    Central Ohio Places to Ride

Looking for more tracks and some trails to ride in the central Ohio area. The only tracks I know about are Route 62 mx, Briarcliff mx, Eastfork mx, and COCR. The closest to me is COCR, but they rarely have open rides. Typically I go to Briarcliff or Route 62 which are both about 55 minutes away. Does anybody know of any other tracks? (Small or big just want new places ride.) Even if someone has a personal track to ride that would be cool. So far, only trails I've ridden were at Perry Forest.

Where to have Dave's carb mod done?

I live in Columbus Ohio. I have a 2012 xr650l. Stock except for Clark tank, grips, tail rack and bag. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but just don't trust myself on motor or carb work. I want to do Daves Carb mod and the smog block off to it. Where could I take this to have done? Will a dealership like ASK Powersports or Honda Dealer do it for me? Should I be looking for a motorcycle mechanic in the area? Thanks all for your help on this and I hope to see you out soon. Love to do a XR rally around here this summer. Thanks again all!

    New Riders in Central Ohio?

Any newer riders around central/eastern Ohio who want join me for dual sport rides? I'm in my first year of riding and only have about 4k miles under my belt so I'm looking for people who are also not really ready to spend the day jumping their bikes and racing through single track. I don't know the dirt roads or tracks around Ohio very well at all, but I count that as part of the learning curve with starting to dual sport. So, if you want to go out and have help picking up your bike (and don't mind helping others) and learning to dual sport with a relaxed, patient, and responsible, middle aged man. Let me know. I live just east of Gahanna but am fine with riding an hour or so to meet up (that's part of dual sporting, right?). -Joe

Jake-Tom Enduro - First Time Racing

I have been following the ACES Races for years and am just now diving head first into the series; I signed up and paid for the Jake-Tom Enduro. I have been riding for years and have no issues with any skill it takes to race rather I am just trying to understand how the race formats work (restart) and learn some of the "Race Etiquette" so I am making more friends and enemies out there. I am really looking forward to getting into this series and the community around it. I would love to make some friends with others around the Columbus area who race this series as well to be honest. Any tips or anyone who would want to connect to do some riding in between races is what I am looking for here. I have just under 300 acres east of Columbus that I ride at and have been maintaining trails for years. At the end of the day, this stuff is about passion and ultimately community. I have friends that I ride with out at my land/perry/wayne/etc. however they do not race; I simply want to take this hobby to the next level and am looking for feedback/people to connect with. 2017 Husqvarna TE250 2011 Yamaha WR450F
