  1. Hey forum. I was given a blown 07 Rm85l big wheel for free and have just put about $360 CAD into a rebuilding it, the connecting rod kit, piston kit, seals, and carb. Just wonder the opinions on if this was a deal or what. The bike came with papers and seems to be in alright working order asides from the motor, couple goodies, new wheel bearing front back and trickle tree bearing, new tire front newish tire rear, protaper bars, unbreakable break lever, handgaurds, large rad, and fmf shortie exhaust. I am about 5,9-10 157lbs. I just want to ride around on the trails for fun no racing and I'm wondering if I will have a terrible time, and if it will suffice for now? Thanks,
  2. Hello! Im new here and about to get my first bike. Ive ridden for quite a few years but never my own bike. Ive rode a 86 xr 200, a 2003 ttr 230 and a 08 ktm 300xcw. Now im haveing a hard time deciding between a ktm 150sx or xcw, and a 250 sxf. I do not want a 250 2 stroke because its too much for me for what i do. Im 5' 10" 150lbs and i do 95% woods riding. Lots of roots, rocks, hills and tight corners. when i go camping i love to explore the mountains and get up high and find the best views. Ive read that the 150 is great to grow on, but i would like to have my next bike for at least 6 years. I love to play in the woods and have fun riding, i feel i could do that on a 250 4 stroke but i would like some opionions. I live in Merritt, British Columbia in canada and bikes are going fast and are limited. There may not be a 150 xcw to get soon but they have a couple 150sx's. Im wondering if the 150 2 stroke is a better choice over a 250 4 stroke for the riding i do. Thank you in advance!

I have a 06 Dakar KTM 525 exc with a 21"90/90 on front stock it says 80/100 rear is also 140 wide and I see rubber marks on inside of my muffler but my biggest concern is the gearing it has a 52 tooth on rear and a 13 upfront right now stock says 15 and 45 for rear I used to be an avid rider n racer but broke my back and I havnT rode since 2012 I know I'm either gaining top speed with more teeth and losing power down low or vice versa and my rear suspension even with me sitting on it and I'm a solid 220-230 lbs barely moves I'm 6"2 and to touch with both feet I'm on my toes suspension in rear prolly sags 2 inches with my full weight on it I'm not sure if the spring was changed to a heavier model cause I know it's been raced and jumped for that suspension to have compressed enough for knubs to rub on muffler 15 inches up. Suggestions info and input greatly appreciated and the front tire is dry rotted on sides is flat and won't take air it has the irc db5 s on it and I've heard they are a very good tire rear tire is fine has plenty. Of knobby left just front needs replaced should I stick with the 90/90 or go to the 80/100 and what's the big difference I'm familiar with automotive tire numbers just not sure if it's the same with db's like is it 90 tall and 90 wide and the difference between that and stock 80/100 is it won't be as wide but will be a lil taller? Also am having a hard time finding a tube for a 90/90 all I come across esp for heavy duty is tubes for 80/100 will a 80/100 tube work fine with a 90/90 tire?cause other than some crazing and small cracks in sidewall from sitting flat the tire is like new should I just put a new tube in and ride I also have a 16 ounce bottle of green slime I wonder if I should try that but I can't get the tire to pump up at all I don't know if it's tubeless and the air is going right out the sidewall cracks or what and I don't want to use fix a flat cause if it don't work then I gotta spend all that time and effort to work the tire off then clean the foam off the rim with a wire brush and then replace the rubber band protective that goes over the spoke nipples.what do u guys think?
  4. Hey so I have ridden a drz125L for almost a year now. It’s really really comfortable...too comfortable-I’m ready to upgrade! !! I am 14 , 5 foot 6, 115 pounds and I do all trail riding. I am fairly experienced, not a pro by any means but good at what I do I suppose. What do y’all think?
  5. Had my bike tapped out on pavement then she locked right up, held the clutch, came to a stop, loaded her up, top end looks perfect. Trying to find the next best bottom end to OEM standards.. I didn’t expect anything of this kind of nature but here we are and I believe it’s only the bottom bearing on my rod, Hope I can get some suggestions on getting parts and also is there any suggestions for tools (crankcase splitter, flywheel puller, bearing and seal driver) as I’m on my way to Edmonton tomorrow for a break the bank kind of day, any opinions are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!
