Just snagged a used Oset 20 for the kids. It's missing the charger, has the 4 12v Lead acid batteries. I could buy an over priced Oset charger and give it a go. I guess I should just pull the batteries and just charge them individually the old fashion way 1st to make sure they are any good. For the price of a charger and new lead acid batteries i could just buy a handful of LiFePO4 batteries and probably just be better off. With that being said has anyone fitted off brand Lipo or life batteries into one and if so how did it go? I'd prefer to go with LiFe batteries, seems like the lead acid batteries are 12 or 10ah, i'd probably stick with a similar rating. LiFePO4 battery selection seems to be fairly reasonable as of late compared to just a few years ago. I figure I could snag 4 LiFe batteries use an existing charger i have to charge them up and be good to go and probably cut some weight in the process. My concerns being the increased voltage from the Life Batteries. A little bit over 12v times 4 adds up, still not way over but would it cause any issues with the system or motor?
