This is the cylinder to my 1980 KDX 400 A2. I can't decide if its plated or sleeved, a magnet sticks to the inside of the bore but i saw someone say its eletrofusioned with molybdenum so it could be the coating that's magnetic.... it still runs with compression but i hope to sleeve it this winter with a steel or iron sleeve so i can bore it as needed.
To summarize things, I Recently made a purchase that i didn't honestly didn't do enough research into before hand. Basically I was living in south western Colorado where it was easy to plate almost any dirt bike, moved back to Pennsylvania and never really brushed up on my local laws here about the whole process of re-titling an offroad motorcycle here, because it's not quite as simple. I Bought a 2013 Crf450r in hopes of ultimately making it into a dual sport. I basically want to know the key differences between the R & X models. And if some of these differences are easily interchangeable items between the two models to make the re-titling process smoother. Does anyone know of any kits to help the R make the transition I live in a Rural / Mountainous area of Pa about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, where highway riding that requires a speed higher than 55 would be a basically never occurring thing, so i'm also hoping the stock gearing will be fine. Any tips or hard advice would be appreciated!
oscarjones posted a topic in CaliforniaHey guys, I am looking at a 2005 CRF250x that has a Arizona license plate on it. I was wondering if anybody could help me. My understanding is, from looking on forums and calling AAA, I all I need is the title of the bike from the owner and to get a VIN inspection by the DMV. The guy said the bike is registered until September 2020 in Arizona. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
