  1. I got a question. I own a 2016 KX 85. It ran AMAZING after it first bought it used and was in beautiful condition and I picked it up for only 2500. I was riding when all of a sudden it started bogging down right before the power band.i don’t think it’s jetting because the bogging just turned on like a switch and it was running perfect before it. The bike was like that for a month. Apparently the previous owner never oiled the filter so it was dry as a rock and was falling apart and got sucked into to the intake so I’m guessing my power valve is gummed up or stuck close or open. I was riding one day with the bog issue and about 35 minutes of riding I shut it off to take a break. Came back 20 minutes later and it would not start.I changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb,checked the reeds,and tried hill starting it but nothing. When ever I try to hill start it I can hear it trying to crank and It starts for like half a second but then dies.I don’t remember if I left the fuel petcock on but what I’m guessing is that I flooded the engine and tried starting which messed up my electronics.The reason why I think I flooded the Engine is because when I took off the reeds the intake manifold and reed were soaked in gas.I heard that starting the engine while flooded can mess with a woodruff key or your CDI or something. There is spark coming from the plug though.And yes I mix the gas with oil at 32:1 cause I’m in the pipe all the time.This is my first time owning a 2 stroke.Any answers or tips.

  4. I have a 2008 Honda CRF450R that has been sitting for about a year. I got it out the other day to get it ready for spring. I drained the fueltank, carb and replaced the airfilter. Yes I know I should have done that before I put it away! Anyhow, the bike starts on choke like normal but once it's warmed up and I take the choke off, it dies....instantly. I tried to cheat and only took the jets out with the carb still on the bike cleaned them and reinstalled. Bike still acts the same. Right now I have the carb off and I'm going to clean it but can anyone tell me what this problem could be. I feel like its the pilot jet but I know it's clean. Any advice or things to look for? Thanks!
  5. I have a 2011 xcf 250 and haven't had any troubles. We took a little break from riding then as we got back on the bikes I went to use my rear brake and the pedal was stiff. I slammed it down and it un-stiffened So I thought it was fine. Next corner I barely touch the pedal and it locked the rear tire and got stuck down. I had to kick the lever back up and then it worked fine the rest of the day. Why would this of happened?

Hello every one, I just bought a vor dirt bike from someone for 250 lol with no paperwork or anything of any kind, not sure what year or model all I know is it's a vor bike, please help I would like to find out everything I can about it and fix it up and I saw that the is a little lever by the clutch lever not sure what that is and I am having trouble starting it, please help me thank you in advance, if you could email me at cackaffen89@gmail.com that would be much better again thank you
  7. Hello, I broke my clavicle in March following a accident. It was a mid shaft fracture with mild displacement, no surgery. I wore a sling for about 10 days and then I stopped. I started getting pins and needles feeling in my hand occasionally especially if I lifted anything or if I was poking ny clavicle. After 6 weeks I went back to my manual labor job, and at 8 week I had to lift some heavy stuff and my shoulder started to hurt. Then at 10 weeks following some light shoulder exercises with a 5lb weight I got bad pins and needles feeling in my hand and fingers and cold feeling in my pinky and ring fingers which lasted for about a week. Now my shoulder hurts especially in the back shoulder blade and also AC joint and bursa area. Also the pins and needles feeling in my hand and fingers comes and goes throughout the day. Has anyone else here experienced this following a clavicle fracture? I see my doctor in middle of July. Is there anything I should do or not do until then? Is it ok to keep working? Im not asking for medical advice but does anyone have a opinion on whats going on with my shoulder/hand? Thank you.

It may be an outrageous idea to think of, but is there a way to install a Yamaha XT350 (or an air-cooled model of similar capacity) engine into a Yamaha XT225 serow and (supposing the suspensions and brakes are taken care of) can the frame withstand the 30-35hp of such an engine ? Has anyone ever attempted something similar? Consider that the money/time factor doesn't exist, we are only taking into account the durability of the frame. The cylinders are relatively close in stroke (1,6mm bigger stroke for the 350) and have 16mm difference in bore. I assume that the 350 engine has both its own (tougher?) driver and driven sprockets so maybe a custom spacer must be created to connect the driven sprocket to the back wheel? Are there any other electrical parts required? Excuse me for asking for so much info on something maybe so out of the ordinary... Maybe im crazy and it would be better to just find a used xt350 but the xt225 i currently have is something like a family heirloom to me (so no matter what i will keep it in any case). More than that, i can't find an xt350 in worthy condition where i live (but i can theoretically buy an engine from abroad though) and at least with my bike i know what to expect in other sectors (frame, brakes, suspension e.t.c.)! I would really appreciate any opinions on the matter!

Hi so I got a 1981 yamaha xt250 and I got it leggaly and was driving it then it bogged down randomly and now it will not go into any high rpms it kinda likes idle and maybe like a mm or 2 of movement with the throttle. Any else it boggs down and trys to shut down. I took the carb out and cleaned it my best(I might have missed something I'm not good) I replaced the gas. I cleaned the air filter and I am waiting for a new spark plug to come in even tho the old spark plug has a really good spark please help me
  10. Does anybody in a snowballs chance in hell have a needle for a 1998 kx125 carb? I broke mone and guess what... obsolete. The part number is 0XHHK, or 16009-1982. Any help appreciated
  11. My 2010 rmz250 will sputter like it wants to start, but it won’t. I cleaned the spark plug and there was spark, and I put new gas in it. Air filter is clean also. Do I just need to buy a new plug? Someone please help, it ran fine the night before and now all of a sudden it won’t start.

Bought the bike as a non runner and was told all it needed was the barrel replated and a top end rebuild, had this work done and the bike won’t rev fully through the range, noticed the bike was getting very hot after just idling for about 20 seconds so tried bigger jets to richen up the mixture but still exactly the same problem, any ideas? I’ve tested the stator plug with a multimeter and that is within spec to the manual, tried new spark plug, any ideas please help. Driving me mad lol
