  1. Hey yall, I have a 2002 ttr 125 L. It seems that my handlebars are slightly rotated. Does anyone know how to adjust them, they do not appear to be bent. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  2. Long story short. From what i have seen 17 inch SM tires should look good on the 400E. I want 17inch SM tires on the Suzuki instead of the dirt tires. How do i do that. What do i need to buy and where can i buy it, (Europe if possible). The tires themselves i can buy in my country (Sweden). But the rest, where?
  3. The RM125 seems to be in good condition. It has recently had a full engine rebuild. My CR85R is in good condition and I just rebuilt my top end and put a new rear shock and wheel assembly on it. Do you all think this would be a good trade and why or why not?
  4. Hello guys! Hope y'all are good I was overhauling my 2004 YZ250f and it's time to put the suspension back together. I was researching suspension oils locally and pretty much the only brand available is the Motul Technosyntese, so that's pretty much the brand I'll get. However, the weight... There is 5W and 10W available. I am a heavier rider (right now I'm pushing 265 lbs) and revalved the forks and shock with gold valves and got the springs for my weight. Even though Racetech recommends 5W oil I can't help but feel that is a bit too thin to handle my fat a$$, but I'm afraid 10W might be too stiff. What do you guys think? Thank you for your responses!
  5. Okay so i got my drz to run on the road and she runs well... But not for long... It dies while riding and takes a few tries with the starter to run, also the bike will only start on high idle, if im driving I can put it in low idle and the last choke. Ive cleaned the jets but i guess I didnt clean them good enough. Ive been thinking about ordering the oem jets and putting them in, but ive also thought about doing the 3x3 mod. What do yall think I should do?
  6. Hi guys I was wondering what could I sell my 1996 ktm 250sx for, it has a new top end and crank and I’m going to get new plastics, tires, levers, and grips I will also give it a nice clean up I was thinking some were between $1200-$1600 Let me know what you think
  7. Hey guys! I’ve been having an issue with my 2005 cr125 lately, mid rpms are very weak, but at high rpms the bike rips. Here’s the story. I bought the bike in October last year, and the bike had a stutter in 1st and 2nd gear and would breakup above half throttle, but it didn’t bother me so I rode it for the rest of the season. Earlier this year I decided to try to chase down the issue. First thing I did was replace the reeds, nothing happened. At the time I had been looking into a lectron carb, so I threw on my friends lectron carb that was on a kx125 to see how it would run. It fixed the odd sputtering, so I decided to buy one myself. Here’s where this new problem started, I put on the new carb, bike starts right up and runs great. Upon first ride, I encountered the problem where my mid range was weak. I richened the carb quite a bit on the metering rod and power jet, and nothing changed. When I threw on my friends carb, I wasn’t paying attention to the rest of the rpm range. So the problem could’ve occurred then as well, but I couldn’t remember. Previous owner used a lectron on it before he sold it with the stock mikuni. What else should I check? This week I’ll put my friends on again and really pay attention to the whole rpm range. -new reeds, clean air filter, and 30hrs on top end (I don’t ride hard) video will be attatched. it may sound like a slipping clutch but you can feel the power increase dramatically from mid to top. https://youtube.com/shorts/A_16P0LayCg?feature=share Thanks.
  8. Hello, Im installing some new stainless lines on my 2013 xr650L. At the moment I’m working on the rears. I bought the tusk lines from Rocky Mountain and they appear to be rebranded galfer lines. Right off the bat the rear line is shorter than the old stock one and it doesn’t really want to route in the same way. I’ve tried the line both ways and I can’t seem to find the position that feels natural. One side of the line has a slight kink in the fitting and the other fitting is more straight Does anyone know which side of the line should face the front of the bike?
  9. I have a 2019 Kx100, completely stock. I am looking to put an Fmf fatty expansion chamber as well as an fmf shorty silencer. Stock from the factory, the Kx100s come slightly rich, which is true on my bike. Spark plugs are black, and I have fouled one already. I am waiting to put the pipe on to mess with jetting, but the real question is that if my bike is rich already, and I add a new chamber and silencer, would that possibly make the bike leaner, or would I still have to go down in jets or needle clip? If so, recommendations on what jets or needles I should change to? All jets are stock, with stock NAPF needle. Thanks
  10. Alright, I'm moving to newfoundland, canada next month and need help deciding which dirt bike to get when I get there. Im 14 and weigh 135 pounds and im 5 foot 8 inches tall. My budget is around 6000$CAD and this will be the first time I'd ever been on a dirt bike. Doesnt matter if its new or used. Please give me some advice!
  11. I have a 2004 RM250 that I’m trying to remove the flywheel on, but I can’t get the flywheel remover tool to begin threading into the flywheel, I think it’s because of how corroded and gummed up the threads are but not completely sure. Does anyone else have this problem and any tips/solutions?
  12. I just recently got a 2001 yamaha yz250f and it is pretty tall for me I am 5'4 and I cant hop on the bike without something to step on one legged I dropped my bike a good amount of times due to this problem. I know if i lower the springs it can affect the performance but I'm barley starting to ride dirt bikes so I am not riding very fast to notice. Is there any cheap way to lower it? no shop will do it for me.
  13. Hey i just put in a Jd jet kit and used the blue needle in the middle position with the 25 and 155 jets. I just need to adjust the fuel air mixture with the screw. I just don't know how to reach it and was wondering what people use to manipulate it. I obv. don't want to have to pull the whole carb out if I can help it. Thanks. Edit: The bike is a 2008 drz400sm with a stock carb that I just rejected. The bike start but the throttle is sticking. As in I can turn the throttle and let it go, and it will stay there. I still need to adjust the fuel screw but don't want to take the carb out. Is there a tool that can reach up and adjust the fuel screw at a 90 degree angle?
  14. Im 14 years old and a i race, a 2018 kx100 ive had it for two years now and its time for a new cylinder. As ive gotten faster, ive noticed ive been needing a bit more power since i scream it in any gear. I also Just got a 2018 ktm 150 which has so much more power and im never close to touching the powerband on it :) . I was looking at the 112 kit so i could milk it for one more season but i have a few questions. And Yes My kx has a lot of "go fast" parts on it already (a Full fmf pipe and silencer, carbon reeds, Different jettings, Different carb spacer, wiseco piston, hinson clutch, over sized radiators, And a lot more) Here're the questions -will i need to run race gas -is it any faster -What's the best place to do it -How reliable will it be -Will it be too much for the bike? And If you have one put some weak points about the bike and some Good things about it. (The picture of it is Old) Thanks
  15. I know this question has been asked before, but so far nothing has gave me a good insight on what i should do, so i decided to make my own topic about my particular circumstance. I recently sold my CRF250R 4 stroke in order for me to get a new YZ125, or YZ250. i have years of experience on both 2 and 4 strokes, and have been riding for 15 years, but i am still unsure which one to get, and being that i will be financing, it is important for me to decide so i'm not stuck with one i don't like. About 2 years ago i owned a pretty nice 2009 KTM 250SX, but i always felt like the bike was a little too big for me (i am 5'11 at 190 pounds) and i could never rip it around the track or trails like i wanted to. I've heard the YZ125 is extremely fun, but i have also heard it is slow and has a unbearably low bottom end. ON THE OTHER HAND, i have also heard that the YZ250 is a lot easier to ride, but i have also heard its a bit too much and not as much fun. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and being this is my first post EVER, please excuse my grammar or if my sentences don't make sense, just really stuck on what to do and wanted some opinions to point me in the right direction :)
  16. Hello, I purchased a non-running 92 lt250r Quadracer. I rebuilt the top end and now it runs but the idle slowly increases until almost redline. Also, when this happens the kill switch does not work and I have to stall the bike before it sounds like it's going to explode. The Reed Intake Boot is torn pretty bad, could this be the culprit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  17. Hello im 14 and im selling my 400ex and buying a dirt bike but I dont know what to buy. I'm somewhere between 5'7-5'8 and about 160lbs, I have been told to get a yz250f or a yz125 i've never sat on either of those so it might be fine but at first glance they seem really tall. thoughts or suggestions?
  18. what would you pay for a 2007 drz400s with 27000kms that has a snapped output shaft? its not registered
  19. just Did oil change and removed this peice there is now space where it can moved back and forth slightly and do not know if this is ok
  20. I was curious about everyone thoughts on different from factory plastic color not just back and white but like red kawi or blue honda or anything like that because I know of some people who will tear you apart for even thinking about mismatching plastic colors and personality think its a tad ridiculous.
  21. Living in BC I’m obviously quite lucky. Some of my trails are a 15 min drive and then others are about half hour away. The riding around here is practically endless. It just goes from one to the next. You can ride all year to which is pretty cool. This isn’t me trying to brag. I realized the other day that many people in this forum drive for multiple hours to get to there trails, and it’s very seasonal. It made me not only feel blessed, but made me wonder if the sport for some is almost more like skiing where it’s like a day trip that’s once or twice a month for like 4 months of the year kinda thing.
  22. Hello, I have been thinking about getting a dual sport bike. I can't decide between KLX250 or WR250. I am 6ft. and 160 lbs. I will probably be mostly trail riding. Could I possibly be better to get a bike like the TT-R230 and making it into a dual sport? any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. I got into a small heated discussion with one of my coworkers the other day and i am still bugged by the conversation. Id like a little insight on the subject so feel free to share your opinion, concerns, comments or rambles. So i live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I just recently got into motorized riding and have been riding mountain biking for a few years now. I am outdoors as much as time allows. I care about the environment around me and do my best to clean up trails and keep nature as natural as possible. That said......My coworker is an intense Mountain biker. The discussion came about because i asked if she knew how to access a trail system near her house. She then attacked me verbally saying that us motorized riders don't respect trails, or we widen them, or we are just &%$#@!.(granted, we can all be &%$#@! or bitches if we want) I was a bit taken back by her accusations when all i did was ask a simple question. Now to her point if the trails were or are muddy and wet then i would indeed be destroying trails. But i wasn't planning on riding the trails, just wanted to figure out how to access them for when they do open in a week or so. Okay, all that being said my response to her was "I pay taxes, registration fees, my bike is insured, i have health insurance and i have to pay to use the trails on my bike. You however ride the same trails, motor ways and do damage to trails just like i do but do not pay ANY fees." SOOOO i guess my post is to ask a question to the community: Should mountain bikers be required to have a sticker to ride trails? Should they have to register their bike if riding on the road? Should us dirt bikers be allowed to ride mountain bike trails since we actually pay to use trails and roads?(I know, not very realistic) Have you ever had any troubles with a pedal biker on your dirt bike?

    DR250 Welch Plug

Hi everyone, my 1982 DR250 is buring oil, so I want to check and replace the piston rings. In the manual (3-8), it says to, "First, remove the welch plug.", but doesn't give a picture on where it is or how to do it. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? Thanks, Ru
  25. I’m currently getting back into riding after a good few years off and am looking for advice on a 2011 Crf250r I’m looking at. I’ll post the description below. I know I’ll be able to handle the bike, my question is if $3,500 is a fair price for it as I am not familiar with the effect aftermarket parts and rebuilds have on the value. Clean looking bike, just would appreciate any comments y’all have that could help me out. .................................................................... 2011 CRF250R professionally rebuilt by MotoLab. Suspension was rebuilt by BA Racing, tuned for a 145-pound rider but it can easily be adjusted by the rider. Adult owned, never raced, and meticulously maintained. I always ran 93 octane gas with VP octane booster and fuel stabilizer. The valves were just checked and are within spec. I am the third owner of the bike. The bike comes with a lot of aftermarket accessories: • Full FMF exhaust (Megabomb header and Powercore 4 Muffler) • New fuel pump and fuel filter • Takasago Excel A60 Rims and Michelin Tires • Renthal Bars and grips • Brand new Renthal Front and Rear Sprocket • Hammerhead Forged rear brake pedal • Tusk shifter • New Kickstarter • Moose Racing unbreakable clutch lever and Pro Circuit brake lever • Attack Graphics seat cover • Blue coolant hoses • Twin air filter (x3) • Brand new heavy duty chain • Tusk oversized foot pegs
