Hello folks, My wr just got a rear shock rebuild and everything seems fine till I take it for a ride and noticed the rubber on the rear shock moved up across the tube(the yellow part that in the image I attached) Is this something normal (to me it's not since I never got it before) and the guy who did the shock for me said it's normal So can you help me look at it to see if it's ok for the rubber part to move up like that?   2. Who is running a Rebound Separator valve on their Showa 50mm shock (DRZ in this case) and how did it influence your choice for your compression shim stack? I'm guessing the KYB might be applicable too. http://www.racetech.com/HTML_FILES/REBOUND_SEPARATOR.html TIA! 🙂 @Terry Hay

I can’t seem to get the bladder off my shock for a rebuild, I already replaced it but I put the c flip in the wrong grove and it exploded and now I can’t seem to get my shock bladder off again, and don’t feel like buying the rush tool to get it off.... I’ve tried everything to get it off and am just wondering if there is a way to fill it up with oil without taking the bladder off. Anything helps, thanks.

So after almost breaking my foot yesterday due to blown out bouncy ball suspension i'm pretty sure my rear shock is all &%$#@!ed up inside now i can't find any 98-02 rear shocks on ebay so im looking to upgrade to a kx250f rear suspension if this is possible what years will fit and what will i need to do this im figuring ill buy a new shock off ebay for that year for something more modern and just rebuild it to my weight over the summer any help is appreciated
  5. I have a 92 DR350s and the head seal is leaking on it, anyone know of any rebuild kits available for this model? Or does anyone know what other model years would be compatible to bolt onto this bike?
  6. Hey guys I'm new to this forum. Im looking for some help, I have a 1989 Yz 125 with blown rear suspension. The spring it self appears to be in good shape but the shock absorber is toast. The problem I'm having is trying to find information or even parts on how to rebuild it. I've called every part supplier there is and no one has a re build kit for it. I've talked to so many people. This is my last hope. Even if I could find what year shock I could buy to switch them out would help huge. Please help me!!!!! Thanks in advanced!
  7. Hi. As I'm fairly new to the DRZ, I wanted to ask some of you seasoned thumper-vets about an issue I'm going through right now. I have a '12 DRZ400S and when I went riding about 2 weeks ago, my friend noticed my rear shock reservoir leaking oil onto my exhaust pipe. Didn't think too much of it, wasn't going to let it ruin my day in the dirt. So I got home, and started tearing apart the swing arm and linkage to get at the shock to take it in for a rebuild. It's been at the shop for about a week now, and when I called for an update, I was told that they rebuilt it, new seals, oil and nitrogen...but that it's missing the compression adjuster screw for slow speed compression. The bike only has 4,000km on it...but it is a 2012....but c'mon, who loses a compression screw?!!?? Is this a known, or a common issue with the DRZ's? And on top of it all...the Suzuki dealers in Ontario, do not have this part. Conveniently they only sell the whole rear shock assembly...which is a nice round $2,000. Supposedly it's not even available for anything older than 2014s. What are my options for buying a new adjuster screw? Seems like a very specific item, and when the mechanic shop that works on dirt bikes, doesn't know where to buy one of these....this is a cause for concern. I'm trying to acquire a used one from facebook, but that'll be a week or so. Until then, all I can do is watch youtube videos to get my fix. Thanx, krystian

Hi guys, hope you can help me. i want to stiffen my rear suspension up on my Honda nx650. i was thinking about adding a spacer to pre-charge the spring, but maybe it is better to look for another option. anybody got a good advice for a stiffer rear suspension? would it be possible to just preplace the spring? hope you can help 🙂
