I'll cut to the chase then give a little back story, 2000 pw 80 I need to know which rear wheel spacer I need, is there any way someone can measure or provide info on which spacer I have and which one I need. Okay so I got handed a basket case pw80 from my uncle, left outside for the last year or so, rear chain hub assembly exploded and they just never fixed it, so I get a water beaten, no air filter having sun faded carb looked like a seamen filled toilet. motor was seized, let it sit over night with magical oil and she broke free, quite easily honestly, tore the bike down to the frame and motor, and I'm currently going through it, ordered new carb, re lubed all cables, did a ghetto oil pump delete and ordered everything to make her a track worthy pitter. Shes coming along nicely for the second day of "working on it"
So, I just purchased a used 2014 KX250f yesterday that I found a great deal on. Guy just wanted it gone. The only problem I am running into is the swingarm/rear wheel alignment. I have the pictures right below. I know the rear fender is off to the left a little but when I compared the wheel to the seat and frame, it still looks off. To me, in person, it looks as if the swingarm or the rear wheel is shifted to the right. I don't know exactly how to tell if it is off. Is there any measurement I can take? Also, if it is off. How can I fix it? I haven't been able to ride it yet to see if I can feel it out. I live in the suburbs, and I can't get to the track until this weekend. I can take more pics from different angles if you need me too. Any help will be appreciated. Also, I got the engine mapping plugs from the guy who owned it, but he didn't have any knowledge of how to use them. I know what the white, green, and black plugs do, I just don't know where to plug one in. When I was looking over the bike, there were a lot of plugs that looked just the same. So I'm not sure which one to exchange.
Ok folks, I've read forum after forum asking this same type of question without any definite answers. I'll try to phrase the question specific to my case. I have a 1995 Honda XR600. I need a new rear wheel (p/n 42650-MAG-305). In the forum's I've read that the Honda XR650L rear wheel isn't interchangeable due to the size of the axle, which in turn would point to bearings, collar and possibly other parts. The forum's have also stated detailed information such as the diameter of the axle, ID and OD of the bearings, the different size of the brake caliper. This information supposedly came from microfiche. I've seen references that the XR650L rear wheels (p/n 42650-MY6-326) are interchangealbe from years 93 - 07. These wheels are abundant on eBay. The XR600R wheels are non existent except 1980's models. Finally my questions. Where can I find definite information regarding the sizes of the various parts for the wheel assemblies ? If the sizes of the inner workings are different, could I canabalize the inner workings from my 600R and fit them to a 650L ? This would also be dependent on the brake caliper dimensions, OD diameters of bearings, and possibly bolt hole patterns of the sprockets and caliper. Thank you in advance for your knowledge and information on this subject.
