  1. how to relocate your key to the RH side of the front turn signal 1/4" thick aluminum plate 3" long 1 1/2" wide made this at work on a slow day after hours removed OEM key holder I had to do a bit of trimming on the plastic on the RH side above where the signal bolts to the head light housing how it trimmed it was by heating up a razor blade and cutting slowly trimming it back to fit nice and drilling and die grinding it down to fit the key housing in the plate i made. looks like i drilled a 3/8" hole to bolt it with the signal light just have to unplug the light and unbolt the light and remove the washer and nut and install the key bracket in on the signal light bolt and install the washer and nut. and install key cylinder and adjust where you would like the key to sit for off and on
  2. Hey again; in the process of rebuilding my top end I decided it would be good idea to relocate my voltage regulator. Previous owner has broken off the welds that hold it into place and instead of drilling or trying to re-weld brackets for it (Tube tank, and I'm not altering my oil storage device) I wanted to relocate it elsewhere. Also I will eventually be putting an Acerbis 5.8 tank on here so I would have to relocate it at that time anyways. For the time being it was being held up with safety wire... seems legit. There's not a ton of options but I've seen people mount it behind the battery box or inside the right side panel above the muffler. I saw one guy, I guess, relocate his CDI to inside his airbox and that got my thinking to relocate the regulator there. Plenty of airflow to cool it and there's plenty of space, but I would always like a second opinion. Where do yall think the best place to put it is? I can't put it back in the stock position due to the broken mounting tabs.
  3. Hey there, So I've been doing a bunch of stuff which all started when I purchased a used Scott's damper for 'cheap'. One of the most expensive things I've ever bought for the DRZ it turns out since it snowballed into about $1000 of other stuff... Anyhow, I got the BRP top clamp for my 400s, submount kit, blah blah... All went well but the dash doesn't clear. Called BRP, there is no spacer kit from them or Scotts. OK, spaced it myself, but now the speedo drive doesn't properly reach and the headlight cowl doesn't fit. I'm thinking it needs to go down and not just back. Or I need to get an aftermarket speedo and lose the drive cable. Anyone have pictures of how they made this work? Thanks!
