Basically I have cracked my DRZ 125 frame but I have heard the DR and DRZ motors are essentially the same. Could I use a DR 125 frame for a replacement? Im sick of welding mine and cannot find any DRZ frames in the UK. I have looked at a DR frame recently and the motor looking like it'll find like a glove, my only trouble is obviously a seat, fuel tank ETC but I'll probably cut the old mounts off the Z and weld them. But can anyone confirm if the motor will fit or not? Like I said, sick of welding my frame every two months. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I just have a quick question about getting replacement plastic for a 2005 yz 125 that has the polisport restyle kit on it. Recently broke my wrist during a ride and messed up my front fender and one of the radiator shrouds. Looking to get replacements for em. I know you can buy polisport for the newer yz125's but my question is what year is the same as the polisport restyle, if they are the same at all. I think 2015+ is all the same but just making sure before i make the purchase. Let me know what I can buy.

Has anyone seen one of these for sale ON THIS CONTINENT? Nothing against the South Africans but shipping cost must be prohibitive. http://dirtbikeafrica.com/Store/index.php?route=product/product&path=64_59&product_id=147

Wondering if anyone has had any luck with a non-chinese, non-OEM carburetor replacement for the BW80. I picked up an '86 sans-carb, and I cant find an OEM carb assembly anywhere.. lots of chinese knock-off for between $15-30, but experience has taught me that these are generally garbage. I have been considering a Mikuni VM18 or VM20 carburetor, but would like to know if anyone has had luck with these or a different assembly. The VM18/VM20 assembly would require installation of the carb such that the choke and adjustment screws would be on the back-side of the carb, which might be a PITA to get to. Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I'm working with a 06' YZ250F. I'm figuring I need a new cylinder but this is what I'm working with. I was in the process of replacing the crank bearings and when taking it apart i noticed that one of the piston curclips came off and ended up damaging the lower half of the cylinder. It's not terribly deep buts its definitely there. I found the clip in the bottom end once I split the case. I didn't find much of any metal shavings at all once apart. Just the mangled clip. What are your thoughts? Mandatory to replace the cylinder? It's an old bike and not to sure if its worth buying a new cylinder. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Guys, I’m new here! Also only 20 years old haha! - a couple years back I acquired my grandads old DR400s.... (long story, he bought it brand new in 1980, sold it to his cousin in 81, it then got put in storage from 81 - 2016) basically I spent a good 6 months fully restoring this beautiful bike! (Favourite bike I have ever worked on) - stupidly low miles and two registered keepers from new!!. The downside to it being stored is there was fuel left in the tank and carb! - I’ve had the carb to bits multiple times, soaked in many types of cleaner... I still am having issues getting the thing to start. basically I was just wondering if anyone had managed to find an Aftermarket carb that is a straight swap for this bike that won’t ruin the bank!!

So my negligence has left me with several hooked teeth on the balancer drive sprocket (directly behind the flywheel on crankshaft). I need some help on replacing it. 1.) The manual states that i need special tool 09917-23711 (ring nut socket wrench) in order to remove the old one and torque down the replacement. I've seen the Suzuki branded tool for $114 - 180. There's also an undbranded one on ebay for $60. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-Cranksh ... 2630!US!-1 If I can help I'd rather not have to purchase a tool I'm only going to use once. Does anyone have one they can lend me if I put a deposit on it? 2.) The manual also states that I need a Conrod Holder #09910-20116, I'm guessing that would stop the crank from spinning during removal and reinstallation. Is there any way I could get around this as well? I've seen a youtube video of someone locking up the piston by feeding a shoestring through the sparkplug hole. I'm not sure I trust that not to go wrong and have dirt/fabric in my cylinder. If I put the bike in gear and ratchet strap the rear wheel to the frame or something more stout, like a tree, would that prevent the crank from spinning? 3.) Also part # 12662-37402 Suzuki balancer drive sprocket usually runs about $130 new. Does anyone have a used one in decent condition they'd be willing to cut me a deal on?

I recently broke my kill switch on my Honda Crf50 Pitbike. A replacement is on it's way, and I'd rather fix it myself than pay $48.00 of labor... (rip off). Does anyone know how to properly connect the new kill switch? Is the connecting piece behind the front number plate, or do I have to take off the gas tank and seat to wire to the CDI? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ **(I was going to upload some pictures so you know what I'm working with, but I can't seem to download the pictures. I'll upload them if I can figure it out.)**

Hi there peeps, I have recently dented and cracked my left side crankcase cover on my 02 DRZ-400S and this has left me with a slow but steady leak of engine oil. Needless to say, I now cannot ride and want to purchase a replacement as soon as possible so I can get back on the trails. I hear this is a common occurrence, as the OEM covers are made of fairly brittle magnesium... gonna invest in a cover guard from thumpertalk as well to prevent it happening in the future. Anyways, I found a site that sells the cover for what I think is a good deal, however there are 2 versions of the same part and I am unsure of which one to purchase. I have attached a photo illustrating the location of the crack as well as posted the link to the website. My question is, do I need part 18-1 or 18-2? Many thanks guys http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d3af14f8700220d0b72914/crankcase-cover

I have a 2013 yx160 gen 3(best generation) motor and the time has come for a new set of friction plates and steels as i wore the original clutch out finally. I want to know what kinda plates would work. Looks like a klx110 but has a crf50 mounting system. I have searched online and all i can find is oem plates and edc braking clutch plates. Was wondering if anyone out there would have any recommendations? Or should i stick to china oem friction plates and steels?

I've searched the forum for info on this, but can't find anything except for a shock in the TT shop. I'm in the process of rebuilding my 2005 SM, front to back. After running the engine into the ground, too little oil and stupidity, I have ordered a big bore kit. As I'm doing that, I want to get the suspension redone as well, but all the rebuilders over here refuse to service the OEM Showa rear shock, as it "will always be a poor quality shock". What are good replacement options? What is the OEM shock length eye-to-eye? Are there progressive springs for the forks? Thanks a lot!

This is my last ditch effort to keep this bike as I've checked everything else. Has anyone tried one of these? Less than $200 vs nearly $600 from Honda... Thanks

Got a 2002 CR250 and Im thinking about replacing the spokes and rims or getting new wheels altogether. I do like the thought of having 2 sets of wheels but a set of wheels can be expensive. What are the best budget wheels available? Which brands use OEM bearings and spacer? What brand should I stay away from?
