Why do you bounce off the rev limiter before you shift? I see no need for that.

Hello everyone, Silly question here, but i'm not quite sure if my '15 CRF250R with a Yoshimura slip-on has a rev-limiter, as i can never hear it high in the gear (what i think is high.. as i don't know how much it likes to rev..). Is there something i can check to see if it has one? or am i perhaps not even hitting it? I'm fairly new to this type of stuff so thought i'd come here and ask. Thanks in advance!

Hi all. My KTM 690 2012 drive me crazy. I was on a trip recently and suddenly it back fires at low rpm in 1st gear. It was hard to start again but after some trying it starts up again BUT! When I turn the throttle it dies immediately, I can manage to turn throttle slow, but when it hits 4000 rpm the Rev limiter sets in. No matter what, it can not go over 4000 rpm it just goes like bum,bum,bum,bum,bum,bum...It starts fine and idle fine no problem! it change spark plug and cap, change fuel filter ( all of them ) adjust valves, check injection and it is also fine. There are no FI code and motor runs fine. Battery is fully change and when it runs it charge with 14v. have any one and idea of what is going on?

I bought a Raptor 660 a few weeks ago Yamaha Racing I did these things to clean it up: Oil Change/Filter Change K&N filter clean and oil Spark Plug Change Coolant flush and change When filled with fuel, the carbs would dump so I sent to a mechanic who rebuilt the carbs He started it and it revved and rode around fine I took it to the trails and reversed it away from the trailer and began trying to ride but it would ride to maybe 5-10mph and then backfire and bog There was/is a loud clicking from the front of the quad when it bogs (you may be able to hear it in the video) I looked on the forums and everything was pointing to the reverse or the parking brake sensor I did everything I found online: I grounded the wire from the reverse sensor (white clip under the right side) I disconnected the white clip from the parking brake sensor at the clutch I clipped the green/yellow wire at the CDI Here are a few videos to help: Before any of the wiring modifications: After the PB Delete: After the Reverse and PB Delete: -
Hello, I just bought a husqvarna sm125s. I am unable to rev out first and second gear, it bogs down and it sounds like its maybe hitting a Rev limiter? The bike runs good, and revs out in the rest of the gears. Its only in first and second gear i am having problems? What could be the reason for this? The tps sensor is not connected, i dont know if that is an issue as it runs good in the rest of the gears. sorry for bad english.
