Hi everyone, ive got an eighties PE 175 I’ve recently restored, which I’m running silkolene comp 2 premix which is ok, but I don’t think it’s really any good, although everyone raves how good it is for older dirtbikes. I was thinking of bel ray or Castro’s as I ran these on other bikes when I was younger ( more for the smell) I’m rebuilding the engine later in the year, and if it’s anything like the bodges I seen on the rest of the bike it will all need doing so I wanna run it something that wont kill everything. Thanks in advance

rm125 1992 Suzuki rm125 Wont kick start
DrEthan22 posted a topic in Motorcycle Engineering & Fabrication
So i bought a 1992 rm125 about 1 week ago and it ran fine! i got it home and rode it for about 3 days, then after i let it cool down for about 20 minuets it would not start! I checked for spark, and for some reason, there was no spark. I bought a new ngk plug, and still nothing! I went through all the usual stuff, and still nothing! I bought a new stater, put it on, and now it will bump start, but not start using the kick starter. ( the kick starter is 100% good ) I think it may be the ignition coil, but i am not 100% sure. Any ideas? -
So basically. I got this yuuuuggeee RM250 in a trade. It is a really nice bike. I really didn't know much about it when I got it, except that it was very pretty and extremely fast. Anyways, I look it up and find that its the only year of air cooled engine w/ mono shock suspension. Anyways I have been storing the bike ever since on inside of my house and I think its time to make some space. The bike deserves to be ridden more... Honestly, I am a little afraid of how fast it is! And in case you can't tell where this is going... I decided to sell the bike and thought maybe you would be interested. I know its not from the best era or the coolest bike you've ever seen... But it is clean, fast, and pretty dang rare. If you appreciated that I didn't just throw this at you and say BUY MY BIKE and instead wrote a semi-thoughtful write up about it and then hooked in the advertisement at the end. You should check out the bike on Ebay. Ill put the link below. It deserves a good home. Someone like you. Someone like your son who's birthday is coming up. If someone wants it come and get it. No reserve, I sell to highest bidder no questions asked. I will help with shipping, provide more info, etc at jonahdeich@gmail.com. The bike is located in Savannah, Georgia http://www.ebay.com/itm/222475245091?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

how does my 03 rm 125 plug look?
Kawasuzuki456 posted a topic in Motorcycle Jetting & Fuel Injection
hey guys. i have an 03 rm 125 with jetting issues. i've jetted it multiple times. currently has all stock jetting (460 main,40 pilot, 3 down on clip) and i'm running amsoil dominator full synthetic premix. was running castor 927 but fouled a $30 plug which i'm not very happy about. anyways.. does my plug look alright? should i run a $30 plug in it? i'm not trying to get it too lean, and i'm not trying to foul plugs. 440 (next size down) is too lean. not sure what to do. this is how my plugs are looking right now. there not too wet, just pretty dark -
What size jets should I run for a fmf fatty header and a fmf shorty silencer

Hey guys I have a 1987 rm125 and I'm looking to get some handguards. I want some handguards that look somewhat good on my bike and cuz it's vintage I'm not sure what would look nice. I would love to hear what handguards you guys would suggest running. I know it's not looks that matter most but I'd really like the handguards to look good on the bike.

I just bought a 1999 rm125. The clutch is worn and when I start it and shift from neutral to first, with the clutch pulled in, it jumps and stalls. Know that I need to replace the clutch, but what exactly do I replace? Do I buy just the clutch kit with separator, friction plates, and springs? Or do I buy the clutch kit and the basket or just the basket?

I have a Voss helmet and really like it I was wondering if anyone else has experience with their products and what they think.

Hello all, Im in a bit of a snafoo. I’m in the middle of revalving my forks on my 93 rm250 (45mm showas) and I’ve come to realize that I am missing the needle valve from one of the forks. I’m looking all over for a replacement, but I can’t find anything. Does anybody have an idea of where I can find this part? It’s discontinued so im doubtful that a new part is available anymore. mfg # 51192-43D00 damper rod needle ive included some pictures to help anyone understand which part I am looking for. It is part #14 on the diagram.

Hello everyone, so i just replaced the clutch plates in my rm100 i noticed there was one extra metal plate at the back that shouldn't be there, anyway after putting everything back together and taking it for a ride as soon as it gets into powerband the bike just revs to the moon and doesn't go anywhere is there anything i should have checked/replaced?. theatrically if the clutch springs were worn and not as tight as they should be would it make sense that someone would put an extra metal plate at the back to space out the clutch plates and have more tension on the springs to avoid replacing them?. any help would be appreciated cheers

I recently got a 02 rm125. I learning a lot of things about this bike main thing is the power valve adjustment. I’m looking for the best power curve for motocross. There is a adjuster on the cylinder where you can turn it either clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust it. I want to know the right way to adjust it and which would be best for the riding I do. Will I lose the top end power? I would look at a manual but can’t find one online. For the early 2000s rm owners i want to know all of the features that could tune power on these things and best recommendations for parts and adjustments. The last picture is from a rm250. You can kinda see it in on the second one.

HI guys, last post recieved great help so hoping the same here, basically I think I’m experiencing some timing issues on my 02 rm125. The timing marks on the magneto were slightly out by like a degree or less, in favour of an earlier spark, worried that I was gunna fry the piston, I moved the timing marks by a degree in favour of a later spark just for piece of mind that I wasn’t harming my freshly rebuilt engine, since doing this o think I can hear the bike ‘pinging’ when riding at a steady speed, and has developed a ticking noise from the top end, it runs okay maybe a little splutter before the valve opens and possibly down on power a little but I ride a sports bike so maybe it’s just not that fast compared, but once it’s cleared out it sings through the gears as it should, can anyone help? Will post a picture of current position on magneto, also I haven’t proper tool for measuring tdc but by feel on the fly wheel this is pretty much where it’s at, that can’t be right considering the crank turns anti clockwise?

After completing a CR125 rebuild and turning a nice little profit, I picked up a 2006 RM125 off Craigslist. The price was a little high at $1800 considering it didn't run but all the other RMs I found looked beat to death. Once I tore the bike down, the good news was the crank was in great shape but the piston looked like it had never been changed. It was barbecued and the cylinder scratched up but luckily no damage the bottom end. The shock and forks need service and the carb had to be rebuilt. The plan is to replate the cylinder, rebuild the suspension, add aftermarket exhaust, Boyesen Rad valve, and then dress it up with new plastic, touch up the frame paint and add graphics. Oh, and get a new seat cover. After removing the plastic and tank, I was pleased to find the frame in great condition. I was able to locate some factory color paint at Colorrite in a spray can. I highly recommend this company. The paint was a perfect match and all I had to do was tape off the bike and a few passes where the color had been rubbed off. I was really pleased with the results. Finished with a clear coat and its like new again. I have been working with 180Decals and they are creating an RM version of the H.E.P. Motosports FXR factory graphic kit for me and Guts offers the 2018 RMZ blue seat cover. I had gone back and forth on graphics but 180Decals crushed it on this design. I wanted to stay with blue and yellow and this fit the bill. More to come soon!

In April 2017 when I was 13, I bought myself a DRZ 125. In November of 2017, I sold that bike and bought myself a screaming YZ85. When I got bored of the low top speed of the 85, I sold it and went back to the 4 stroke. Right now, as of April-July 2018 I have had a CRF230F with MANY performance parts. I am beginning to want more power and am wondering something. I keep switching back and forth between 2 strokes and 4 strokes but I think I want my next bike to be a 2 stroke. Unless someone can give me good reason otherwise, that's what I want to go with. Anyways, I'm wondering whether or not to jump the gun and get a 250 2 stroke or just go for a 125. I've ridden many 125s during the period that I've had the 230, and they just don't seem powerful enough to satisfy me over time. On the other end, I don't want to get a 250 and be scared of my own dirtbike. I'm a lean 5'8 guy that weighs 135 pounds. I carry most my weight in my legs and arms which helps me control and kick over the bigger bikes lol. So what do you guys think? I've tamed every bike I've owned pretty quickly so far, but I think it's just because I haven't owned anything really fast. Anyways, I will either go with a 250 or 125 depending on you guys' opinions. Or some of you will suggest a 4 stroke? Any suggestions/recommendations appreciated! Thanks!

Just replaced my entire suspension and the forks are very stiff even when loosened all the way. I was wondering if the forks just needed to be ridden on to break them in.

I need a new front brake hose for my 04 rm125. I like the stock look better than the braided hose. When I go to buy one, there are two stock options, 59480-36E30 for K1-K3 and 59480-37F11 for K4-K6. My bike is a K5. However the K1-K3 model is much cheaper. Will 59480-36E30 fit and do the model # matter that much?

My friend recently got his chain adjuster bolt that threads into the swingarm stuck because the previous owner put loctite or something on it and the bolt broke and is almost but not completely flush with the swingarm. he tried drilling it out and it didn't work, tried an easy out and the easy broke and is stuck inside the bolt now. Any tips to avoid buying a whole new swingarm?
