Can anybody help with some information on a PR2 build cost? Long story short, bought a used RM85L that had a ton of work done. Full PR2 Suspension, PC pipe, assortment of anodized fasteners and brackets... But the one thing I can't find a price on, nor can my local shop, is how much the engine will cost to be repaired back to it's pre-theft condition. It is an RM112 Works Stroker Motor from PR2 Racing. The police need a quote and the PR2 website doesn't have anything set in stone. Have any of you recently purchased this package from PR2, and if so, could you tell me the cost before tax? When the bike was stolen, I had just removed the gas tank and top end to replace the piston and ring. This was late 2016. Jeff had corresponded with me at that point, and after inspection of all parts, he said the piston looked ok so just buy a ring. Whoever had stolen the bike also stole the box of parts sitting next to it (but they forgot to grab the gas tank and frankensteined an older one on LOL), and put everything back together. In doing so, they put too long of a bolt in the power valve cover, cracking a small part of the cylinder, left a large amount of dirt and debris in the bottom end, only torqued 3 out of the 4 base nuts, improperly torqued the head (pr2 super coolhead) leading to combustion gasses leaking into the coolant passages, and made numerous other smaller careless mistakes. Thanks for any help!

I recently bought a broken kx100 that suposedly only needed a kick start gear. So i bought a parts engine and replaced the lower unit with a working one and did a top end rebuild. It put it partially back together following all torque requirements and tried starting it. i tried kicking it but the kick start will engage but wont return back up after i kick it. So i decided to bump start it (with the original gas it came with, idk if its bad or not). After giving up on kick starting i bump started it, this after a while made it start up and run crappy a few times. But every time it would start after 1 minute it would die and come to a complete stop. The piston would not move in gear when i would pushed the bike. So i took off the flywheel housing and spun it from there, once i did that the piston freed up would move when in gear. and also would start and move for only a minute and then return to doing the same thing. It seems like the engine internals are binding up on something or something is not in there properly. Anyone had a simular problem as me? this is driving me nuts because i have alot of money in the bike and it starts bud doesnt run correctly

Should I buy my friend's RM85? Help.
KTM_rider_EK_17 posted a topic in What Motorcycle Should I Buy?
Hi guys, my friend is selling his 2007 RM85 for $500 right now and I need to hear more opinions on if it is worth it or not. I believe that it has a blown top end, the forks are out of oil, radiators have no fluids, and its overall a kind of ratty bike. I want to buy it from him and do a top end, clean it up, re-do the fork seals and fill the forks up, and just rebuild it in general. Is this worth the $500? I do NOT want to have to replate this thing or do a bottom end. I want to fix it up and make money. Is it worth it? -
rm125 1992 Suzuki rm125 Wont kick start
DrEthan22 posted a topic in Motorcycle Engineering & Fabrication
So i bought a 1992 rm125 about 1 week ago and it ran fine! i got it home and rode it for about 3 days, then after i let it cool down for about 20 minuets it would not start! I checked for spark, and for some reason, there was no spark. I bought a new ngk plug, and still nothing! I went through all the usual stuff, and still nothing! I bought a new stater, put it on, and now it will bump start, but not start using the kick starter. ( the kick starter is 100% good ) I think it may be the ignition coil, but i am not 100% sure. Any ideas? -
Hi, I have an issue with my RM 85... I bought it a couple months ago and am having a problem. For the most part my bike will run just fine. But once in awhile I will let off the throttle and the rpms will hang for a few seconds then drop back down. I know for a fact my bike is running pretty rich so it definitely isn't a lean condition. I know it isn't just me whiskey throttling because I will completely let off and it will still hang for a couple of seconds. This may be a carburetor problem or cable problem I don't know. I turned the handlebars both ways and I don't hear the rpms go up. Please help me because I have no idea what it truly is. And just to restate, it will only do this very rarely, like once a ride but it usually is fine. Thank you for any help.

rm85 RM85 Steering Stem (neck) Length on the frame
cultomoto posted a topic in Motorcycle Suspension
I'm contemplating a fork swap - the RM85 USD forks to an XR150 (Sold as Hero Implulse in India). I know there are multiple factors to consider and one answer I'm not finding is the length of the neck stem where the triple tree's center arm is inserted into the frame. I'm looking for the following information... 1. Length from top to bottom of the neck stem on the chassis/frame 2. Length between the top-plate and bottom-plate of the RM85 Triple Tree (where the bearings are flushed into the frame) 3. The tolerance the triple tree has to be moved around on the fork stem (considering the BW & SW triple tree positions are different) Cheers!
